As a Filipino, I still don't know why they called a flying base jabber a Tickbalang. For those who don't know, a Tikbalang (yes without the C) is a Filipino mythical humanoid creature with the head and hooves of a horse.
Some places in the PHL also have stories about the mythical horseman being bringers of good luck...but as symbols of fertility for some odd reason. Like she be preggo in one go if you catch my drift. IIRC that's from Luzon (the first major island of the Philippines) in the southern parts. Then again, they also bring good bounty for harvests.
@@VincentHarold yeah thats not a custom im talking about modifying and scratch building custom armor i started out building traditional models over 30 years ago i like gunpla models but they ate very simplistic and are the equivalent in difficulty to traditional models designed for 8 year olds so i like to heavily modify them before painting them
The Tikbalang (/ˈtikbaˌlaŋ/) (also Tigbalang, Tigbalan, Tikbalan, Tigbolan, or Werehorse) is a creature of Philippine folklore said to lurk in the mountains and rainforests of the Philippines. It is a tall, bony humanoid creature with the head and hooves of a horse and disproportionately long limbs, to the point that its knees reach above its head when it squats down.[1] In some versions, it is a transformation of an aborted fetus sent to earth from limbo.[2]
I just hope we get more variants of this Mobile Suit so people that love Armored Core can customize this being the closest version of an AC gunpla in a long time.
"Which one should you go for?" Me: Both... After all... there is that Hybrid of Zowort and Jegan we saw on season 2, which is probably coming soon... right?
Funny how they named a mobile carrier after a reverse centaur of Philippine mythology Edit: Also would love to get a Zowort that is painted in military grey to be more Armored Core like
I presume a Tickbalang is faster, even while carrying a mobile suit. Even then, doing so saves on fuel consumption, something that should be considered for weaker, mass produced units.
From what I've noticed, mass produced MS have a hard time maintaining sustained flight over long distances. Having a separate unit to allow massively improved air time would benefit MS heavily, especially MS whose objective is to patrol a large area- yet be able to jump into the fray on the drop of a dime.
In my school vr game the zewort it is the grunt units and minions of dreadiona 2 and the tikbalong is used for them and the most memorable bit is when Goalius grand theft auto one and entered the beacon arena via that and the fact the beacon arena is airborne and for the zewort one of the beacon arena units tried to attack a smoky hologram of salam from RWBY (her neopultia with possession and the beacon arena are from RWBY) but failed completely and heck 1 spoiled Goalius kaijun trait sense Goalius can fire Godzilla atomic breath and in the game the question of what happens when a nano laminated armoured mobile suit is hit by genesis? the answer is turning into a moltan slag statue of the mobile suit itself
Still can't get over the fact that they called a flat mobile carrier after a mythical figure with horse head and feet, but otherwise humanoid body.
seems like "Tickbalang" is a better descriptor of the Zowort
The Zowort is absolutely an Armored Core. It's even got an Overboost with that vent on the back!
Same artist after all, one of them at least
YES!!!! i need one.
Sweet! An arrmored core and a base jabber commercial airliner.

You wouldn’t believe how h0rny these things are they KIDNAP WOMEN just to do it

I was intrigued too as to why the Tikbalang which is normally associated to a macho horseman suddenly is a base jabber here lol
Tikbalang being a human-horse hybrid mythical creature makes it a "steed" for mobile suits. It's kinda a stretch but there's a connection.
I can see why
The Zowort looks like an odd mix of an Armored Core and a Halo Spartan suit...it's pistol even looks like a plasma weapon there
...yeah, i can see that.
AND I F$#@ING LOVE IT!!!!
looks like a perfect kit to customize would be cool to see an up armored version by bulking out the limbs
There is, and it's called Zowort Heavy. Even better, it's an official release!

"That`s a fucking armored core!" was literally my first thought when I first seen this thing.

Kakarot. Can you have these 2 kits as a screen whenever technical difficulties happen??
Like that one Gundam Mk. II picture
Where’s the petition to sign
At least the Heavy isn't a P Bandai exclusive, but then I'm sure some version of it will be eventually.
I always love base jabber-equivalents, and this is no exception.
The ghost of Rayleonard.
I could easily see this being converted into my Last Raven AC with some minor scratch building/kitbashing and modification
already bought this bad boy and my two Zowort Heavys are on the way
I guess the Zowort is as close as to have Bandai making Armored Core kits, lol.
Why choose between the standard Zowort and the Heavy when you can just get both?
Its so weird that the gun is a beam gun when, the magazine has a shaped physical round inside
Wouldn't be the first time live rounds had goofy colors in the franchise. The jegan d-type's vulcan fire in gundam unicorn was blue.
And for policing actions on earth, it needs gas or HEF shells.
The Zowort? I need it.... I NEED IT!!!
Flying Circus? (Red Baron by Sabaton starts playing)
Thank you Gundam/Gunpla for including Philippine Mythos name to canon. Dont mind toxic comments. Great build, thanks so much!
Can't say I liked WfM overall, but the MS designs are impeccable. This thing in particular deserves to be that universe's Zaku equivalent.
The Zowart Heavy is the closest we get to an Armored core. That and duel Gundam Assault shroud
Can't wait for the other Zowort companion units such as the "Manananggal" "Tiyanakz" "Kappre" and the "White Lady" XD
Still trying to figure out how to kitbash the Tickbalang with Fuunsaiki
could you please do a development History on Vagen mobile suits
Looks like the love child of a Leo and a Flag
Age ost there - hit in the guts
Man, I don't even remember the Zowort of the Tick in the anime.
looks like an armored core next
Gives off steal haze vibes
I'm curious how hard the tick cannons will hit in the anime.
Zowort can have its own anime..as the mc suit..
Is it sad I would take the bas jabber and turn it into a back pack for the Zowort?
"Which one should you go for?"

Did I miss the Pente review?
Just ordered 2 Zoworts 😁
So you also recommend the tickbalang?
Its kind of like a wfm jegan
Woah early! Also damn once i can find this kit ill get it immediately its looks so cool.
I really want so many GWitch kits to come out in 1:100 😭😭😭
Correct me if I'm wrong but can't the Zowort fly by itself making it kinda pointless for it to ride a Tickbalang?

Karkoht can you make ace combat 7 lore on mihay shilage

Next review would be zowort heavy 😂
Ywa na tikbalang yan hahahahah😂
The Tikbalang (Tik- Bah- Lung) doesn't look like a horse head MS. Funny, they named it to a flying platform. But that's just me... 😂
It's so cringy to say Tickbalang hahahaha😂
