    Torque is a huge factor in who wins from stop light to stop light. People forget that and are quick to spit HP numbers. I'm glad u pointed this out.

      @@KaylaRundle Horsepower will outrun torque every time. If you had equal engines. Let's say 2.. 427 ci engines. One has 400 horsepower and 410 for pounds of torque.
      The other 427 has 420 hp and 450 foot pounds of torque. The 420 hp. car will go through the quarter mile faster. Btw. your engine sounds killer.😗 👌 👍T
      Torque is for pulling heavy loads.

    Stay na, less problems, less engine bay heat and less components to fail. It comes down to what's the goal of the car and how deep are your pockets.
    You talked about engine temps are you running a quality 3 row aluminum radiator? You can go with a thicker oil, especially in that kind of heat, jmo.
    Do what you want Kayla, you don't need 1000 hp to have fun.

    • @KaylaRundle
      @KaylaRundle  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It all comes down to how deep are your pockets! But also I don't need 1,200whp for Road Course (since that is my goal). I went with thicker oil but I might have to make it higher in the summer months. I have a stock radiator but my coolant temps were doing just fine. Next step is an upgraded oil cooler. Thanks for the help!

    I have a Camaro SS with a 441dart iron with 88mm precision turbo yes the turbo does have to spool for full power but in the meantime you still have the engine power you put down naturally naturally aspirated it's not like you're relying only on boost. Boost is going to give you more power on top of the naturally aspirated power you put down. my oil temps don't go above 226 engine temps don't go above 209 beating on it. The car put down 1,124 WHP love your car very nice build not hating at all I watch your channel all the time I love it just giving you some info on boost that's all.

    Been debating on supercharging my 96 Z-28 camaro but it's a smaller market being the car is an older setup debated on a stage 3 comp cam with all the head goodies. On a road course, there could be times where you need to pull out of slow corners. Having extra torque in the RPMs in these corners is helpful. Less weight and less heat management with N/A is helpful. Coated headers reduce engine heat. I like the plastic intakes to reduce heat soak. What were your peak oil temps on the road course? Try to keep them under 250. Try to keep coolant temps under 230. Keep your intake air temps close to ambient, filter not picking up engine bay heat. I prefer AP Racing to Wilwood for better pad variety, and Penske shocks. And I hate when I'm usine phone Nav and it overheats from the sun!

      I completely agree. That is why I specifically wanted to stay NA. I do not have coated Header's but I might have to look into that, or possibly wrap them. My oil temps were almost at 300 (It was not good). Coolant is working great tho.. always staying cold!

Now it if was a diesel I wouldn't think twice about a turbo or even two because a diesel is a different animal. The way the camera shakes because of the cam is hilarious! Great video and valid points too. I've always thought it's far more poetic to have an N/A monster, and frankly I've never been so concerned for numbers. Not to mention boosted cars (I'm guessing most people want you to do TT) really shine at speeds that are just too much for me 130+. And at that point, the camaros have their aerodynamic issues xD I'd love to see an updated POV drive of your car!

You build a motor, to operate in certain conditions, such as street driving, or for the track. I have followed your build, from way back. You young lady, did your homework, and it's paying off. Don't let anyone tell you different. Love your car, love the 416, and your videos, and you too! So enjoy that Camaro, and keep those videos coming.

    You can have a supercharger setup that will mimic the same power and torque curve as an N/A setup. Depends on the blower, cam, tune obviously. I'm willing to bet if we compared curves, they would look similar. There has been a lot of progress with blower cars thanks to interchillers, but it's just adding more and more weight. I will say though, I do want a nice NA setup in another car though. That would be fun to have both. C6 Z06?? Mayyyyybbbeeeee

      This is absolutely true, if you have DEEP pockets. I am referencing most turbo builds that have everything else stock with a slapped on turbo. It just causes a TON of problems and is not necessary for my usage of the car. Plus I am jealous you are sitting at Sea Level.. your car must love you! I will also say, I want a nice Boosted set-up one day. NA vs Boost? You better watch out!

    You know just enough to get yourself in “trouble” . Overall Miss information. Entertaining video and glad you’re having fun and supporting not only manuals but cars in general!..NA cars do not make more Torque than boosted by any stretch. They might make it quicker/sooner in the rpm range but not more APPLES/APPLES. Go watch any boostd dyno vid..their torque number is gonna be insane compared to same engine NA. The reason boosted cars are so fun to ride in like you say is because of that torque that’s kicking in that you can feel. The idea of NA having instantaneous power is also false, look at your dyno sheet at 3,000 versus 6,500rpm..your still waiting for them ponies to kick in. When driven/raced correctly..Shouldnt be any lag in boosted cars WHEN kept in the power band. Which is why they dominate at the track. And finally you actually gain drive ability with boosted cars while making more power… cam is helping you make that power on na car and the bigger you go the worse the drive ability and stroking a LS/LT engine to get that extra torque kills longevity and dependability because the pistons actually come out the piston hole and get jammed back in on the way down. People do NA builds because they arnt chasing big numbers and they are cheap. Mainly cause it’s cheaper. You have an awesome car. Nothing but RESPECT for building it. My hat is off to you. But people need to have correct information.
