It's likely the cab you refer to was one of our older series. The latest C-Series cab was especially designed to achieve the highest operator comfort on the market and features modern controls, like the adjustable and easy to read color LCD monitor which offers real time information of machine functions and important diagnostic information.

Been on and off of excavators a few years now. But just recently got a Volvo, love it, please to operate
Volvo offers exceptional digging capability in more difficult to dig materials like heavy clays and rock. A durable engine with high fuel efficiency is another main characteristic. If you compare Volvo to competitors youll see our other advantages like underside belly plates with bolt-protection, thick superstructure belly plates with bolt-protection and hinges on larger models, durable compartment doors. Generally quality materials are utilized throughout and result in long-term durability.
They are both the same thing and refer to the point of contact between the tyres or tracks and the ground and the co-efficiency of traction which is dependant upon the type of material and grade (slope). Rimpull only is applied to wheeled machines and drawbar pull to tracked.
Thanks for the compliment! Are you working with Volvo Equipment? Maybe you can share some of the experiences you made with our machines?
Thank you guys. Very helpful 👌
there is a way you can fill your bucket full slewing up hill just bring your dipper arm or stick in close the machine wil slew faster and less stress on the slew motor,iv used a volvo to stack fertilizer didnt mind it but the only thing i didnt really like was inside the cab the dash and controls seemed a bit out dated with analog gauges,i drive a cat 324d thats the sort of dash and controls a operator needs.
Those volvos are nice to work with.
iv been a plant operator for 12 years mainly excavators anyway im on labour hire to about 15 different companys to operate there gear so i operate all diff brands i see alot of volvo loaders as i work for a lot of fert warehouses they work on concrete floors where its level and fert weighs bugger all,on dirt the volvos tend to be unstable with heavy material.
i like the articulated volvo 6 wheel dumpers they are the best to ride in comfort wise out of a cat one the same size the volvo uses up to 100 ltrs less in diesel in a 12 hour shift of carting wet sand out of a deep pit,the cat 740 seems like it is an old horse and cart with steel wheels compared to the volvo witch rides like a FH16 road truck.
NIce with Swedish feedback once in a while.. What was your concern with this clip?
to be honest, I am impressed with the Volvo C-series quite a lot. When will the D-series be comeing out? I hope soon!
Thanks for sharing your experiences with us! Did you also come in contact with Volvo Excavators or Haulers or do you know somebody who owns/operates one of these? Would be interesting to see what the thoughts are about these families.
volvo najam
Caterpiller rocks!
when slewing up hill bring the stick or dipper arm in close to the machine(not too close)so it will slew faster and its not labouring the slew motor as much and you can fill your bucket full, you will be more productive, also make sure you miss the tracks by at least a metre.
No need with today's swing motors...Never shovel logged have you.
