    We love it, greetings from Finland

    I was there! There was an international jury with 25 % of the points, and 75 % of the points came by televote. They were in the last place after jury points. But this show changed everything! 😂🎉

      I wish the televotes would get a higher importance in Eurovision generally. The point system in the past few years just wan’t fun. Everybody’s complaining about political decisions. why not at least turn it around and show the public’s votes first and then add the points from the jury? But because of the criticism…who care’s about the jury these days?😅

    Hahaaaah thank you so much from Finland for the brilliant reaction 😄 It's one of the funniest!
    I know the song and the live show obviously aren't everyone's cup of tea. I for one appreciate the 90's nostalgia of this banger (I'm a 90's kid too, a few years older than you) and the art behind the show, with its references to our national epic, Kalevala 😊

      Haha thank you 🎉😇 this style is literally why I watch Eurovision for almost 20 years now 😄 I loved this one as well. The ESC has it’s categories, where this one falls under the “party category” I guess 🔥 I was very surprised about the symbolism behind it though. I didn’t know about Kalevala

      @@marcee001 Yeah, I think the Kalevala references were for the Finnish audience as this is from the national final 😊 I reeaally love how they found an ingenious way to combine Finnish mythology with the 90's that these guys both love 😄 And I do hope most of the European audience warms up to this in time for Malmö cause this entry is just such a joy (danceable song with a meaningful message and witty staging), and I think it really deserves a place in the grand final ♥️

    In Eurovision being remembered is more important than winning. And I bet this is going to do it for Finland again.

    Thank you for your reaction! You found some ideas behind the song and the staging, but let me explain with more details!
    It’s a fun entry with deeper meaning lyrics:
    Is there something wrong with the way I look?
    Is there something wrong with who I am?
    If I'm not alright, tell me why do I
    Feel so beautiful tonight?
    No rules! It's how I live
    How I find the wind beneath my wings,
    It's how I learn to fly!
    It’s an anthem for being who you are 🌈🎉🎊 And at the same time it’s a birth story based on Kalevala, the Finnish mythology🦅🥚
    I like the message and also how it combines the Finnish mythodology Kalevala where the world is created from the goldeneye’s’ egg.
    In the stage performance the singer Henri represents the bird (see the similarity of the movements the clothing and Kalevala inspired boots) and the Windows95man is born (as all humans) naked. The stage coordinator tries in the middle of the song give the rules to our hero but he throws those in the air. He wants to be free and understand who he is despite what the others want him to be! He is looking for his jeans shorts and finally they descent from the heaven (mythodology) and our guy becomes Windows95man and starts the party with cheerful fireworks!💥
    DJ Windows95man have been dj:ing now 11 years already and he is also a visual artist and using Windows95man outfit (denim shorts and windows95 t-shirt and cap) since over a decade. Henri Piispanen is professional singer and voice actor. Check out TH-cam for his bands “Pasa” and "Kontio Polar". The guys met while doing this project and liked each other’s and decided to participate in ESC.
    Well, that's why people want to send songs to the Eurovision that people like and represent the Finns - a little strange, crazy but funny (the happiest country in the world for 6 years now)! 🎊🎉🤩

      Thank you so much for the insights :) I had no idea about Finish Mythology being involved in this. I am going to read more about Kalevala before going to sleep :)
      The anthem for being who you are is Eurovision itself I think. Have you had the chance to attend one of the finals live? For me it was 2011 and I loved the crowd so much, I am making Eurovision parties for my friends every years (with scorecards etc..)
      Lot of Love 🎉❤️

      @@marcee001 You are welcome!🤗 it’s always happy to give background information and story to understand! I wish I was in Helsinki 2007 but unfortunately not the possibility yet. But let’s hope very soon! Lucky you! 🎊😃 The home parties are great too with friends and games involved while watching the ESC! 🎉

    Thank you for your experience! I love it, the beat the irony, the style of performance! There is a story and more, a message! My opinion; you can find it easy, wonderfully crazy, as it should be. Don`t have to be boring! Let´s move, smile, laugh, dance, have fun,! Love your neighbour as yourself!
    If we want to think about, wonder about nudity, let's start with the way the modern world is going, with representatives of the female gender wearing fantastic outfits, who can't decide how much to wrap something around in order to look naked at the same time. It's so stupid and has been for years, so let them be revealing in their clothes. In any case, the Windows95 man is never naked, but the viewers clearly cling to this, interesting human nature.

    Its still funny to me how the thing he had to change about his outfit was the windows logo xD And not the underwear
    You should react to the netherlands of this year, cultural ICON ngl.
    This is bringing back flashblacks from the good old twitch reactions back in 2021 xD

    A question though: If the person coming out of the egg in just underwear had been a woman, would you have reacted in the same way?

    • @marcee001
      @marcee001  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Sure. The “ironical” act of coming out of an Egg made of jeans, wearing underwear is hardly influenced by gender.

      Why women are always half naked in Eurovision?? But it’s not ok for men?!??

    • @victoria7t
      @victoria7t 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      And that is exactly one of the main messages of that song and performance, is the double standards.

    How hart is just have fun. Finland thats is hard. 95 and Henri think many days are they go to Malmo. They are first Who said we dont win

  • @saturahman7510
    @saturahman7510 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

    It is a parody of 90'-music.

    • @victoria7t
      @victoria7t 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Not really. There are two messages to it. First off it's the way humor in Finland is. But the two messages are the performance is bringing to light the double standard. How women with bikini bottoms are acceptable but put Barely There bikini bottoms on a man and everybody screams about it being wrong. The message and the song is that how another person lives their personal lives shouldn't be anybody else's business except that person's. You don't like it well just make sure you don't live your life that way but just because you don't like it doesn't mean other people aren't allowed to live their lives.
