Random resurfaced memory: I once made a joke in a TH-cam comment section because a small TH-camr I watch called "One Giant Onion" made a community post that said "One Giant Onion wants to know your location", so I commented saying "what if people started commenting their addresses lol" and my replies were filled with people's home address and a lot of them were real, but one lead me to a random porta- potty in the middle of nowhere in Texas.

God, the “I’m not even my own” part hit so hard. Both from lovely little ending to that last word and the relatability. Honestly there were a lot of parts in here that (as a singer in one of my school choir) gave me an eargasm. The ease it seemed to flow from her, the little flourishes at the ends of lines, and the way it reminded me of my vocal lessons where the teacher would play piano.

Just a random idea bout the song:
This song is about someone who’s been insecure all their life. Not just about their own life, but about ‘what if no one’s lives are real?’ And they’ve never been able to find what they need to get rid of this old and cold feeling in them, already feeling like they’re half way to death even when they’re quite young, and ‘you’re already halfway out the door’ could be s metaphor for themselves.
They still feel like this long into being old. Notice how it switches from ‘and I’ve never looked so old’, implying that they only look old, to ‘and I’m so tiny and I’m so old’ implying they are. His feeling that the works isn’t real continues to grow and they feel like they can see it glitching. They also grow a hatred for their current town and house. They miss the times when they weren’t as insecure, even if they still were back then. But they’ve tried to become an adult, and send the childhood stuff back to their hometown. But now they want to set their house on fire. And they don’t know if they’ll ever fix up their life.
Sorry if that was lengthy, just wanted to say what I thought it could be.
Honestly, I really like this idea! I really agree with the fact that they are talking about themselves when they say the half way out the door part. This really is an amazing idea!!!

When i listen to this song i think about an old OC i have.
She's was like a self-insert and was the pratagonist of a story i used to vent about stuff. She used to be a "badass, hearthless girl who's aways in a bad humor and beats the shit out of everyone she knows".
But i decied not to use her as a self-insert anymore and made some changes to her personality, apearence and age.
Now she's like- a completely diferent character and it's just so cool to see how she changed over the years.
No one cares, but ok.

Why does this remind me so much of one of my characters? She likes to garden(ultimate gardener in my fanganronpa if you know what that is), so the plant references are perfect, and she's very introverted. She's the protagonist, but doesn't feel like it as she's always overshadowed by the main support characters in conversations.
During the "I am not your protagonist" bits, I can vividly picture her lying starfish style on the ground of her lab/greenhouse and staring up through the glass through the ivy and the tops of the trees, wishing she had control over her situation, and wishing she was spending time with people like a normal teenager instead of hiding among the flowers.
Man, I wish I could draw, since the scene is so fresh and vivid in my mind at the moment and I don't want to lose it.
For anyone wondering, her name is Kahana. I don't know, I just wanted to put this out there. My fanganronpa is the longest project I've ever worked on(my pfp is actually 2 of the characters) and it means a lot to me, so finding a song that I as myself and Kahana as my character can relate to is just really cool.

I get the impression this will hardly be seen and so I feel confident in gushing. This song means so much to me. Aside from being deeply relatable to myself, it clicked for me some time ago as a song that's emblematic of a character I created (and really my antagonist, if I get off my ass and write my book). He's a terrible person, running around, shoveling down his trauma by being downright unapproachable and seperating himself from his humanity as much as possible. But, at the end of the day, he's a traumatized person who's running away *purely* because he doesn't know what else to do. Something about the end of the chorus, "I don't know what I need", a raw plea for help in circumstances beyond one's own comprehension, let alone beginning to deal with what's happening. Idk. That's him to me. He's prickly and monsterous, and he doesn't know what he needs, and this is a fact he's actively hiding. You'll figure it out someday Jaded, I promise, I love you. Even though it probably doesn't seem that way lmfao. And I fucking love this song for all the hundreds of times I've played it in the last year. Makes me cry a little every time.

Damn I remember listening to this on Spotify on loop for hours on end playing washiez (idk how to spell it lol) on Roblox and blocking the exit so all these little kids would rage and start calling me names and ‘shouting’ in chat when they were only really typing words in capital letters then all the sad teenagers who got promoted into workers would give me warnings until I ended up in the jail which each time I got sent would end up being more and more time sitting there in a small box with a rectangular garden which I always tried to get out of but never succeeded and right after I got out I would do the same thing
