I was a demogrogon for Halloween last year and me and my dad made the costume, we had no idea how to make the face open so we just made it stay open, I wish we had seen this because it looks only a little harder than making the one we made!
Ibrahim Momtaz ... no, I mean the dark marks on the back and the inner part of the mouth, he used a solder iron to make burns and marks on the foam for the patterns. I tried to make this but changed it up a bit , I really wish Eva foam came in such large rolls that are still cheap. I had to buy a roll, but it wasn’t as large so I cut each pedal on its own, resulting in a more difficult process.

Try to find some that's smooth on both sides - I think Joann just started carrying an EVA foam line from Yaya Han. To get EVA foam with one rough side but cheaper, try Walmart play mats for kids rooms or hardware stores for "anti fatigue" mats. Cut it with a box cutter. -The burning tool is most likely a wood burning tool. Possibly a soldering iron. -You glue EVA foam together with contact cement (can get that at a local hardware store). Kamui Cosplay here on TH-cam has some great EVA foam construction tutorials. -It looks like they used a type of Gorilla glue - possibly super glue - to attach the teeth. I think you can get a similarly good result with white fake acrylic nails for the teeth instead of cutting it out of foam. - You should prime your foam before spray painting - PlastiDip makes a great foam primer that preps for spray paint. Rustoleum has a similar product; I think it's called peel coat? -The rigging for the closing action is fishing line strung through the inside of a pen cartridge and a small random hardware piece in the middle to string it all through.
Bruh what foam did you use? I thought it was Eva foam, but I ordered Eva foam and soldering irons can’t burn through the foam like that in a smooth manner...
This is what I don't like about the denogorgon design, it looks cool and creppy in the series but in real life it looks more like a flower than a monster😔

Should have painted the face before painting the teeth that way you can avoid taping the teeth
