Can you recommend any famous Taiwanese seafood dishes? (Maybe with crab & shrimp) that could be cooked at home in U.S.A.? Trying to make a dish for Taiwanese friends birthday
oooo for famous Taiwanese seafood dishes, you can't go wrong with the amazing oyster omelette. You can also try making oyster misua which is really simple to make. But as for with crab or shrimp um theres many dishes but they aren't really famous for that. Maybe some sort of soup or fried rice?
Just fyi... the oyster seafood noodle soup... the first dish you tried... you don't eat it with chopsticks... it's all about the spoon for this dish... even for the seafood pieces in the soup...

haha ya the prices here in Taiwan are still pretty low compared to many other places. They did rise a bit, but still low compared to the rest.
