OMG! I was laying here watching this and now i'm getting dressed to go shopping. LOL.. You should add a Warning to the start of this video. 🙂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Sorry! 😊
I did add a warning, go with a budget!!!❤️
🤣🤣🤣🤣. It is for a good cause.
🤣🤣🤣 It is!
@ oh i got your reply too late! hahaha I went yesterday and found so much dual purpose stuff. Cute stuff too. I spent so long in there without the hubby! So relaxing.
@@josieprofi Glad you had a relaxing time shopping, and found what you needed.
Tip: If you want to keep that bicycle pretty and bright spray top coat/shellac over the flowers. I do this on all of my metal pieces in the garden to keep the UV light from dulling the colors and it works.
Oh. my. goodness! Such a great tip! Thank you so much for sharing. Consider me influenced! ❤️
Yes I do that as well. Actually any outdoor decor piece I always use a sealer.
I've had fantastic success with Dollar Tree seeds! I've actually had better germination rates with them than some very expensive companies at times. Also all of the round pots have lasted me many seasons...not so much with the rectangle or square containers. I hope my local store has those hanging pots, I'd like to try those!
The seeds are the real deal! Thank you for reviewing them. I hope more people will try them. The germination rate is superb!
Let me know if you try the hanging pots, I've loved them so far in the garden.
Thanks for watching! ❤️
I love DT seeds: I'm always stalking them for when they first get put out for the best selection. This year I got purple tomatillo ❤ can't wait
Oh, wow. I haven't ever seen the tomatillo there. I've got to go take another look. Thanks for sharing! ❤️
Ooooh, I was going to buy that for WAY MORE from an online store! I'm on the lookout in DT now 👀👀 - thank you!
Right? The price difference is real!
@missbttrsctch inwas so sad because I thought I'd ordered them and then I somehow had missed them: so when I saw them at DT I was stoked!
Dollar tree seeds always grew for me !
Me too! I LOVE dollar tree seeds! ❤️
I love dollar tree seeds .. I buy seeds there ever year both flowers and veggies
They have great seeds! Thank you for sharing, maybe we can entice a few others to try Dollar Tree seeds. Cheap doesn't equal bad!
I use the plant markers all the time! They’re perfect for when you’re seed starting.
That's good to know. Thanks for answering my question. ❤️
Yes, I use them too. They are reusable. I write with a sharpie, but with a little alcohol and a good rub, the writing will come off ready for you to use again.
@@andreakovach6974 That's good to know. Thanks for sharing. ❤️. Do they last more than one season?
@ Same
Nice. It seems like the plant labels are a winner!
My comment is concerning the plant clips. I use them in the garden and in my house! I use them to keep my curtains closed!! If you are in a hotel, most of the time, the drapes never block out the morning sun!! Use the clips!
Wow! Multifunctional clips. Thanks for sharing! ❤️
Thats a brilliant tip! 👍😃
What fun shopping with you!
@@franbeller5897 Thank you. I am glad you came along!
I have the thermometer too! its so cute. very summery. thank you for this video, your voice is so calming
The thermometer is cute! You are so welcome, and thank you for your kind words! ❤️
I love the way you walk through all the items in the garden area and explain them one by one! You're so detailed! Nice speaking voice!
So nice of you. Thank you so much! ❤️
I got the garden is my happy place sign😊
...because those words ring so true! They knew what they were doing!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Love the plant clips❤seeds❤
Dollar Tree has some great garden buys! And their seeds can't be beat! I have a video coming soon on Dollar Tree seeds, so stay tuned.
Thank you so much for watching my video! ❤️
I’m so ready for planting and to be out sun on my face and back and hands in the dirt.❤❤❤❤
So very ready!! I miss gardening. But I am getting my gardening fix by Winter Sowing, and by overwintering my peppers. It scratches the itch for me !
And to think I don't actually like being out in the sun or being hot. I prefer the cool temperatures in winter! That tells you gardening is really something!
Thanks for watching! ❤️
The little domes you got. I gave up on them. I posted on my buy nothing facebook page and asked if anyone had any of those five gallon water jugs. They did. I got twenty. Ten of them I cut the bottoms off. They work great in the garden. I planted a lot of thing in April with the domes it it worked great. The other 10 I filled with water out by my shed last fall. I grow comfrey I use for fertilizer. I blend the leave with water and poor around my plants once a month. But in the fall. I picked the last of the leave tore them and put the them in the water. Where they still are. 10-5 gallons of comfrey tea will probably feed my plants all summer. I will dry my comfrey leaves this year and grind to a powder and mix with my soil next year to amend my soil from this year. Just a tip if you don’t have at comfrey I just suggest you plant some. They get pretty blue flowers that the bees love.
The five gallon water jugs sound great.
I did plant comfrey last year, but the Russian comfrey that doesn't flower, so it doesn't spread around the garden. Can't wait for it to be established so I can be great like you and make comfrey tea!
Thanks for watching, and for your tips. ❤️
Research the medicinal uses of Comfrey. You might want to plant more for your health.
I would love to see your garden. Your DT has many more decor items than mine carries. I enjoyed your video.
Thank you. I am glad you enjoyed the video. 😊
You may want to try a different Dollar Tree location. Different stores carry different items, even in the same state.

Same here! God bless you too! ❤️
The seeds are great. I have never had any problem with their seeds.
Thank you for your review of Dollar Tree seeds. They really are great, and a good deal as well. ❤️
Finding joy in the garden and finding joy and Dollar tree. I love their stackable planters. Also, those little clams are so awesome. Awesome. Thanks for the wonderful video, my friend. It’s fun to see what other dollar store carry. 💙💚💛🧡💜 Liz
@@GardenHappy Finding joy at Dollar Tree! 🤣🤣🤣
The stackable planters are so cute.
Thank you for watching! ❤️
Went to Dollar tree today and was amazed to see everything they had for gardening! My new favorite store! ❤🌱
@@rookiegardeningjournal They do have some great things!
I used the garden fence. The bottom spikes break pretty easily, so be careful if your soil is not all loosened. Dollar tree is pretty good for one season. The trellis breaks where you stick in the ground. The seeds were 4 for $1 at my Dollar tree in Ohio. I grew most of my garden plants from these heirloom seeds last year. They are an amazing deal and heirloom. The best seeds. I grew beautiful marigolds and saved my seeds from last year's plants and ended up with hundreds. I bought some seed starting pots this year. I want to try starting some seedlings soon. I loved the green plant clips. They work well, but be careful b/c they will break. I was able to fix them after I figured them out. I also used the plant labels. They work well, but my pen faded over the summer. I used metallic ink. Use a sharpie. I would not recommend any cheap tools from there except a trowel or hand rake. No pruners or saws, or knee pads, or solar lights.. I bought the box of parsley to stick in the ground. It DID NOT grow. All in all, most things are good, esp the seeds. I bought tons of seeds last year and this year. They all grew except the lavender. I since learned how to grow it. I will try again. I also used tons of the 3 part seed pots to grow strawberry plants from the runners. I grew 150 from one original strawberry plant. 😊 I bought my strawberry plant from Lowes.
Thank you for such a detailed review of so many of the Dollar Tree products. It is very helpful. Now I know to loosen up the soil first before I set up the fence. ❤️
I just went and picked up some flowers seeds and bulbs, dollar tree is my go to for wildflower seeds and flower bulbs every year
@@ChristopherAustin-vj9uu Oh, cool. My store didn't have bulbs, but they did last year.
Me, too!
@ Did your store have bulbs?
Yay! We are going shopping!
Oh, yes! We sure are. I hope you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching. ❤️
It's a shame the Dollar Tree here in my town is so dirty & messy! Most of the items are strewn all over the floor and it's so disorganized I don't even shop in it anymore!
This one on your video is so very neat!
Oh, no! Then it probably isn't helpful for me to mention that this location was actually much messier on the day I filmed than it usually is. That makes it worse, doesn't it? 🥺
It is unfortunate that your Dollar Tree is so messy. It can be a fun place to shop.
I invite you to live vicariously through me.
Thank you for watching, and may there be neater stores in your future. ❤️
Buy a drawer organizer from the Dollar Tree to hold your seed packets. make a label for the drawers.
That sounds like a great idea. Thanks for sharing. ❤️
Just found your page…love love love❤. Been gardening my whole life. Can’t wait to follow your garden this year. I live in Covington Georgia.
Well, hello there, neighbor! ❤️
Thank you so much. You are so kind. I am so glad you are here. Welcome, Garden Friend!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉

The "orange" pots are meant to mimic Terracotta, which is a type of earthenware ceramic that many many gardening pots were made of. Terracotta has been used for thousands of years in many countries & is still being used today. It was always tricky planting in Terracotta because it is porous & absorbs moisture. It can be helpful with cacti & succulents but not with anything needing extra water.
In various countries, including Mexico, you will still see many of the floors & other tile work are using Terracotta.
Anyway, I love to stock up on common gardening tools at DT. I usually get tons of gloves & scissors & they last me the rest of the summer.
I see you noticed my hestitation!! 🤣🤣🤣 I wanted to say Terracotta, but the orange struck me as just a little lighter than terracotta, so I backtracked. I don't use real Terracotta in my garden because it strikes me as high maintenance, and with it being "extra drying" to boot, it is a definite and resounding no from me.
Thank you for sharing, and for going shopping with me! ❤️
21:11 Yay‼️ Glad that you found these and purchased them. I have thought about them for my homeless "friend". But I might want it for myself too. 😇
Take Care,
🇯🇲
The solar lamp? It is so cute!
Thank you for watching. ❤️
New subscriber. Thank you! ❤😊
My pleasure. ❤️
Welcome aboard, Garden Friend! 🎉🎉🎉
@FindingJoyintheGarden Thank you! 😊
😊
Nice visit to the Dollar Tree! I was there yesterday (Virginia) and they still did not have the seeds. But I did get some other things that are garden related the other times when I was checking for seeds. I was wondering about that Thermometer. I need at least one, looked at Amazon, but even there the reviews are not that good, and they are much more expensive!
But if you say that this one does work, I will get one or two for that price. I also got some pots, watering can, 3 of those stackable pots for the first time. I don't know yet what I will put into them. Also a few of those pots to hang onto a railing. I can't wait to start gardening in totes on my patio (inspired by Robbie). :)
Interesting that they would have garden supplies but no seeds! They will stock them soon enough, I guess.
You got some great buys.
Wishing you all the best on your gardening journey.
Thanks for watching, and sharing your finds with me.❤️
Fredericksburg, Va store had seeds already.
@@maryholgate5037 Good to know. Then it cannot be long before they have them in my store(s). :)
I love Robbie !
How many seeds are in these packs .? I have so many seeds …but it would be interesting to try these. You are right about it would be quick to spend a lot with all of those fun things / decorations 😂
They feel like a standard seed pack weight, even heavier than some more expensive brands. The Zinnia pack I bought last year was 225mg. I used some already, but it still has about 40 seeds left in the pack.
It all adds up pretty quickly when you are picking up fun things at Dollar Tree!
Thanks for watching! ❤️
I do now have a collection of the waste baskets and the domes for very early spring hosta protection. I have bunnies that appear each spring and love the tender new leaves of my hostas.
Don't get me started on those bunnies! Those baskets do help, for sure.
I also bought the big pots, 5 of them, 12 packs of seeds, all of the bird houses one i ended up giving to my sister, and that was a turtle, not a frog I bought for my sister. They didn't have the spinner at mine, but I would have bought the copper looking one too. I love the lights you got. They didn't have them at my Dollar Tree. I bought the wire cage light last year and it never worked. Ended up throwing it away. I have some of the lights of the spike kind that go in the ground from 3 years ago and still working. I just put them in my pots. I need to go to another Dollar Tree and see if I can find some of the items you found. ❤
Oh, my store didn't have the turtle bird house. That sounds cute!
The spinner was cute. I have never bought a spinner before, because I didn't quite care for the brightly colored ones I had seen in the past, but this was right up my alley.
Thank you for letting me know about the wire cage lights. I had a sneaky suspicion about that one.
Thank you so much for sharing, and I hope you find the items you need. ❤️
I got my seeds my first year now I seed my fruit and flowers every year. And then what I can’t dry I buy at the dollar tree at least what I could get. And those leaves you showed if you put them in or by you garden. Add marbles or those shines flat side stone you get there in the crafts put the stones in the leaf add water the bees will come to it for water.
Dollar Tree seeds are really good, and affordable too.
Ooh, that idea for a "bee bath" sounds great. But unfortunately, the leaf is wooden, so I think it would rot.
Thank you so much for watching, and for your comment. ❤️
I love my folding garden saw, it is a brand name from HomeDepot. I have 35-40 year old trees and it cuts through the branches great. Going to grab one of those, can't pass it up for the price.
Oh, really. Is it the same brand? Are you saying I have to go back and get it? Because I just may if you are vouching for it. 😂
@@FindingJoyintheGarden Mine from Home Depot are Fiskar brand. However, I ran to Dollar Tree yesterday and grabbed one of theirs and looks the same. What I like best about these folding saw is I can close it up and put it in my back pocket safely.
@@RebelCatLady Oooooh. Now I have to go back and look for it. You are not very good for my pockets, but I thank you! 🤣🤣🤣
Thank you for sharing!
@@FindingJoyintheGarden Grab those little pointed clippers too. I've use them from Dollar Tree for years for my Orchids. 🌺
Plant stakes last several seasons love them
Oh, good to know. Thanks for sharing. ❤️
I have plant labels and used them in my video yesterday. I wasn't sure about those hanging baskets and now I'm going to go back and get some.
I love the hanging baskets. Thanks for sharing about the labels. ❤️
I actually grew Shasta daisies from a pack of seeds from dollar tree and they come back every year
@@ChristopherAustin-vj9uu Me too! My Shasta daisies are from the Dollar Tree. Aren't they so pretty?
I bought the watering can too. However you cannot fill it all the way. When you proceed to water a plant the water spills out the sides. I LOVE Dollar Tree but the watering can was a poor design and huge dissapointment. 💙💚💛🧡💜 Liz
Thanks for letting me know. I'll fill it up halfway and see how it goes. ❤️
I use the small hooks to hang my hummingbird feeders on
I see how that would work! Thanks for sharing. ❤️
can't wait for payday lol
🤣🤣🤣
thank you
You're welcome! Thanks for watching! ❤️
Put one of the garden stakes through the top of the plastic dome so it won’t blow away. Gloves are great for motion quilting. Display garden flags under my trees.
Ooooh, you quilt? How cool. Thank you for sharing how you use these products. So helpful. ❤️
Hanging baskets arrived that way at our store all tangled together
Different supplier perhaps
You saw my struggle, right? It is so different from last year! You may be right, it just may be a different supplier.
I was determined to get mine, though.
Did you have the inner lining in your store? I didn't find any in mine. 😥
Have yall seen the bulb flowers? They use to have them😢
Ps i found a birdbath/ bird feeder from dt!
I didn't see them this time. They were there last year, you are right.
I need a thermometer. Mine got broken. Thank you for showing them...
You’re welcome 😊 Glad it was helpful. ❤️
Went to DT today. No peat pots, no melatonin gummies, no grass bowls for the hanging pots, no tools, no dirt. Ridiculously. No solar nights at all.
Oh, no. Did you ask the employees or manager? It may be that they haven't stocked garden supplies yet. Some are reporting that Dollar Tree locations in their area haven't gotten their garden supplies in yet, so it may be best to call ahead and inquire.
How disappointing it must have been for you.
You can ask what days they get shipments. They usually don't mind letting you know. Also, I think it's different for states than are in the North than in the south because this grow times are different.
The Garden stuff does sell fast. They might be putting more out after Valentine’s Day. 🥰❤️
You are so right findingjoyinthegarden. They may not have put the stuff out just yet. Every area is different. That is for sure according to our weather. 😇💚🥰
Fun shopping with you, but please put things back in their proper place especially seeds, and when you knock stuff on the floor pick it up!
Thank you for coming along with me. ❤️ And rest assured that things were put back in their proper place. I pick up things others have dropped, and put them back so they don't get run over by a cart. I often have to remind myself that I do not work in the store, because I keep trying to fix things. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I am not perfect, but I try.
Thanks for watching. ❤️
What Dollar Tree are these seed packs 4 for 1.25. Went to 3 Dollar Tree stores in my area not available??
This is in Georgia. You may need to call ahead and ask. They may not have stocked garden supplies yet in your area. What state are you in, if I may ask?
@@FindingJoyintheGarden Michigan. They have all the other items just not the seeds 4 for 1.25.
@@feindel84 Did they have any seeds at all? I remember a few years ago I went to a Dollar Tree that had seeds for 99 cents each. Maybe call around to other stores in the area, and see if they have seeds in stock, and what the price is.
@@FindingJoyintheGarden No seeds. I went to 3 Dollar Tree stores in my area. I don't feel like calling around. I have decided to wait a few weeks. Hopefully one of the stores will carry the seeds. I appreciate your concern. I don't have phone numbers, and I am too lazy to look them up.
@@feindel84 I understand! I hope your Dollar Tree stocks seeds soon. They are quite the deal.
I just paid $3.75 for labels
I think there are only 10 in each pack, so you may have gotten a better deal, depending on how many are in your pack. Also, the quality may be different.
Never seeds from Dollar tree . Grow for me Florida
Oh, no! That's not cool!
How long do those wire trash and last in the garden
I have one from 5 or 6 years ago that is still in my garden.
Call ahead. My Dollart Tree was not yet stocked. I rushed there not to miss the deals, and boom -nothing.
Oh, no. That is definitely disappointing. What state are you in?
Can someone tell me if the garden suppiies are in every store. Im in Minnesota.
They should have the garden supplies in most stores, just not year- round. You could call the store and ask if the garden supplies are in before you head out.
Hope that helps. ❤️
I know they are in Indiana this time of year is when it starts coming in so it may be worth your time to just stop in and check. If they don't yet have any in ask the employees when to expect it to begin coming in, a lot of things sell out very quickly.
@@lovelight9164 Thank you for your answer. You are so right, the garden supplies disappear so quickly. It is a head spinner! ❤️
The garden seeds from our store have never come up period
Oh, no! You mean the seeds never germinated? How odd! They may have gotten a bad batch, or something. I have bought seeds from different Dollar Tree stores over the years and had no problems. So sorry you had that experience.
The hole in the bird houses is TOO BIG! you will have cat birds and starlings invading songbird nests!
See, that is why we need your comment! Because I do not know the first thing about bird houses and what size the holes should be. Thanks for sharing that information. ❤️
You should be able to modify the hole. A square piece of wood with the correct size hole applied over the original hole will fix it.
Sounds like a great plan. ❤️
Potting mix at my stoue 5 dollars
Thank you!! ❤️
I couldn't find the price, but I figured it would be 5 dollars, not 3! 🤣🤣
Slide to the left. Rofl. Just a piece of information. You should buy in threes bot pairs.
🤣🤣🤣🤣 You are encouraging me to shop some more. My pocketbook does not thank you, but I like how you think! 😂😂😂😂
