Love your videos man! I’ve watched almost all your videos to learn myself on DCC installs. Got a small fleet of DC units that need converting. Where do you source the speakers and decoders?
Howdy! Nicely done as usual. You re-wired the speakers in parallel instead of series... is that the preferred choice between the two? I just picked up a used Athearn Genesis SD60E with the Tsunami 2 decoder factory installed. Is the Loksound 5 that much better of a decoder? I'm pretty much sticking with Loksound on any upgrades of older engines, and they come factory installed on my new ScaleTrains. Was just curious your thoughts as I could do the same thing you did in this vid with that SD60E and use the Tsunami on the upgrade of an older engine. Thanks for sharing 🤠
I always seem to have better results wiring ESU decoders in parallel. The ESU decoder is more customizable than other decoders. If you have a programmer.
I would absolutely upgrade that SD60E to Loksound. You will want to sell the factory GN2208 decoder and go with a Nixtrainz Decoder Buddy instead of the Athearn 21 pin board which IMO has fairly dim lights
Thanks for sharing Larry! Very fine installation / upgrade!!!

I buy everything from Scale Sound Systems.

Is there any way you can do a sound decoder in a old riverossi 4-8-2 Pacific.
Ŵhat version of the Deooder Buddy were you using for this installation? As I am trying to replicate this installation. Thanks.
The V5 version.
Like the value of the resistors for the lighting?@SoloContracting
For a Genesis, I'm really shocked they reused the brass bearing Blue Box trucks ! Shame Athearn !
LS5 Direct with keepalive would of eliminated the Decoder Buddy
