Bhakti and gyan must be one. Devotion without understanding is simply blind. Equally, understanding not accompanied by devotion is too dry and egoistic.

Our inner fear we give the form of an external God and start worshiping it.

When you are attentive that is godliness and that's when you don't need to think of God.

Vedant does not preach, Vedant asks and the fundamental question Vedant asks is not about God, it is about who you are. And your own essence is the Truth.

Yeah, now Acharya ji is in complete form , talkin' about the root problems.... Because God is anyway not the problem for liberation, but our fear is... When he talks about truth as our essence it is the same as mind's essence in zen ...

    What is Truth?
That which is never changes, that which is not a product of our imagination, that which has neither been created, nor can be destroyed in the stream of time. One has to has love for the Truth.

🔆The god that people commonly worship is fear.
🔆Ironically, when you are attentive, that is godliness and that's when you don't need to think of god.
🔆The god that we worship usually is just another name for fear and desire and that's the reason most people never really come to the truth.
🔆All the suffering in life is because you have experienced so many things that were never real.
🔆Just because you experience something, that does not make that thing real.
🔆One has to have love for the truth. Truth loving, not god fearing. And if god can be another name for truth then wonderful.
🔆Vedanta is for mature people. Vedanta is for intelligent people. Vedanta says, we want to investigate to the truth. We want to ask, we want to discuss.
🔆Vedanta does not preach. Vedanta asks and the fundamental question vedanta asks is not about god, it is about who you are. Your own essence is the truth.
🔆Belief has no place in real spirituality or Vedanta. No question of believing. Spirituality is as rigorous as science and maths. Do you believe in science or do you test things out? Do you believe in maths or do you ask for proofs?
🔆A believer is not a religious person at all. A religious person is an inquisitive one. A religious person is the one who asks questions.
🔆A devotee is not someone who starts off with Bhagwan. A devotee is someone who first of all knows how badly placed he or she is.
🔆As much as I dislike all the weaknesses that have penetrated me, I am equally in love with greatness, and that is called worship.
🔆Devotion without understanding is simply blind, does not help. Equally, understanding not accompanied by devotion is too dry and egoistic. It will not take you far. These two have to go together.

When you do not know who you are then object you have chosen is obviously misplaced.
Bhakti and Gyan must go together.

Hey brother I have a doubt regarding this as you said that understanding without devotion will only boost ego (अहम) but my question is whom tho devote to? How can I devote to God if I don't know what he is and if I try to devote to aatma I might mistook aatma for ego and it'll boost the ego as well? Shall I devote myself to the path the question arises how to do that? I hope this doubt of mine could be cleared

    Aastik means unyielding inquisitiveness.
Nastik means who believes in fairy tales.
Real spirituality is more rigorous than science.Because science asks for proof in only perceptible world where as spirituality asks for proof in on perceptible (inner world).
