Never really been to the grand junction before but it seems really fun to go to. You probably have to have lots of luck when it comes to timing because schedules are random like that I think
Sometimes it is pure pure luck, like that last train in the video when i was getting lunch. However, almost always, I either get a heads up from a source, or usually, I am doing homework + listening to my scanner and I hear them somewhere
Probably. I would be supprised if they completly cut service there because the north side work extra uses the runaround track to store cars. It would definitely be used way way less
Great video! Im thinking about going out to see the switcher some time. Are there any days that the Switcher usually runs? if so is timing fairly regular or random?
Thanks! Its a fun train for sure. It only runs during the day on sundays. If they need to go north to BET, they usually get to the grand junction anywhere from 12-4, and return depending on when they arrive at BET. Their only at BET for usually about 15-30 minutes. Let me know if you have any other questions!
@@BostonByRails Thanks for all this great info! i hope to head over there in the coming weeks before it gets too unpleasant to be waiting around outside. Keep up the great work!
Great video, but your voice and narration is not with it. May I suggest you find someone with a better voice or don't do a talk over at all, use titles. Sometimes it's better than anyone's voice.

Sometimes, but usually you have news of what's coming. Especially for the switcha which is usually every sunday afternoon.

I wish we can add another rail lines for amtrak and commuter line conntector for the south and north station or farther west as a alternative.
Nice!
Yay
If the north south rail link was built, would you say it would make the grand junction obsolete
Probably. I would be supprised if they completly cut service there because the north side work extra uses the runaround track to store cars. It would definitely be used way way less
