A bright slice of opalized wood -

This afternoon I sliced a few pieces of rough that I mined in the last few days. This nice bright piece of opalized wood appeared out of nowhere in the middle of a piece of rough that showed a few little pieces of opalized wood on the surface.
I’ve been doing this for over twenty years and still don’t have X-ray vision.
