    Awesome video! Mind me asking how many thread turns it took to actually get 3inch of lift? Thank you!

      Thank you. The 4runner is in the shop. I think it is like 3. It really is different for every setup. Depending on the spring rate and weight you have on the vehicle.

  • @jeepdog626
    @jeepdog626 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Spring difference is due to weight of full gas tank. Springs compensate for that. So when u alter your suspension, there is a driver side and passenger side..

    • @timthetrailman4563
      @timthetrailman4563  ปีที่แล้ว

      That would make sense for the rear springs but the fronts were the only ones different side to side. The fronts would be different to compensate for the fuel tank?
      My aftermarket set ups on mentioned driver/passenger for the UCAs. Not the coilovers or rear springs. Did I miss something?

    Hi Tim, awesome information, after all can you share how much preload on coilover both side, I just got my shocks and I have no idea how much treads to put on it, thanks a lot, have fun with your beautiful ride

      Thank you for watching. If time and tools are not an issue for you. I would leave the coilovers at its "factory" setting. Install everything. Measure ride height and adjust from there. Doing it before then might force you to have to adjust both on the second attempt. Make sense?

      I have seen some of their TH-cam videos. They seem to be pretty knowledgeable.

    Did it mess with the radar cruise

    • @timthetrailman4563
      @timthetrailman4563  ปีที่แล้ว

      It did not. I would've thrown it all out if it did. I love radar cruise control. Ok maybe not throw it out but it did not mess with it.

    So what was the magic thread count for not having a bumper or winch?

    • @timthetrailman4563
      @timthetrailman4563  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I actually am not sure. I can count when I get home. I know barely any on the passenger side and more on the driver side. The 4runner still might be leaning, though. I need to measure again.

      That would be really sick man I bought the non adjustable fox racing 2.5 and I’m about to start on the front today.

      @killafox882 if you have IG message me there and I can send you pictures and thread counts tomorrow evening or Monday evening when I get home. Not sure when I will get home tomorrow

      So what’s the tread count?

    • @timthetrailman4563
      @timthetrailman4563  ปีที่แล้ว

      @killafox882 crap, I totally forgot to respond to you. I'm sorry about that. On my L/F it is 7 threads, and R/F it is 2 threads. That puts my L/F about a 1/2 lower than the right front but I don't want to pre load the spring too much.
