Andy saying take a breath before you wrap your hand around information especially information you align yourself with is 100% spot on. Great talk!!! Thank you
If the IDF is so accurate, Why are kids constantly getting in the way?
Unless that is a sincere question and you haven’t already made up your mind you didn’t listen to key points of the video
ikr, $160M + tanks can't even detect nearby projectiles/ targets 💀💀. If i was an IDF soldier i'd just retire no cap
Kids are fighting for Hamas and Hamas hides in hospitals and schools. Every place a kid will be. Duh!!!
6:57 We investigated ourselves and found we have done nothing wrong.
Well given they have investigated themselves and found things wrong in other circumstances, adds quite a bit more weight to what they are saying compared to hamas that has come out with 4 or 5 different stories for what happened on october 7th.
@@RetractedandRedacted what the hell are you on about? Yeah, they say they've found things wrong in other circumstances because they want to make themselves appear credible. It's called a set up. Plenty of con artists use them.
Ok shillbot
@@powersv2 If you're talking to me, you apparently don't even know what shill means
@@RetractedandRedacted my comment got deleted for some reason. How does misdirection (a pickpockets tactic) give any validity to a liar?
The dudes had their shirts off and white flags. Plus they were talking in Hebrew
Most of the Gazans near the border speak Hebrew. They work inside Israel, especially on these kibbutzim that were invaded. Also, Hamas often plays tricks, runs alongside children, etc, to not get shot... the soldiers are in a hot zone, and they made a terrible mistake.
@@Bklyngurl85that a lie most gazans have not left Gaza since being displaced from outside Gaza during the 1950 .
I often mistake white flags for AK-47s too.
I often mistake scribbling on a calendar as Hamas personnel operating within saod facility.
SgtMaj., as a Marine MOUT Instructor you both are exactly right on the multi demensional hazards of urban combat. I've also never been part of a mission that didn't swerve violently off script. Seems like they all always do. It's almost impossible to do the Zero to Hero 100% of the time or even 50% of the time. Great hearing from two Warriors like the both of you. Thanks brother.
Honestly, one of the biggest reasons behind the friendly fire and Civ casualties has to be because most of the current Israeli army was working their 9-5 before 10/7. Like I wouldn’t expect someone who just got done with civil trial and then the next day they’re given a rifle and told “remember that service you did 7-8 ish years ago that you probably barely remember? Yeah, good luck you’re goin to Gaza!” Like is the Israeli military good? Yes, very. Are they elite? Not exactly. Are they practically and very well armed and disciplined militia? Ohhhhhh yeah.
I really enjoy listening to Andy speak especially when it comes to polarizing topics. He’s far more intelligent than he claims.
Both what Mike and Andy are saying is spot on and another important fact to keep in mind is that accurate data and a full story is important - hamas has been regularly (and specifically for the last couple of months) dressing as Israeli hostages, taking white flags, and attacking and killing Israeli soldiers by surprise. This of course adds to the complexity of the situation and handling these terrible situations. The main difference in my opinion (while still holding people accountable) is the question of the general morality and motivation. I find it abundantly obvious that Israel like the US may not always be perfect and no country is, but the actions and motivations are spearheaded by justice and protecting and defending life as oppose to the very obvious neglect and disregard for life on the other side.
The day previous to that, they were led into a house containing deadly chemical bombs by Hebrew voices, several died
no they haven't! there's absolutely no credible evidence proving that at all! That's the craziest shit I've read today.
They shot 3 guys that were yelling at them multiple times (one of them in Hebrew) that they're hostages, none were armed, and they waved a white flag. there are multiple ways they could have brought them in cautiously.
What this shows is they're obviously just indiscriminately shooting everyone. There's loads of video evidence showing plenty of civilians being shot for no reason.
Andy Stump is a gem
Really intense talk. The bit about urban combat and friendly fire hits hard. It's a solid reminder that war's messy and everyone's accountable for their actions. Thanks for sharing
Yeah, but I feel Mike missed a really great opportunity to mention Pat Tillman when discussing fratricide or friendly fire. As former Army SF, I am really surprised he didn't mention Pat. What a great guy and what a horrific story, especially sad for his family that the Army tried to cover it up!

The only thing they objected to was that they were Israelis. They do this everyday
Something that is missing as far as the hostages being killed. The on-scene commander ordered his men to stop firing at the hostages as one of them had a white flag, and they stopped shooting and then re-engaged. They directly disregarded orders
This is part of their Hannibal Dorective...Similar to
Trigger happy IDF killed more of their own civilians than one can imagine
The incinerated hundred of cars
The incinerated bodies (hundred)
This was done by Trigger happy Apache helicopter pilots and their tank shells...Small munitions cant do that.
Wouldnt be suprised if they deliberately killed as many as possible to try and further justify their genocide.
"Mass Hannibal" - We killed Israelis on 7 October, says Israeli air force colonel
An air force colonel has said that Israeli airstrikes may have intentionally killed Israeli captives rather than let them be taken to Gaza.
Speaking in Hebrew about the airstrikes, Colonel Nof Erez told a Haaretz podcast in November, that “the Hannibal Directive was apparently applied” and that 7 October “was a mass Hannibal.”
Plus they killed and injured a bunch of journalists who all had PRESS patches clearly identifying them as Press everywhere. It was on their helmets, it was written in huge letters on their body armor and their vehicle which was nearby. According to those who were there, they even kept yelling that they were press. Yet the Israel’s IDF forces just kept firing upon them. Hama does not look anything like journalists. They don’t wear bright blue helmets and armor. Also when the people you’re shooting don’t shoot back, that’s a good indication that it’s innocents. I’m behind Israel 100% and I can’t stand the protestors who are clearly for Hamas. We all feel sad for the non-combatants and especially the women and children. However Israel has the right to defend itself. Now I know the USA has also made some big mistakes over our two long wars, or the GWOT. However usually ROE’s to engage with deadly force required being fired upon first or having clear positive identification of possible/probably terrorist activity. Although I must say those journalists were on their own, they were not imbedded with IDF. So they also took a giant risk of death, kidnapping and or injury. It’s pretty nutty to just be cruising around Gaza during a war, all on your own.
@@patricksmith2553 more than that..they assissinated the familes of the journalists in some cases..they have done this many times in their history..they are committing war crimes and the world is silent.

Palestinian Christian Pastor Slams Western Silence on Genocide in Gaza
Through the Christmas holiday, Israel continued its relentless bombardment and siege of the Gaza Strip that has seen over 20,000 Palestinians killed. In the West Bank, we speak with Reverend Munther Isaac, pastor at the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bethlehem, which canceled Christmas festivities in the storied birthplace of Jesus to mourn the deaths in Gaza and received worldwide attention for their nativity scene depicting the baby Jesus surrounded by rubble. "Christianity started here and never ceased to exist here," says Isaac. "This is what Christmas is in Palestine: displaced families, destroyed homes and children under the rubble."
Mike Glover, you said recently, teaching people how to shoot a gun is much lower on your priority list. Totally understandable! We are living in the most divided times here in America that I have ever witnessed! Just know that teaching those of us that never shot a gun or are just green! I am thankful for learning how to correctly hold a gun and how to accurately shoot a gun is essential for this time frame that we are all living in!
So you’re saying that a random kid saying “death to all BLANK” is a threat? I feel like that’s just saying opinion unless ur in position of power or pulling together resources like actually causing crime… the funny thing is about two mins before this Andy said “wipe Hamas off the face of the earth”. Andy, I think the important question to ask regarding Mike’s question about Israel’s response to 10/7 is “what options does the Israeli government have?”. They could not respond, pin prick back, or destroy HAMAS like you said. How do you destroy HAMAS without taking suicidal levels of risk?
They also took out “a good guy with a gun” who was completely surrendered, on his knees, begging in Hebrew. I have no sympathy with Israel.

I think the friendly fire and civi casualties could just be fighting people that look similar. We were fighting very different people from ourselves. Clothing facial features language etc. Israel v palestine is like Idaho v Montana.
I was thinking the same thing
7:51 The reason it's difficult to spin this idea that what Israel is doing isn't that bad is because it is that bad. If you understand actuarial science to any degree, you know you can slap a title on a set of data that's very misleading when compared to what's actually going on. They are doing the statistics by per bomb dropped. I mean, you may as well take the statistics from Pol Pots carpet bombing of civilians and compare what Israel has done in the past 3 months. Pol Pot had 540,000 tons of ordinance dropped on civilians resulting in 500,000 deaths. That means 0.92 deaths per ton of ordinance dropped. Israel has dropped 4000 tons of ordinance resulting in 20,000 deaths. That means 5 deaths per ton of ordinance dropped. Even if we make a generous assumption that half of these were Hamas you'd still have 2.5 deaths per ton of ordinance dropped. That means what Israel has been doing is 2.7 times worse than what Pol Pot did per ton of ordinance.
no one cares about your bs, blessed are those who bless Israel, cursed are those who curse Israel
Hold on this is too much nuance for the likes of Mike Glover and his usual audience

As a Palestinian who’s lived over there and now lives and was born in the US. This whole thing just pisses me off. I’m a pro Palestinian but I’m not pro hamas by any means. I personally believe Palestinian innocence and Palestinian sovereignty can be proven without Hamas statistics and influence. I lived in that for a while and dealt with many injustices by Israel myself. My family has been killed for no reason, we are Christian Palestinians in the West Bank.. we hate hamas, we love the US, we love the west. Yet everyone supporting the Palestinian cause is just taking things to the absolute extreme. Even supporting the Houthis which is just ridiculous to me. I don’t understand how that even happened. The Houthi’s are complete opportunists. Anyways.. as a Palestinian, this all hurts my heart. Historically the Hamas ministries statistics on things like civilian deaths have been accurate and from what I’m hearing from my family in Gaza it is accurate. But nonetheless, hurts my heart.
Sorry guys, I appreciate your attempt to make this in a to a more subtle and nuanced situation. It just is not that "gray". It is quite clear who both bad guy and aggressor is in this case.
It's Israel that supplies Ukraine, not Gaza.
@Jorvaskrr is that the skewed perspective that you employ in order to validate IsraeHell as the "good guy" despite being gen0c1dal? Your mind is twisted. That's some very weak mental gymnastics you're doing there.
It's really mind blowing to me that people are confused how the IDF could make the mistake that killed 3 hostages at a time that was likely dark and given hamas' tactics when entire tanks and APC's have been targeted by the same side on open battlefields in wars against countries with established militaries.
IDF have a history of killing civilians and UN soldiers "by accident" so the fact they smoked their own hostages is not remotely surprising
As an israeli guy who is going thru sf selection that is extremly tragic. Thank you for showing your point of view on the matter. Much love

I'm not a military veteran, but I do know that innocents die in every war and to pretend otherwise is very stupid. Plus, it's especially hard for Israel not to kill innocent civilians, when the enemy (Hamas) is dressed exactly like innocent civilians.
And hamas is using them as shields

@@DarkPassenger That makes total sense, apparently 78% of the Gazan population supports Hamas.
Thanks for the great insight as always gentlemen. God bless!
1:09 being from an extensive military family, I can say that this isn’t a uncommon. Israel is just more open about discussing these incidents than say the US. In the Iraq war nearly 25% of the casualties were friendly fire. In most recent conflicts, 20-25% friendly fire casualties is average. It’s not like before when people stood in a line in an open field across from each other. These situations are extremely complex, and when fighting a terror group that has 0 regard for human life, it leads more incidents.
Students didn't chant for genocide or harm but used the saying if "from the river to the sea Palestinian will be free," the contention is if this is a call to genocide.

Something that should be considered, and I am sure you all are aware of, is the high percentage of the IDF that are reservists and not "professional" soldier's. They do not have the options that the professional military in the US has and, more importantly, they do not have the time to get the job done without having a very negative impact on their economy. I can't imagine being put in charge of a group of reservists that served two years with *some* training and then ask them to go into the mess of urban combat they have to deal with in Gaza. I do not mean at all to shit on reservists, but they just do not have the same level of training that a full time fighter does. That being said, they did it in 48 and 67 against much larger odds, I have to assume eventually they will come out on top again here, I just don't know what this looks like after they are done. BTW, Qatar is giving more money to these schools than Jewish donors, it is always about the money.
That’s an interesting perspective, we see the reservists as the professional soldiers..

I would be able to accept the college presidents' answer if they and their institutions had an established history of erring on the side of liberty, when it comes to speech. But all three institutions _and_ the individual presidents have endlessly violated the 1st amendment rights of their students and their staff. It was surreal to see any of those three talking about context. I think the fact that calling for the genocide of Jews is the free speech hill they chose to die on is disturbing as hell.
@kevinallies1014 No. I support a policy that takes the context of speech into account, regardless of who that speech is directed at, and regardless of the identity of the speaker. For example. I am a member of the LGBTQ+ community, but I agreed with the Supreme Court decision that protected the vile and repulsive speech of the Westborough Baptist Church. The context of their speech matters, no matter how much I'd like to shut them up.
I object to these presidents claiming to hold the same principle, despite never acting accordance with that principle until someone asked about calling for Jewish genocide.
They have repeatedly ignored the context of speech in the past, expelling students and firing staff in situations that should clearly be protected speech. They have gone even farther and redefined what even constitutes speech itself, in order to punish people. They've even gone so far as to stray into compelling speech.
After doing that for years, they suddenly have the gall to dig in their heels in defense of the 1st amendment, now that the speech is directed at Jews. That scares me. That reveals a clear and disturbing bias against the group that experiences a shockingly disproportionate amount of the hate crimes in this country.
All three presidents answered the questions terribly. They should demand a refund from the lawyers who advised them on how to answer those questions. But it’s important to always point out when this topic comes up: Elise Stefanik does not give a shit about antisemitism. She cares about one thing and one thing only: “owning the libs”, and antisemitism was just a political cudgel for that purpose.
Everything is subject to extreme scrutiny and revision, especially that which I want to believe.
