0:18 - interesting to see an ARFF rig there! I'd normally expect those to be solely stationed and operated on airport property 😄 2:10 is a beautiful catch, especially with the sunset in the background! Love it! 3:54 awesome synchronization of the 4 Whelen M6 in the grill! 4:55 beautiful unit! 6:45 those are some cool catches at the interstate, especially with law enforcement! 10:49 cool looking Expedition with an interesting and nicely synchronized lighting! 11:09 is another short but cool catch with that siren and horn usage! What was going on over there! 15:43 Even though I'm usually not a big fan of wild, fast and unsynchronized flash patterns I do have to say that this unit does look awesome at night! That air horn sounds good too! 18:05 looks really nice with the snow 😊 19:43 looks sick with that synchronization of all the Whelen M6 all around the truck! 22:47 I really like the scenery and that truck, looks beautiful! 😊 25:00 interesting flash pattern on the Whelen Freedom lightbar! Somebody got creative when programming this! The rear pattern/ sync of the ambo at 25:35 looks good too! 28:44 some horn action from both at the same time 😅
@@ColoradoFireBuff Yes, I know where it is and I also worked there from time to time. Now it was always my understanding that the airport owned the ground that the station sat on.
Great video!! I’m shocked that they do not have traffic signs that warn drivers that they are in a fire station zone. Or, even signal devices that warn drivers as the fire trucks are exiting the station.
Agreed, there's definitely room for improvements. Saw bits of purple sometimes. South Metro should consider programmable systems like the Whelen Carbide or Core.
Something i pointed out is at the beginning for some odd reason the Airport crash tender in front of the Ford spewed soot out of its exhaust pipe as it pulled out of the fire station
Some states allow blue for Fire & EMS and others don't. Some departments also don't want to use blue even if they could. California only allows blue for law enforcement vehicles, same in UT and NM for example. Meanwhile in NV, AZ and CO they allow blue for all agencies.
PIO 11's a white explorer with gold "PIO" on the rear doors. PIO 13 is the red explorer. The red tahoe is the on-call IDT car that's used by dispatch to get dispatchers to IDT2 the mobile dispatch unit.

Station 35, the ARFF station is on airport property.
@@lindahoff7391 That’s actually not true. Station 35 is on Peoria St and red 1 and red 2 have to drive north to get to the airport

What do you mean you worked there from time to time?
@@limemonster2295 Never default staffed at 35, but worked the occasional OT shift there.
Excellent video. Sounds like several rigs have rumbler sirens, very cool.
Hello everybody at SMFR from my family and myself and hope to work for SMFR. You guys and ladies rock! :)
Best of luck to you

Caught Red 1 & 2??? Very nice.
Awesome compilation bro!
Awesome! I’ve grown up in South Metros district (Formerly Littleton) my whole life! Whose the black Tahoe @6:50?
Nice! I believe it’s ops 1

Most stations do have that, calls opticoms. Thanks!
Almost every intersection had options. The Last quote I saw was $35,000.00 for a large intersection in eastern Pennsylvania.
@@natesiebert2840 Nate, do you know whether the city of Aurora, CO got its name from that province in The Philippines?

Nice Catches! Especially at the beginning
Thank you!
At 517 That was Brent Pickford in tower 34.
Those Medic trucks need some sync, great potential but a purple blob.
17:10 most likely they reuse the boxes to save money but this looks ridiculous😂

Love seeing south metro using spare trucks
Something i pointed out is at the beginning for some odd reason the Airport crash tender in front of the Ford spewed soot out of its exhaust pipe as it pulled out of the fire station
Yeah it does that every time the engine revs up
It’s an Oshkosh truck they’ll do that sometimes
Oh
Nice Compilation Video
Thanks!
do they have any stations with engine AND ladder?
No. They built station 32 to house an engine one day. But they can’t justify dual company houses with the call volume
Does these areas have strobe traffic light pre-emption ??? Are all vehicles including the police vehicles equipped with emitter units ???
Opticoms and I don’t know
Yes. The emitters are no longer visible. you can see a sensor at 20.26.
There’s a safety 11 I thought there was only safety 35 and safety 18
Yes, there are safetys 10, 11, and 12. They oversee training and occasionally respond to calls
Oh ok
Curious about Red and Blues on Engines and Ambo's we have that on ours here in Nevada I came from California and our engines and Ambos ran reds only.
Haha yeah, here they just put red and blues on every truck
Some states allow blue for Fire & EMS and others don't. Some departments also don't want to use blue even if they could. California only allows blue for law enforcement vehicles, same in UT and NM for example. Meanwhile in NV, AZ and CO they allow blue for all agencies.
Sometimes it’s to help the light pattern
I know some states make you have blue on your apparatus, then I think it’s optional if it’s not required
What was that Saftey-11 or like BC-11?
The truck is Safety 11 and the officers on Safety 35 are using 11s truck while they wait for their new one
@@natesiebert2840 what happened the new Safety 35 truck? They had it in 2020
@@centralnewyorkresponses7887 it’s just getting replaced
@@landonpalmer7662 yes, the truck has run as many things over the past 5 years. It’s due for a replacement
At the 12 min mark was that for a possible brush fire?
Everything responding around the 12 minute mark was going to a confirmed wildland urban interface fire at cherry creek state park
