If bibliography and referencing is something that you are finding difficult, try Zotero. I don't know if you are allowed to use it, but its an extension that you can attach to your browser and when you download research papers, you can download them on Zotero. It will make the citation in the format you want and directly paste it on your word document. :) Hopefully this helps and makes things easier!

Wow I never thought of colour coding! I'm preparing my final project for my last year of uni as well right now and I'm definitely gonna use it from now on!
to help with endnote in the future: if you're working on pubmed, just go to your favourites or any collection you've made, select all the items you want to import and then on the top right there should be an option to 'send to'. then choose citation manager. It will ask you to log into your endnote account and it will improt it to them, then just use the word-addon to search for your citations (maybe have to log in there as well) and you can add them all that way. Hope this is helpfull (:

It’s taken me almost all semester to get my head around endnote. Most of the time it does the references correctly but I have had a few that were slightly wrong so I always check them against the guide on cite them right before I submit my work.
So happy for you that your interview is done :) Hopefully you'll get in, fingers crossed! Do you perhaps know where your friend got the socks from? I really like them!
Please use Latex and not Word for your dissertation. Just. Please start early. :) This is an amazing tool to pull the thesis together in the end!!! For example, I've just changed order of 2 chapters in my PhD thesis and it automatically re-numbered all my figures AND changed references to figures in text!! It works with EndNote too! And you don't have to worry that a figure and figure caption will be on different pages... it will export a pdf that looks pretty and professional in the end. AND you can download a latex template for all major universities.. so it will automatically follow rules about margins and font size and all that annoying stuff. AND it supports formulas! AND nice tables!! (I'm in love if you can tell...) This is a life saver for large academic text writing! It takes a minute to get used to, so you can't really go and use at last moment, but I think now is the perfect time for you to switch!
Have you tried importing references from a file ? I'm using Web of Science as a source / download BiBtex file /on Endnote I use Collect-Import References / Upload file. Not sure if it will work for your database though!
@@HollyGabrielle the Latex system itself is free, and there're lots of apps for mac (both free and paid). I chose one that supports both imac and ipad. But if you're not looking for that - they all will do the same job in the end, because the code inside is the same.

endnote is the worst! I'm doing my PhD and have had it crash twice losing all my articles. Make sure you keep a backup copy somewhere.

Can you explain the process of applying to Med School in the UK? It sounds extremely different from the process in the US
