I never heard this group before seeing them live last night opening for Delain in Montreal . I truly like Delain but I have to say that I loved this group.. I bought cd to listen to on drive back home ( I live 2.5 hr from venue) and wished I had bought the artbook that was available at the merch stand . the whole band is so tight and the vocalists are top rate! ( FWIW they had a bigger line at the merch stand than Delain had.. when I saw they have a huge follwing in Prog Rock and Metal Rock loving Montreal I knew they would be fantastic
I had the chance to see them again last week also with Delain here in Charlotte. Sadly I was in a poor position to get any new video of either band, but it was a fantastic show by both groups!
imperial age are great too. but i agree. saw them 2 weeks ago live for the first time. soooo much better live. i listened to their pirates album and was quite underwhelmed. and live the same songs were awesome. whoever mixed that album needs to be chased down the plank off a pirate ship and fed to the sharks :)
@@johnalford6964 Not sure what part of the state you are in, but they played Chapel Hill and then Spartanburg SC the next night. Skipped over Charlotte and Greensboro areas. It was a great show. Rumor is they may be back with Delain in the fall.
@@johnalford6964 I flew up from Florida literally just to see the show. Left Florida at 8am Saturday morning, then turned around and left Chapel Hill 6am Sunday morning. Totally worth the trip

Well said! This is why this music is sooo much better than the crap we have to hear on the radio in the US.
There is a fair amount of backing track vocals at the moving parts (melancholy angel for example). but that takes away nothing how amazing they are!

Lol that's funny, I only heard of Delain because of VoA. I tend to hear about more popular bands because of lesser known ones.
Best Symphonic metal band this moment to my opinion.

It really is! I highly recommend them if they are anywhere in your area.
Clementine's voice is so amazing. I'd love to see these guys live. I love their theme and costumes.
