Before you buy one, read the instructions,it tells you , IT IS NOT TO BE USED WITH GEL LEAD ACID BATTERIES.just some info as I bought one but cant use it on my motocycle as it has a gel battery.
Read the small print. It definitely says not to use on gel batteries.I am only repeating what the instrutions say. NOTICE.TO PREVENY BATTERY DAMAGE Do not use on gel- lead acid type batteries, that is printed on page 5
gel batteries are supposed to'peak' at 14.4v many chargers go over that, hence are to be avoided. any float mode should be around 13.6v (temperature compensation is great but not essential). most auto chargers go up to around15v, and aremeant for regular lead acid. i think it should be monitored with a multimeter whilst you assess what it does
+Jack Johnson it has worked awesome. I leave the ATV plugged into it 24/7 so that in know the battery is fully charged and I'm ready to go riding. Thanks for watching.
+HomeOwnerRepair Thanks for the response ole chap. Glad to hear the unit is running and performing over the long term. I've been up and down the net trying to find a supplier who ships these devices abroad - but without any luck. This is frustrating to the power of 10!
Do yaself a favor if ya ever buy one ? Go ahead an purchase the clamp/clip on style connectors . You won't have to remove battery terminals and mount your hardware to said battery . You'll use tender / maintainer on any battery you choose too.
This is the big boy version offered, the cheaper little one seems to put out too much voltage, 14 or so. Did you ever test the voltage on this one to see if it's at 13.3 or does it also pump out too much. Kinda important for a battery maintainer to operate in a narrow voltage window, if not it's more of a trickle charger if it won't behave.
Tell your mom to take it back then if your mom's buying you and taking stuff back then what do you need it for why would you post something that you could take it back and get your money back or get a new one no one cares about your negativity post

So this charger won’t charge my car battery.
I really appreciate the fact that you took your time and explained a lot better and faster better than reading the manual. Thanks a lot.
You are welcome. Thanks for watching this video.

@@albion2742 works just fine on my JetSki with a motorcycle battery!
Was the Cen-Tech used frequently during the past year and how did it perform?
Did the ' float ' charge mode work as anticipated?
Regards.
