Unfortunately, your integration is poor. Rank Math surely outshines here. It allows you to manually configure videos that can't be auto- detected by default.
Hi Daniel, thank you for the feedback. Should you encounter issues with using the Yoast Video SEO plugin, we're here to help! Our inbox at support@yoast.com is always open.
Hi Daniel! There used to be an option to exclude videos, but with the recent updates from Google, we understand that excluding a video from specific posts didn't prevent Google from indexing the excluded video; thus, there was no benefit of having the option to exclude videos. That's why we removed that option from the plugin. I hope that clears things out for you.
@@yoast I think you have missed the point. I don't want to exclude videos but to manually add videos on Yoast Video SEO that it can't auto-detect on the post/page. This is where RANK MATH beats you. It has a provision to manually add video seo for videos it can't auto-detect on a web page. How hard is it to understand my query? 😭😭😭
This plugin makes no sense if it can't detect videos embeded by third party plugins. What's even worse is you don't provide a way to enter the videos it can't detect manually. It's a total waste of money.
Hey, Essau! You can add custom fields to the Video SEO plugin settings so the plugin can find your video. Please refer here: yoast.com/help/add-custom-fields-to-video-seo/
@@yoast I have checked documentation and used your custom fields detector plugin to look for the custom fields, but it can't detect the custom fields added by other video plugins. Useless!!!
I love your explanation. Very clear
Thanks! We're glad to hear you found the video helpful!

@@yoast Just include a way to manually add videos that can't be auto detected. Why can't your devs figure this out?

Based on my Yoast Video Plugin, this video is seriously out of date.

@@yoast That doesn't explain much. How it works, how to use it, when to use it.
