Welding taillights on the bumper... a custom controversy 😱

  • The taillights are welded on the bumper blade but we still need to mount the bulb bracket on the backside of the blade and fabricate a couple pieces before we can start chroming it with plastic flexible chrome 🛠

Love the unique character of all your designs. This car make over has some amazing elements to it. The tail light solution is not one I would have chosen, I liked the pointy nature of them against the rear fenders, but hey that's all about personal preferences, although from a functional point of view maybe a 'bumper' is not the safest place for them. I loved the sneak preview to some painting being done on the Bugatti the other day as you were rummaging around for lights! Looking forward to more of that project. Keep up all the good work Chad and don't let the haters deflect you from your passions!

Wow! You mounted those light fixtures. Smooth cruising fabrication. I love it Hiltzs. Great work. Flow = continual movement of lines, where one line flows into the next...Like the human body. Put a cast on the body, breaking the flow of natural lines. Vocabulary and terms...? Main question: Does it look good? Oh, yea baby!

Every time I hear (read) the back yard body men (parts changers) comment on how something is done, or not done, I have to shake my head. I have come to realize that Chad is not a body man, he is not painter, he is not a parts changer, so stop comparing him to those fields. Chad is an artist, his canvas is vehicles, he is not restoring them, he is not fixing hail damage or accident damage, he is not making daily drivers that have to stand up to road salt. He using what he has to make something new out of something old. He is making things that have never been seen before, he is thinking out of the box. I really enjoy the thought process Chad puts into things before he makes them, most of the time I can't picture it in my mind until its almost done, and that is what make this channel GREAT! I haven't missed one episode. So for all you body men out there, slow down, and enjoy Chad and Jolene for what it is, an artist show. At times he reminds me of Bob Ross! I have to say that Jolene's camera work is super fantastic, we get to see all the important parts and she works with Chad to get the best content. Thanks Chad and Jolene!!

@@richardjones7249 Every finished car appears to be fully licensed and driveable. True they don't have big motors in them or new electronics and 10 cup holders, that is not the intent of the vehicles. Sorry you don't get that point. Clearly they are for the road, in some videos he shows the cars being driven. And to cut you off before you pull the safety card, keep in mind they are welded together, they are safer than a driving a motorcycle for example, but then again a brand new car is not safer than a NASCAR racer. Its all relative.

Looks great I like how you did the back bumper and the splash pan the extra metal to wrap around all those little details take time and that's something that people that look at. Kustomiser notice that kinda stuff.
If they don't notice you'll know what you did to make it that extra touch.
The original don't have. You still have the inside to put together that's a whole big job in itself dash seats carpet headliner.
Are you going to put skirts on it? Maybe put your BadChad chrome strips on the skirts and put strips on the front fenders? Like the Fleetline look but it would be a coupe.
It would look pretty cool lowerd with long skirts on it to give it that elegant 1930s look?

I'll wait to see the final product. Auxiliary lights on the bumpers fine. But didn't Canada have some laws like United States? You have to be able to see them for such a distance they have to have a certain brightness rating or something? He's always put some neon lights underneath the car give that glow as you go down the road. Far when you put that external wheel cover on your trunk then you can enhance it with some kind of lights. Have matching hubcaps and the light in the center of it parrot you know they have these headlights that can be different colors.. but then I'm not watching you to see you do mundane things. There's plenty of shop class channels on TH-cam. By the way nothing wrong with that. It's nice to see the American Hot rod living breathing and being created. It happens in Brazil and other points South as well. We all live on the American continents here at North American Central American South American. Well anyway it's really a lot of fun to watch your root through your storage of Auto parts to see what works. I personally think it's fantastic idea. After all anybody who's willing to spend the money and able to and order stuff. Nothing wrong with that either. Variety. Well I try not step on them base toes. I just like old cars.
