    We're old enough now to get people who genuinely get Fallout 4 nostalgia.

    The thing about Nuka World that annoys me is that if you’re playing through as a good character, the main quest of the DLC is significantly shortened. I wish they would have added more quests for if you side against the raiders.

      Not me. Could hardly wait to get out of there. I decided long ago that achievements and challenges and letting my inner perfectionist out were fun stoppers. I know they add fun for many, but as described here, not a net gain. For me.

      Even good characters manipulate and play bad to get what they want and then they kill the bad guys after they’ve outlived their use

    ngl. the whole, I built these settlements. Now let me attack my settlements was really fucking stupid lmao.

      This, right here. And if you just wipe the raiders out, you really don't get anything out of it.

      Dumbest fucking idea ever base the goddamn third of the game off building up the Commonwealth just to make a dlc where you fucking destroy your hard work for fun? To be cool? Idfk lol

    I'm seeing a pattern here with so many LOADSCREENS with NukaWorld, and Starfield.

    • @conmereth

      The same applies to releases like the Shivering Isles and Far Harbor but I've never seen anyone point that out

  • @GnosticAtheist
    @GnosticAtheist ปีที่แล้ว +7

    You can do missions in there if you want, sure, but the best for a good character would be to get a lay of the land, do missions up until they say they want you to go to the commonweath, then kill them all. My facist brotherhood character on the other hand opened fire at first contact, it was pretty funny how the entire DLC was reduced to "Oh I like this AK, ok bye!"

    Personally loved Far Harbor, but part of that was I visited the region on vacation years ago and some of Bar Harbor is very much like what is presented, without the radiation and people or animals trying to kill you every second of the day. The story is compelling and there are real choices to be made.
    Loath in many ways Nuka World for the reasons most people do. Build a bunch of settlements and now let's destroy them? Seriously? Destroy in some cases hours of work for a bunch of psycho raiders that will slit your throat in your sleep the moment you outlive your usefulness. Make everyone hate you in the majority of Commonwealth towns that you've been carefully cultivating relationships with for a whole playthrough. What? And do all this for a bunch of caps when you're probably at a point where your gear is as good as you might want it to be and you've got all the caps you really need. Okay, what are you on?
    No, seriously.
    What are the developers on when they thought that this would be the way to end things.

  • @jacobambos3885
    @jacobambos3885 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    The trick is to skip the main quest and do Nuka-World first. Become a raider boss before anyone in the Commonwealth really knows you. Then you can "turn over a new leaf" after completing Nuka-World (and wiping out the raiders), and all Preston Garvey will do when you meet him is ask if that part of your life is over now, if he brings it up at all.

    Get new vegas. If you've never played it do a review on it and I guarantee you it will add a few hundred subs to your channel. Other than that I've never played this dlc and enjoyed the video.

    • @IshimuraaYT
      @IshimuraaYT ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @MrDjBigZ subjective opinions aside, I also do not like new Vegas but it is far superior over fallout 4 in writing/story/lore/characters....I'm honestly to modernized to find it fun for more than 2 hours and the constant crashes don't help but to say 4 is better is just wrong

    • @michelangelo5903
      @michelangelo5903 ปีที่แล้ว

      @MrDjBigZi want to play fallout 4 but i just never stay interested for a whole play through. i just want to run and gun in that game where NV i just like it and only get bored of early game quests since i’ve done them so many times over the 10 years i’ve played lol

  • @robertlocock5636
    @robertlocock5636 ปีที่แล้ว +8

    Ended up getting the dlc last year only so I could use mods that employ it's assets. Thought the entire premise of the expansion was broken and counter to how a majority play the main game.

    Nuka World should've had the option where you take over the park with the faction you chose to side with, it doesn't make any sense that the general of the minutemen is also the leader of a large raider gang.

  • @cstains5543

    Simple truth, some achievements exist only to prevent all but the most insane to 100% a game.
    All sugared up and Eyes on the prize are those types of achievements.

    I actually loved the nuka world dlc; my only complaint about it is how barren the map is outside of the park. As for the achievements, if you're playing on steam, you can use the steam achievememt manager tool to automatically unlock broken, stupid, or otherwise pointless, achievements.

      Lol nah man, go for it. I love Fallout 4. This DLC is pretty much the only thing I don't like about it

  • @josephtripp1696
    @josephtripp1696 ปีที่แล้ว

    With it being intended to be started at level 30~, Nuka World should have been locked behind finishing the main story quest-- some sort of scavenged institute power generator restarts the rail to it or something idk. The minutemen are awkward with this DLC specifically because the game needs them alive to engage with the main story in case you take out everyone else. So remove that hurdle and it's suddenly possible for a clean decision to either wipe the raiders or the minutemen comes into play.

    Yeah I just never played Nuka world. There was literally No point to the dlc, the idea was to give the feel for evil characters but. Nothing you do in nuka world matters in the rest of the game outside nuka world in a significant way it’s also virtually impossible on survival to complete one mission in under an hour at minimum

  • @iplaytomuchfalllout
    @iplaytomuchfalllout ปีที่แล้ว

    I really liked the idea of nuka world, a big pre war theme park now run by 3 groups of degenerate raiders. But if you are playing a good character, you just kill colter and then do open season. I think its really stupid they did that and it really pissed me of since the main story was only like 30 minutes or so, big waste of my money. I think this dlc is good in most parts other than the main story but it still just pisses me of so much how they barley paid mind to good characters!

    good old days were during Fallout 1 & 2 gameplay in 1997, believe me, beloved series went from dark grim brutal world to colorful building/survival game lacking any implementations of choices to affect game world, ZERO nostalgia about Fallout 4, not bad game but it's part when everything started to go off-topic -_-

    Never understood people trashing the game, because of what Steam achievements make them do. DLC is pretty good overall in my opinion. Enemies definitely could be better though

    • @MostlyPositiveChannel

      I do want to make it clear that I really love Fallout 4. It's just Nuka-World that I ended up despising. The concept is absolutely perfect and I was over the moon hyped to play it, but the execution was horrendous. As for achievements, I really like trying to 100% games. Achievements also help encourage players to go out of their way to see or experience things they might not have. 2 excellent examples are Halo and Monster Hunter. Halo has a ton of achievements tied to easter eggs. Those easters eggs are genuinely amazing to see and experience. There's one in Reach where you get to see Doctor Halsey's lab. Any die hard Halo fan would LOVE to see something like that, but the game gives you 0 clue that that sort of thing even exists. Achievements help push you in the right direction. For Monster Hunter, World and Rise had achievements tied to a ton of ecological events. If you go for those achievements, then you get to see how much love and passion the devs put in to making those worlds feel so unbelievably life-like. I totally understand that it's not for everyone and I wouldn't ever knock someone opinion for that, but to me they just add so much more that I might not of known existed otherwise.
