@@kreek22 ...here in the state of Nebraska, Medicare does not pay for dementia care and neither does Medicaid. My sister is a dementia patient in a care facility... and she will run out of money in one year from now. The average cost is around 7-10 thousand a month!!!!! She has been there 15 months....we are having a hard time finding a place for her now because she needs more care. No one wants to take her unless she has at least 2 years private pay... We did not know this when we placed her where she is now. Very few facilities take Medicaid. ):

I’d love to hear about all these “years of unsafe ingredients in untold amounts of vaccines” you’ve gotten as a child. The “cause” of Alzheimer’s is UNKNOWN. That doesn’t mean that things like lifestyle can’t increase the risk. You need a long vacation to the mountains. Get off of your devices and better yourself and your mind. Good luck.

They already took a chance. It's called a clinical trial. It failed. The drug was approved because of flagrant corruption. This will probably be the most profitable drug in human history--and will probably cure no one.
This money ought to be spent trying to develop drugs that actually work instead of lining the pockets of America's corrupt and evil ruling class (which includes the corrupt and evil media).

Great news if it works! But what about also mentioning DNA testing for APO E 4 gene (ancestry dan tests cover this.) . They've made literal 10-figure fortunes for their respective manufacturers. This one doesn't have the efficacy and safety from the clinical trials though. As you said, it failed the clinical trial. What the FDA did was a travesty. It just licensed snake oil and a lot of trusting people are going to take it and get nothing but broke for it - and that's the best case scenario.

Medicare has approved it for payment. it's just criminal to have to pay that price for a drug that has really not proven to be all that great. Medicare can't negotiate prices so what ever the rate is, that's what they pay and that's a reason the the Medicare premiums and deductibles are up and lord knows what the monthly premiums for supplemental policies will be raised. Our system is appalling, but we already know that but does it ever really change? Nope.

To watch someone slip away each day... further and further. I hope these drugs continue to be studied and released. There is little you can do to assuage fear, hopelessness, depression and anxiety in AD patients other than drug them into unconsciousness. That only makes the whole ordeal even worse. Cherish those few moments of clarity you get.

If I were in Joe’s early Alzheimer’s situation, I would immediately start the lowest Carbohydrate Ketogenic Diet With Intermittent Fasting that I could muster, and consider supplementing with a quality MCT Oil and/or exogenous Ketones, such as Beta Hydroxybutyrate. Eliminate all Snacking and drastically limit Sugar in your Diet, as well as Sugary Drinks (including Fruit Juice, and Alcoholic Drinks.
I would work on extending my Fasting periods until I felt comfortable on Prolonged Fasts of several days. This would stimulate Autophagy, the Body’s Recycling and Trash Removal Process, to remove the Amyloid Plaque in the Brain. I would focus on getting a Good Night’s Sleep, since Deep Sleep is the time when waste products are removed from the Brain. Stress Management through Exercise and Meditation would also be helpful.

      [CONTINUED FROM ORIGINAL POST]
Recent research has termed Alzheimer’s as “Diabetes 3.0”. By becoming Fat-Adapted with a Ketogenic Diet, the Glucose-Starved Brain can switch to Ketones derived from Fat as an alternative energy source and hopefully improve Brain functionality. If you are injecting Insulin or taking Diabetes Meds, it is CRITICAL to have your Doctor monitor your progress. The Ketogenic Diet and Fasting will drastically reduce your need for these Pharmaceuticals, eventually eliminating them.

The test for Alzheimers disease is very subjective, as there is NO ONE SINGLE TEST FOR THAT DISEASE. Doctors must consider a full medical workup & testing both physical and mental, meaning intellectual capacity and memory functionality If his doctors found an actual malady in his brain from an MRI then that may be a decisive factor in their determinations that he does actually have the disease.

DON’T WAIT!! 🙀 Alzheimer’s takes DECADES to develop. Recent research has show it to be a Metabolic Disease resulting from too much Glucose and resulting Insulin in the Blood. This results from a Lifestyle of consuming a Diet TOO RICH in Carbohydrates (mainly Sugar) for TOO FREQUENTLY during the Day. The Neurons in the Brain eventually become Resistant to the Insulin that allows the Glucose to cross the Cell Membrane and provide energy for the Neurons,, eventually starving them of energy. The High Glucose and Insulin in the Blood causes Oxidative Stress, leading to Inflammation of the Brain and the formation of Amyloid Plaques.
A Healthy Low Carbohydrate Ketogenic Diet with Intermittent Fasting (and occasional Multi-Day Prolonged Fasts) is the best way to manage Blood Sugar and Insulin. It provides an alternative energy resource - Ketones produced from Fat.. Ketones not only PREVENT Alzheimer’s, but also Prevent and Reverse most Chronic Diseases. In fact, it is our DEVIATION from this Ancestral Dietary Lifestyle that is responsible for the accelerating Epidemics of Chronic Disease worldwide that we observe today .
See ‘Dr. Robert Lustig - What is Metabolic Syndrome Anyway?” to start your research into better health! 👍

If the drug company played their cards rights they could administer it as a experimental drug... and therefore, cut off/minimalize the cost for the sake of a public experiment...

"How can you say definitively that it doesn't work any more than the FDA could say definitively that it does?"
    Exactly.
Meanwhile, here’s something that does work: Use it severely - or lose it - body and mind. Rest is for the grave.

It's true that you should try and exercise your mind and body. But my Grandma was the most active person I know- continuing education her whole life, gardening every day, and being an avid reader- and she still got early onset Alzheimer's. We don't have as much control and we'd like to think.

I began skipping lunches (always skipped breakfast) when I began teaching university classes at 1 pm. It was extremely hard to give a good lecture after a lunch. I have always eaten a keto kind of diet. Unfortunately it isn’t a cure all. I still developed normal middle age afflictions, but I feel better on fewer calories and skipping meals.

This guy doesn't seem like someone with Alzheimer's. How could the doctors give him such a devastating diagnosis when he is so obviously clear and lucid? Don't you have to be pretty mentally disabled to have early onset Alzheimer's? Maybe he was misdiagnosed. My dad was misdiagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease when he had just had a small stroke which they later found.
