Hello Master Cobuman. How can I solve when Outlook app displays the disconnected message? I have seen several tutorials but I was not convinced when they say you have to change the DNS. Does that happen when the user changes the password?
Hi Mario. Typically when you see an error message that is specific like "disconnected" the issue lies with some kind of connection issue. For those reason I would check to see if computer using Outlook has any unusual connection issues. This could be related to VPN, Proxy settings (inside Internet Options), DHCP server issue (router, switch), DNS and etc... Here is what I would do. Open CMD and do a ping + traceroute test to the Exchange server. Compare that to a computer that has Outlook working fine and go from there. A side note: Changing password could cause a temporary problem but as long as you reboot computer it should replicate the change at local level.
