So many crashes tonight, kinda sad, must have been a hard track. In overall, great races, so much epic battles between the drivers. Gotta love it.
Not really a hard track for these guys. They all have the tracks wired when you watch their best lap times. But they are pushing the limits of the track and trying to knock off only .1 or .2 seconds a lap. Your in 10 place, and you are only going .3 seconds a lap slower than the leader,---push it man.
In the post race press conference, Roczen said that the spot on the track where both AC and Coop crashed was not built very well. He said it was a 5 woop dragons back and that the last one was the shortest one, which would sometimes cause the front wheel to dip down. But those two guys got the worst of it.
It was not that it was a hard track. It was a dangerous track.

CONCRETE !! They are having a laugh, we was talking about about this 20 yrs ago and still the riders can land on it risking life and limb .
A layer of soft dirt surely is safer.

Its just crazy how careless this part of the track is neglected from safety measures. It would not cost much to expand the dirt for a couple of meters (or feet;)) and it would make it so much safer. Maybe you could even provide some kind of rubber mats or something like that. It would not interfere with the viewing experience and it could potentially keep some of the riders healthy and running for the show, in case of the crash. just why on earth dont they do it?! i dont get it at all!
I understand your point but we all know the risk of this sport everytime we throw a leg over the bike and honestly worse injuries happen landing on the dirt.
Tail bone never a quick recovery, bug him for the rest of his life, hopefully didn’t affect disc’s and vertebrae
@@derwutgamer3570 A rubber mat would pose it's own injuries also, like your foot does not slip on it and it wrecks your knee, for an example. What it needs is something that slows you down softly with no big pressure on any one spot of your body. WATER!! Yea, WATER!, like a moat all around the track. Add alligators, and you have some real SX here man!!!!! lol Here is probably the #1 safety problem in 450 SX,---the bikes are too powerful, and the tracks are too fast.

The dragons back was not built right, the 5th bump should have beem the highest, big mistake by the track builders, along with the concrete... plus the intensity of the Triple Crowns. Maybe the AMA should listen to the riders instead of the fans. The last 450 main was an awesome race!

I disagree, when the field is so deep, the riders have to pick up the pace. This is why they fall. JS7 always wanted to be first which is why he fell, ET3 is now showing he is comfortable riding at that beast speed and others, like AC and WEEB are not used to it. Has little to do with the track. Look how often Bagget went down all on almost flat surface

from this angle, the pass tomac made on roczen going into that dragon back to triple didn’t look nearly as aggressive as it did on tv, tomac didn’t cross jump at all lol, roczen j made a mistake, he even said so in the press conference. love the respect those 2 have for each other and how clean the racing is between yet is still so aggressive. cheers to them

Tomac is riding with confidence and a level of controlled aggression that I don't recall from previous years. He's going to be very tough to beat this year. Also, I love the handshake and respect at the end between 94 and 3. Classy move from KR.

Presuming the powers that be are already thinking of ways to revamp the Triple Crown series for next year. Tonight was brutal, and, combined with the opinions from racers and fans, something has to change.
If Track owners across the nation, (tracks that are not on the FIM USA nationals), started a new series, they could take the racers from the FIM and AMA. How would you like to compete with classes like these? SX: 125cc 2-stroke class for the new kids, a 250cc class that accepts both 2-stroke 250's and 4-stroke 250's, No 450 in SX.
Outdoor nationals: Same classes, but add the 450 class, which can also run big bore 2-strokes. I could see that format starting a 20% plus growth in the industry in the USA.

@Monster Energy Supercross Guys this is very critical, please listen to me. That was NOT the correct way to deal with Cooper Webb after the crash. Please invest in targeted training and equipment for your track workers, and avoid concrete surfaces around the track. Watching the mechanism of injury he seriously could have gotten spinal damage. We don't want to see riders in wheelchair.

Who are you? What are your credentials to give medical advise? :) I have heard if you are in an elevator that snaps a cable and starts falling, the best thing to do is to lay on your back flat. Cooper got lucky, just a bad bruise into the pelvis. He may have landed the best possible way on that ground for the least amount of injury, pretty much flat on his back.
Were you there? I was and I saw how they treated him from the time her hit the ground. They did a fantastic job of stabilizing him before determining he did not have a spinal injury. You keyboard warriors bagging on everything these highly trained professionals due on a daily basis is disgusting.
They definitely complete an assessment to determine how they will transport the rider / patient.

Watching the live lap times last night, I saw Adam was out. I guessed it was a separated shoulder. I got lucky, Adam didn't.

I like Tomac. But because of the 2019 MXoN, I hate Kawasaki. (Kawasaki would not let our 2 national champs, Adam and Eli race for team USA, pretty much making sure we would lose,----and I will bet money the "Anti-American FIM" was the driving "force" behind that decision.

Well, there goes the championship hopes for Adam and Cooper. But here is an update on Cooper from swampmoto: "Cooper Webb’s hard slam in 450 Race Two has left the Red Bull KTM rider with a deep bone bruise and hematoma on his pelvis and sacrum." Adam, from Vital MX: "Vital's Take: Adam Cianciarulo sustained a broken collarbone in a crash during qualifying today in Arlington.". Looks like they both can possibly come back before the series ends, but I hope they just forget SX and get ready for the nationals.

They shouldn't have concrete that close to the course...surely everyone can figure that out.
It was more about the way he crashed or should I say landed. Land on packed dirt the same way would have the same effect. In actuality if he stayed on the track he most likely would have impacted the face of the jump and probably head first which could have been a lot worse.

This sport is anything but safe, but I do tend to see less injuries and overall complaints with the outdoors versus the indoors.
I see a lot of $ out there, big logos, big names, big $, everywhere.....SX isn’t for the weak but come on man. Cover the concrete. Especially when you build a jump that’s basically whoops going up the take off....We all like cool tracks with new features but that’s beyond unacceptable to not cover the concrete around those areas. Mulch is cheap, period.

koengixxer I have a huge problem with the triple crown format, you essentially added 6 more situations in which these men risk their lives, you call them main events to entice people into watching, and then this happens, I really hope the motocross community voices their disapproval of the triple crown. It literally only added more danger. Hope the guys are alright.

The track's are to dangerous, to fast, the speed always gets higher and competition stronger...
They should make it a 10 rider field in the main(final), or 2 finals with 10 riders..
Group 1, the fast, "mostly factory riders"
Group 2, the "slower" riders, mostly non factory backed teams..
More winners, more podiums, more races and fights on the track to see...
They can have it like this tho... But it's just a waiting game to when there is another victim, hopefully not!

Please get rid of the Triple Crown format unless it’s the Monster Cup. A lot of the riders & fans don’t like it. The 450 class had to go almost 50 laps in one night. I personally think that is asking a bit to much of them.

It’s very obvious that if the concrete wasn’t left exposed, Coopers injury MAY HAVE BEEN less intrusive...... going the extra mile in the name of safety, should be a gimme!!
