We played this song at my husband's funeral. We used to listen to it holding hands in bed. It is beautiful and means so must to me and our family.
I just heard this for the first time, completely cried my eyes out! What a touching and beautiful, emotional song! This is the first time I have ever left a comment on a youtube video too!! I am so touched!! Thank you, William Prince!! This is emotionally beautiful!!
I remember the first time I ever heard William Prince’s velvet voice. His gorgeous vocals were coming from CBC on the radio one winter morning almost 5 years ago. I was sitting at the kitchen table by the fire watching the snowfall as Breathless was playing. I was literally stopped and left breathless from his song. I have been hooked ever since. This new song is spectacular. The video shows the beauty of Mr. Prince’s mind and heart and feels like a true voice of love for the First Nations.

There is a sadness in me that doesn’t really have a home yet. COVID crap is definitely a big part of that. I could feel a need for some tears to cleanse the way to the gentleness in my heart. When I went to Manitoba for the first time in my life.I fell in love with the countbeside.It's gorgeous it's just beautiful up there. When you step on the ground there's instant freedom freedom from society and all the craziness that goes on in this world. I went and visited a naitive friend from la pa manitoba.
The drive from Calgary at That Time I Used to Live.There was about thirteen hours.
I fell in love with Manitoba.I couldn't believe the lakes and the beauty in the fresh air. It was freedom to me in the sense that I came to god's country. I know for some.They don't understand because they were not raised out in the country like I was as a little girl. My dad used to tell me to go walk outside barefooted on the morning dew.
I used to walk the dirt.Roads into the calluses were so thick on my feet.
Used to have a garden and a woodstove and a well. Long story short?I think we all should go back to the land.
When I was Visiting I went the reserve. The food at the casino was so good. The people were so nice to me. I don't gamble but I wanted to see what was happening. I even met the chief and he invited me to a barbecue.And I was able to film a local native singer and I put him on youtube. I don't know what happened to the video.But he was amazing singer. They told me stories of how they were brought up and how alcohol had ruined their family and I felt so sorry for them. Then they told me of interesting story that I was not aware of. I'm talking about it in the town was still painful for many people even after forty years.

You see I went to a lake north of la pa and my friend showed me Bettys headstone. And I wanted to know more.I wanted to know why people didn't really want to talk about her in the community. And so they told me and then I watched the story on youtube. It just broke my heart.How the natives were treated way back then and how old the murder was covered up.
I truly felt honored to be invited to the chief's barbecue. Is what amazing family. And the friends that he had.I felt close to them for some reason.
So that's my little story.I just wanted to share. May our heavenly father YHWH give you strength. He cares and loves us all. Soon there will be peace and security on this earth.
It doesn't Matter what skin color you are.It doesn't matter what nationality you are none of that will make any difference when we are united here together. Soon that will happen so don't give up hang on Keep praying keep having hope.

I am not native and I was raised. Catholic and my father told me just because he's a Catholic doesn't mean I should be one. So I started looking around and searching for sunset. Meant a lot to me and I was showing some scriptures. I gave me some help for the future.

Basically, when we were young reciting the Lord's prayer. We didn't know what we were really saying. We didn't know the meaning that much but these scriptures will give you an idea. What Jesus was saying when he told us to pray for God's Kingdom? So I'd like to just share with you a few..

Live on the other side of Canada and when I was a little girl.I used to walk through the mountians with my four dogs. My mother told me to take the dogs app into the Bush so that they could help me find my way back.And if there was any cougars they would protect me.
So this one day I was angry I was only ten years old and I couldn't just asking why our creator had given Jesus a name, and we all have a name.
I said to God.Why do I have a name?Jesus has a name and my dogs even have a name.But what do I call you do I just call you god. I knew god was a title and it was not a name
I'm sure God understood that that time why I threw rocks in the air and was angry at him.
10 year olds are still children and do silly things. I had left so far away from my house.That I was in some clearing where they were cutting trees down and there was clear cutting. It took me two hours to get there.
I've always been a person that was needing to be close to the earth. Most of my friends were native and we hung out together and they taught me many things.Unfortunately, they taught me how to smoke.I'm glad I quit😮
So I told my dogs to take me home after I said a prayer to god because there were things I did not understand. I think I was in the driveway of my home about maybe ten minutes maximum. This man came into the yard with a bible and he showed me the old king james. Then he showed me psalms 83:18
And I was surprised when I read that.Because every other bible had removed that and then he told me it was an original manuscript almost seven thousand times. And I knew the bible said that you're not supposed to take away from the scriptures.
So I would like to share that with you as well.
There is so many good kind.Loving native people in manitoba that was treated unfairly and i've talked to a lot of them in alberta.

Sad that people are Treated as if they are not important. We are all important in God's eyes.And we come from the same couple adam and eve. It's the religions that have divided people and that's not right.
I don't know why i'm writing you this maybe because i have compassion for people.
A scripture i would love to share is psalms 34:18

We first heard William Prince on CBC in the car a few years ago now. We were heading out to a camping trip and made a note of him in our camping journal, as we knew then that something special had just happened. We were then lucky enough to see him perform (with Whitehorse) a few years back in Toronto and have been dedicated fans ever since. His talent and gentle, tender, and oh so human insights never fail to strike a chord and it's wonderful to see this being recognized and shared as his fan base grows. I named my son William because it means "the protector" and I get this vibe so much from Mr, Prince too... I always feel safe in his music because it is vulnerable and without judgement, and nurtures the soul as a result. Hey William, if you're reading this please know how much we appreciate your music and stories in our life! Also, please look up The Avett Brothers in North Carolina because in my perfect world all of you collaborate on a song or put on a show together!!

I'm in Calgary now, and today is a balmy -40 with frostbite warning. This is considered south Canada. Likely a bit colder in Fisher Bay though ;) I've lived in the north in BC, Ontario, Alberta, up to mid NWT but yet to see Manitoba except in passing through. Looks amazing! The Canadian North....You can feel the power of that land, a big permafrost/muskeg goddess who can give life or take it away. Feels like spirits watching through the trees. Ah I so want to see Mr W Prince perform sometime!
