All these tutorials are great but best of all is your delivery. All too often photoshop tutorial videos have a condescending tone or just treat you like an absolute beginner but there's none of that with your channel it's very refreshing!
Right on Kyle, that's really cool to hear. I try to keep the mindset that whether it's 100 people or 100k actually doesn't make that much difference to me if people are finding the channel useful! But I appreciate that!
That's an awesome compliment, thanks! It's pretty crazy how much you use the same kinds of effects over and over again after working in design for 20 years or so... you slowly invent or stumble on faster and more direct ways to do things. I also really like the challenge of it, so sometimes I'll definitely sit in front of photoshop for 2 days trying to figure out a new way to do a specific thing... Cheers!
@@Texturelabs That's an excellent way of doing it. I've discovered some absolutely knockout effects just by fiddling around with blend modes, layer styles and blendifs, even before I got to the filters. Photoshop is the type of program that, if you understand its tools, really rewards experimentation!
I love watching your tutorials, not because I need that specific effect for something, but just because I broadens my horizon of what you can do with photoshop in ways that I just wouldn't have thought of myself thanks for posting these, keep it up
When deep technical knowledge of Photoshop blends well with superb artistic aesthetics ... ... Brady created this MAGIC! Stay blessed Young Maestro!! 💖
I made hundreds of photoshop effects but I am learning SO MUCH from your tutorials!!!! Great work! Never found a channel for photoshop like this. Amazing that you still only have just 6313 views on this one!!!
out of curiosity, how'd you get to such a crazy photoshop-guru level? just hours and hours of experimentation?? your tutorials are absolutely nuts! OK GOOD
I have just followed your tutorial for a presentation I am working on and although I had more text in the image it all worked perfectly with some minor adjustments, and I love that the text is still live. many thanks

So glad I've stumbled on to your channel. Just amazing tutorials all around. I've been using PS for years and all the techniques you're sharing blow my mind. Thank you!
I think your version of the "PAN" title was so eye-catching and much better than what they used. Disney is making "Hocus Pocus 2" for a fall 2022 release and this magic smoke effect would be perfect for the movie title. I agree with what someone here said that you are a scientist. I'd say you are a Photoshop Alchemist!
Really appreciate that! Ya, it's kind of a grind getting more exposure on the channel - I think youtube is tuned for things more viral than photoshop tutorials these days, ha. In it for the long haul though...so thanks for the kind words!
@@Texturelabs Not sure how long your channel has been up and running but with the quality of your content, you'll blow up soon enough. Definitely one of the best channels in this domain. Thanks for taking the time to share your knowledge. Looking forward to further content.
Because this is all non-destructive you could easily create an animated version of this by replicating everything in After Effects and using a video of smoke instead of the photo. Super cool effect!
@texturelabs If you really want to make this pop even more when you've made a flattened image. Convert the image to a smart object and apply a Gaussian Blur at about 14 and select Soft Light. It'll give a really strong contrast glow, you can combat that with selecting 'Camera Raw Filter' and using these settings: Contrast -100 Hi-lights -40 Shadows +59 Whites -27 Blacks +71 Vibrance +30 Texture +20 Contrast +100 DeHaze +30 Sharpening 90 Noise Reduction 36 Color Noise Reduction 70 Click Ok Take that Gaussian blur that you applied and drag it above the Camera Raw Filter and that'll soften the harshness. This process will give you a super rich HDR look. Great Video!!
Awesome tutorial! Mine doesn't look as great as yours but the smoke and colors did give me another idea for my gaming community logo's, so thank you! I love that you are very explanatory and slow enough for someone to follow along without having to pause the video 400 times aha.
Your work is such an inspiration. It gets me excited about Photoshop and its possibilities of over and over again. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge and years of work and experience.
Brady, you are amazing :) Love these techniques ... I can't imagine how much experimenting it must have taken, but thank you for sharing these techniques :)
I stumbled across your videos from bens ink after effects tutorial based on your ps techniques and WOW this was a cool tutorial impressive job!!! Just Subbed
Hi Grady: I was revisiting some of your back tutorials and, damn, you do good work. The techniques are great, and your presentation is very conducive to learning.
"Watched" to "Liked" ratio in these tutorials are consistently 10:1, which is insanely high. Every 10th person watching these videos clicks the like button. Also, "Liked" to "Disliked" ratio here is 2.4K to 1 - my best guess is, someone had a mouse slip and didn't notice, because this is the only theory that makes any sense.
LOOVE your tutorials and have been using them in so many projects. I'm working on a new project where I need to show text affected by the elements. I already know how to do burnt and your previous tutorial was a great example of how to show it wet. I was wondering if you had any suggestions about how to show paper and font muddied up or affected by soil or some sort of earth element. Thank you.
Hey Andres that's awesome, glad you've been able to use the tutorials! Just took a look through my random ideas folder - nothing that would fit the bill for muddy or dirty... I do have a pretty nice setup for type encased in ice. if you email me (address is in the About section on the channel page), I can send you the psd, might be worth messing around with...
I want to try and recreate this effect in After effects with an animated smoke. The only effect I'm not sure how to replicate is the Stroke>Gradient>Shapeburst effect. Need to figure that out, great tutorial though.
1:15 how did you scale that whole image down in proportion while not resizing from the corner?? I can do this in indesign but didnt think it was possible in photoshop.

there is unimaginable amount of work which has gone into 12 min tutorial, wow teacher, thanks, I was just blown away by your dedication.
