I am sure that you will know that in the U.K. Knaus are the winners of the the 2023 Practical Caravan Magazine Owner Satisfaction survey which was conducted in association with the Camping and Caravan Club. As the name implies this is not awarded by journalist but is the result of feedback from owners. This hardly concurs with your often repeated opinion that Knaus are an inferior brand. It is also worth noting that in 2022, despite all the post pandemic supply chain issues, the Knaus Tabbert group sold 29,556 leisure vehicles, more than all U.K. manufacturers combined! For the first time in their history annual turnover exceeded one billion Euros, and they have just spent 60 million Euros on an additional production facility which will give them the capacity to produce up-to 35,000 units per year. To me this sounds like a company enjoying massive success and considerable loyalty from its customer base. I speak as an owner of one of their vehicles and when you look at the various Facebook groups complaints are few and far between, with recents comments such as “once a Knaus owner probably always a Knaus owner” & “why buy anything else”.
Good evening Alan, I really love this one. Was in it on Caravan Salon some years ago when looking for an alternative for a flat. BUT 200k for a Fiat??? OMG. Unfortunately my situation has changed significantly and travelling is a total exception instead of normality 😢 Today I look for layouts like the challenger 260: compact in total length but plenty of space inside due to the rear bath and lift down bed. I know such layouts also by Chausson (well, it's identically to Challenger) and Eura Mobil. Maybe there are others. Would like to see them on your channel. All the best for you and greetings from Germany.
Unfortunately I also have seen a major change in my situation too, so I sympathise. I am on my way to Dusseldorf now. I suggest you get an older vehicle - a classic Hymer, Carthago, Frankia, EuraMobil - something like that. A 15 year old vehicle might offer you more than a new one!
Why do motorhome designers always put the tv where it can't be seen by seated passengers when travelling? I wonder if they put the TV behind the sofa at home?
@@ampersand. Totally agree. The equivalent Hymer is far better all around. And yep Alan you do a great, honest job in a very light hearted way, very enjoyable.

Love it, own one its an amazing piece of kit 👍
It is always great to see a comment like that Dave!
Although we have the island bed version, and really happy with it its all about personal preference and tbh I think All motorhomes are amazing 😁

Presumably because there is nowhere else. Maybe they assume that no more than two people are going to want to watch it.
At this price point I think this is the worst layout / attention to detail I have seen.
Agree with Eric. The vehicle looks vast and clunky, not a very special interior imho and costs an arm & a leg. Alan, always enjoy your narration :)

@@ericlowe5483 Thank you both - that is very nice to read!
