Too bad MK11 also ditched different pre-fight dialogues for young and old/revenant versions, and went only with young instead. It's really jarring to hear this old, badass Johnny say some arrogant -shi- stuff written for his douchie young version.
Linden Ashby's Johnny Cage had everything you look for in him: charm, humor, a massive ego hiding that heart of gold within, and a cockiness and chemistry with Sonya, all of which have stood the test of time well enough to be incorporated into the games' canon. He is, was, and always will be live action Johnny Cage for me. Jeff Pilson was great in 9 as well with that brash in-your-face style and loud bravado. But as far as voice actors go, Andrew Bowen gets my vote for perfectly capturing the older and wiser, mellower Cage of MKX and 11, and for getting the tone right as the MK9 era entertaining jerk in 11 as well.
It would’ve been awesome if they had Jeff Pilson & Andrew Bowen do young and old Johnny (respectively) for MK11. In fact they should’ve done that for most of the kast.

I knew his voice sounded familiar, googled and realized he voiced Josh Birk. He effectively went from a parody of Johnny Cage to actually playing Johnny Cage. He's the perfect fit for Johnny.

Linden will always be my favorite, but as a huge Starship Troopers fan, I love that Casper was Johnny Cage. Shout out to Van Damme, who in an alternate universe was Cage in the game and movie.

Andrew Bowen IS Johnny Cage, only Pilson and the first actor got anywhere close. Jeff Bennett would be better with better material and direction.
