Now your showing the comparisons I definitely like the limbal ring on the lenses.
I just got my hidrocor solotica quartzo and they definitely look like a zombie or a snake in real life. I would only recommend them for Halloween. I have dark eyes and I used to wear the trikolor grey which are intense but look way more natural. These look scary. Might not show on videos or but they do in real life.
Would you say the Crystal have the same effect as the quartzo? I am looking for a colour similar to the gray waicon trikolor

this was such a detailed review, thank you so much! i bought the hidrocor graphite last year and loved them but they were too blue and dark, for my complextion. Many people would ask if they were my natural eye color though because they did look so natural. I'm a NW3O, and the last pair I ordered were the hidrocor ocre, and they were way too striking for my liking, I wish I would have gotten the mel's but i'm torn between the natural colors quartzo and hidrocor crystal.

I just got these, "it's important to use eye drops throughout the day" , I learned the hard way, thanks for the tip though I will def carry drops with me from now on! The itchy, grain of sand feel drives me nuts!!! Also I can't imagine how long it would take me to put every single one of those contacts in for a video, it would take me forever! lol
Yes! Aren't eye drops the best?! Oh my god you have NO idea what I went through for this video, it was so annoying to keep washing my hands and switching them. LOL Thank you for acknowledging my effort!

Great review! Does the colored part cover your eye pupil after blinking or moving your eyes? Because some contacts do that and restrict vision.
hidrocor are so much more natural to me, crystal is the best looking on you. you should try ice it would look so good with the blond hair

I love limbal rings. Not thick ones like they use in Cosplay lenses but like the ring in your second pair u showed us.

Pierce d yes I wear mine on a regular basis but after 8-9 hours they will start to feel a bit dry so that's why i carry eye drops with me! Thank you for watching!

This is the most helpful Solotica review video i've seen! I wish the limbal ring of NC Quartzo was lighter, like NC Cristal's, because it's exactly the color i'm going for but the ring's so dark :(
Yes I had the EXACT same problem, I used to wear mine on a regular basis but then stopped because the limbal ring gave me a doll-eyed look! thank you for watching
I actually think hidrocor Quartzo look more natural than NC Quartzo for not having the limbal ring... But they all look great on you! Great review, and thanks for the tips!

Such a clear and helpfull review and they all look beautiful on you! I'm in a dilemma myself. Im looking for a greenish lens WITH a limbal ring. I already have hidrocor mel (super pretty but too bright for me) and I have NC mel (barely showed any difference, huge dissapointment). Im now scared to order any other colors from the NC range worried that they wont show up. But Im debating between NC cristals and NC quartzo. Question now is; do these two colors in NC show up? (even in the evenings)? And Which one in real life would u consider more of a greenish color? And which one look the most natural and has gotten u the most compliments without ppl thinking that their contacts? To give you an idea; i have fair skin and raven dark hair. Could u advice me pls i'm lost mweh.... Thank you dear!
Thank you so much for watching! I would say Quartzos definitely have an apparent limbal ring. They look like a pure green with gray undertones. I've had the Solflex Quartzos in the past and found them to be brighter with a darker limbal ring (check those out too). To answer your questions, i'd say:
1)The NC Quartzo will show up on you forsure! They are quite opaque for an NC colour!! I'd say the NC Quartzos are more striking than the NC Cristals because of the limbal ring and mixture of colours (they have a tiny bit of blue in them too which make them super attractive). The NC Cristals are a bit more natural and blend in with your natural colour and seem to be a BIT less opaque. Personally, if i want my eye colour to stand out i always reach for my NC Quartzos
2) I'd say the NC Cristals have more green in them because the Quartzos are a mix of different colours and look blue in some lighting and look gray in others
3) NC Cristals are a bit more natural since they blend in with your natural eye colour better (less opaque)
4) I receive A LOT of compliments/questions when i wear my Quartzos
My advice is if you're looking for an opaque green colour with a limbal ring and don't care about it being light & bright go with the Quartzos (since you are fair Quartzos won't be as light as Cristals on you). But if you want a light green colour that is super natural and suits your skin tone then go with the Cristals.
TBH im leaning a bit towards Cristals because I feel like they would suit your fair skin & dark hair beautifully!
But both colours look REALLY GOOD with dark hair!!! Goodluck, let me know if you need anything else
Thank you SO much! Reading ur advice with a smile on my face bc Im doubting a lot (and I mean A LOT) between the two. I was also leaning more towards the NC cristals. The only reason why I didnt buy these immediatly is the lack of the limbal ring in them.. So strange that for some reason the ring isn't so noticable with NC cristals. I think I need the limbal ring, or else my face (as it is so fair) will look washed out. But maybe I should just take that risk, as you mentioned that the cristals are more green then the quartzos. Im just hoping the NC cristals won't be TOO bright, I wanna wear them during the day without scaring ppl off, Im worried about that xD. But on the other side also hoping they will make a significant change. As I've seen in ur video they will. Last question: Will they show up in evenings also in dim light? My hidrocor mels do and that looks lovely.. hoping the NC cristals will as well. Once again, thank you! You've been a big help to me and I appreciate it a lot!
eliza lia eliza lia I know exactly what you mean with the limbal ring, I feeel like it adds more dimension to my face. NC Cristals are overall softer and lighter. In terms of dim lighting, both of them have the same brightness (they don't appear darker or dull) but looking at some of my pictures now, the cristals do look gray in some lighting so keep in mind they don't always look green.. Whereas the quartzos can look dark green sometimes or a gray green in different lighting, but more of a medium gray green in dimmed lighting. Also during the evening I feel like my quartzos are a bit more 3D looking and exotic whereas my cristals blend in with my natural eyes and look more natural. If a limbal ring is what your looking for then honestly go with quartzos because they are green/gray with a not-too-harsh ring around them that can make you look less washed out. It's such a hard decision!! I don't blame you being confused!! Either way don't worry about them not showing up in different lighting, they're both opaque so you'll definitely be able to see them in the evenings. Search luxelenses on Instagram, they have a lot of pictures!! Let me know if you need anything else 💜
eliza lia if you're stuck choosing between nc cristal and nc quartzo, get both of them! You're gonna be rockin' it.
it also happened to me when I was deciding to choose between hidrocor mel (march 2016 opacity) and nc esmeralda (nov 2016 opacity). I keep searching videos of those colors as I want green color contacts. sometimes I want the hidrocor mel because of its olive green tone, and sometimes I want the NC esmeralda because of its cooler green undertone w/ a slight limbal ring, and a toned down version of the hidrocor esmeralda. then I ended up ordering both of them.
Abram Patrick Abesamis, maybe I will order them both lol as they seem so pretty in this video on this gorgeous girl. I never really thought about the color esmeralda though. They seem to be darker than the mels, so i'm thinking that if the NC mels didn't show up on me, the nc esmeralda's wont either?

Hi there! I just checked my order history and they are the NC Cristals. I am not sure why the limbal ring isn't too dark or apparent on my eyes but when they are in the lens case i can see the limbal ring clearly (it's dark greenish)..Maybe it depends on the lighting and each person's eyes? Not sure!

Tone down the limbal ring and tighten the pupil (similar to the Hidrocor) and the Natural color lenses would be perfect.
Hi, all the contacts look great on you! I'm having trouble on choosing between NC Cristal and Hidro Ocre. Which ones would you recommend from your experience wearing them? Which ones look better with dramatic eyemakeup?
Hi love. thank you for watching. the NC cristals are great but I prefer the Ocres. I actually wear them on a regular basis and they look SO SO exotic and natural looking! If you want a light grey/green. look though by all means go for the Cristals but Ocres are more settle and natural making them a great to wear everyday! For dramatic eye makeup I would say the Cristals look better because they're lighter and brighter! If Im going out and I plan on wearing a lot of makeup, id reach for the cristals!!

I have the ocre and I get lots of compliments through out the day... Without people questioning about them being contacts... However they do take time to get used too.. at first to my self they looked like a zombie when I put them in I was Soo not satisfied ... But now I'm getting to blend in with confidence..

in your video the natural colours cristal hasnt got a dark limbal ring! but in other youtube videos it has a dark limbal ring! I don't know if i should risk it!

Unfortunately I don't have the Hidrocor Cristals to compare so I might purchase them and make a video x thanks for watching
For anyone who wants to buy these. Think about what base curve the lenses are. I bought two pair of lenses and the base curve is to big for me. Which makes them move around in my eye when I blink hard and will give off little discomfort whenever they are in the eye.. This happens when the base curve is to big :/
LinneaK most of the lenses in the market following standard base curve 8.6mm because many people can fit them.. maybe you can get a custom lenses but it's not cheap though

Hi sweetheart thank you for your nice comment. I have to maintain them regularly and change their solution or else the lense will soak up the solution and dry out so it's important to check up on them on a regular basis and change their solution. Thanks for watching love x

Hi love, thank you for your sweet comment. It depends which eye colour you want to have, I would say the Hidrocor Ocre, Cristal and Mel are very natural! If you want a colour a bit darker then the Ocres then try the Avelas! Goodluck

Hmm..I'd say if you're looking for something natural definitely check out the ocres or avelas for a light brown/hazel colour or cristals or Mel for a green colour!

Hi there! Thank you so much for watching! I understand what you mean by the zombie effect, sometimes my hidrocor quartzos are like that! I think they NC Cristals are beautiful and their limbal ring isn't as dark as Quartzos so theyre less 3D and a bit more natural! I don't have the batch number (I'm guessing it would be on the packaging which i threw away) but i just checked my order history and have the sku# if that helps, let me know if you want me to send it to you!

These are the NC cristals, the limbal ring isn't too apparent on my eyes but in the case you can see it has a dark green ring around them but it's very thin

Yes I believe they are light, probably not as light as Cristals.
How do they end up lasting for a year? I thought you are only supposed to wear contacts only for 3 months
These are annual lenses and can be comfortably worn for 1 year! They have a pretty long life! You must take really good care of them though.

Kent new! They're all from 2016, I've noticed the 2016 ones are much more opaque
