I’ve been listening to Lala’s podcast lately and your analysis makes a lot of sense. When it comes to sex, she freely admits she talks a big game, but isn’t that motivated by it in practice. She was known for talking about BJs a lot over the years, but recently said she’s actually only blown 4 or 5 guys in her life. I think she likes to be provocative, especially on camera, and sex talk is an easy way to do that. She also admits that she was much more sexually active when her alcoholism was at its worst; she’s now 4 1/2 years sober. Keep the analyses coming! Loving the content ❤

A background check on Randal would have saved her a lot of heartache. Hollywood attracts some weird types. If she was living in Utah it probably wouldn’t be as necessary.
This was honestly fascinating. Hearing that Lala, Scheana and Stassi are all 2’s makes me wonder if that’s why they all clash so much (especially in earlier seasons). I feel like their subtypes would have to be constantly pushing up against one another. I would have been surprised by her primary instinct before this season. But her need for safety and security above everything seems really pronounced post Randall. Edited because autocorrect did me dirty 🤣
yes especially scheana and stassi !!! they are very similar but they say that you’re more likely to disagree with someone who is SLIGHTLY different than you, moreso than someone who is completely different.
I rewatched the early seasons recently (didn’t we all?), and I kept noticing that Stassi and Scheana both kept score of transgressions. You didn’t call me! But you didn’t text me! Well you didn’t come to my birthday But you didn’t invite me to brunch Because you said “this” about me to Katie Because you that “that” about me to Jax And around and around they went! Which as 2s they both seem to be primed to do. It got very frustrating
I dont particularly like lala on the show, because of her quality of always wanting something in return. Its like you cant do anything on your own can you? Those types of people bother me specifically. To me those people social climb to get what they want. Ive had people like that around and I'm super suspicious of people like that.
Surprising! Since type 2 used to be called "The Helper" I always thought of it as the kindly old woman who bakes you cookies in the hopes that you'll keep her company. I never saw them as more openly combative or protective. But "Strategic Supporter" makes it a lot clearer. I'm not surprised that she's self preservation, because she always seemed more interested in the material security that Randall could bring versus the sex or connection. No judgement, just an observation. Who wouldn't want a private jet?
Type 2 is pretty misunderstood and a lot of 9 got put into 2 that isn’t actually true. Instagram Enneagram content/memes have really simplified type 2 too much!! also part of that is that 2s VIEW themselves as helpful, but it isn’t always received that way!!
Remember when she used to suck on a baby bottle ? I found that to be quite telling of some kind of abuse in her life , that and the older man she chose, Randal was a predator too?
I wonder too! Its very hard to see your own type, its one of the reasons that traditionally, you don't self-type in the Enneagram world, and you would get typed by a teacher.
I don’t think she’d agree because it’s definitely exposing her vulnerability. But I do think it’s accurate. She’s for certain a self preservative type regardless of her enneagram numerical assessment.
Also LaLa is a very angry aggressive person and goes after hard for what she wants , not saying that’s bad but she definitely shows signs of trauma in her life at a young age? Just my opinion!
