@@wizardsouthJP your welcome. just wondered if you checked out the Syn50 also ? What made you go for the Syn30? Was it good clean channel , size, weight compared to the Syn50. Also looks like the Syn30 does not have a master volume compared to Syn50?
@@richardfuller9274 I opted for the 30 as there's a built in load when you set the standby switch to Silent vs Play, so using the direct out with the cab sim wouldn't require a cab or separate load box. I may still try the 50 one day though, but the 30 packs a punch, and the built in clean is fairly good for as little as I play clean.
It was a great amp, just not as much grunt as a 50 or 100w. Used the direct out from time to time with great results. For a smaller amp it packed a punch for sure, just not like big iron amps.
The Synergy SYN-30 has a built in clean channel and then an open module bay like the old Egnater/Randall design allowing you to swap out amp modules. The Synergy modules are all 2 channel so the SYN-30 is essentially a 3 channel head - powered by 2 6L6. Boosted!
Matte23Pam I don’t like bright and brittle tones but you’re also hearing an iPhone clip, not exactly representative of what I heard. Yes, the clip sounds dark to me, but not really in person.
Whenever I hear the Soldano Slo module I hear Jerry's tone from Dirt. Great playing BTW!
richard fuller thank you - appreciate the complement

How do you think it compares to the other amps you have there?
Rick Whitney it’s got its own thing going, not bad for a 30w amp
Sounds great brother!
Are you still using the SYN-30 with this module mate?. I am very keen as I am about to purchase the same setup..

Details, mate. Does it have two channels? Was it boosted? Thoughts? Cheers!

Sounds killer
thanks for checking it out
Sounds Killer but it seems a little dark! I remember Soldano quite bright! Am I wrong?

How is the clean channel headroom?
fairly good, break up at about 1/2 way or a little under, but it's pretty loud at that level. It's no Fender Twin.
How does it hang with the KSR?
they both sound great, but the KSR is 100w with big iron - tones are fairly unique from that standpoint
not anything can hang with a KSR.
