Me too it's a good song. When I got this point in the game I realized the xeno series wasn't just some game that will be forgotten when the next big project comes along, it was a masterpiece and work of art on par with some of the greatest works ever made. Someone no many people poured their hearts and souls into this story and I can tell it's very personal and special to them.
@@Silvers617 Xenosaga 1 & 2 got a bundled released for DS in Japan (not 3DS, Scott got that wrong). From what I can find about it, it had some additional story content and fixed some other issues as well. Just like Pied Piper (which is only available on mobile, not DS or 3DS), this DS release of Xenosaga 1 & 2 never made it to the west. Xenosaga 3 never got a DS release even in Japan.
One of the most underrated video game songs from all the past years. Cleary overlooked even though Yuki Kajiura was all over this. Xenosaga was an awesome rpg series for me, but not a massive hit for others, i guess. This song and the games hold a special place in my life and heart, always.
Dude, I don’t even know the words to say how beautiful it is. It’s a great song. That’s all I have to say and I love listening to it to make me feel warm and happy inside. It’s an amazing song.
So theory about this song: it was a re-purposed song originally intended to be the ending theme of Xenogears Episode 4 Spoilers: Verse 1: perspective of Lacan, the emptiness welling up inside very much sounds like the formation of Grahf Verse 2: perspective of Krelian, him not getting the warmth he wanted or needed, because Sophia was already taken Chorus: perspective of Sophia, sacrificing herself for the sake of others, no matter how much it hurt herself On top of this, it very noticeably has some leitmotifs with Xenogears songs, most notably intangible treasure I believe it was called, which iirc played in a lot of the Lacan and Sophia scenes. On top of this, it doesn't really fit that well with Xenosaga at all, the story of the games was rather lacking in romance, with exception to Allen, which wouldn't exactly be befitting of the specific scene this plays in. EDIT: I hadn't played Saga 3 when I made this, but yeah this definitely seem to be about Kevin and Shion, my bad.

I wish I could be a hero where my friends and I share feelings of joy, sorrow, glory and mourn together. It would make my life worthwhile and sharing of time, love and life would exact my gratitude of appreciation. My efforts will not be in vain if I win love and wealth rather loss and defeat. I congratulate Sony for creating such xeno series exceptional to that of the others.
Monolithsoft and Bandai Namco created Xenosaga. Nintendo bought Monolithsoft and converted them into a 1st party studio, hence why the Xeno series is Nintendo exclusive now.

Episode 1 was such a great game, it's too bad the sequeals were crap. For some reason the game never followed through with what happened to Shion when she got infected by the gnosis.
Hmm, I read the lyrics over and over again as a teen and even as an adult, it doesn't really give me any problems. Care to explain why I keep reading bad reviews on the lyrics? I'm still not quite sure whats the problem with it.
This song is sung by Joanne Hogg, a vocal of the Scottish Celtic rock band (Iona). She sings some other great songs and I want you to listen.
Wave After Wave is a wonderful song!

@@magi-qrow4025 I just wish the "fixed" version of Episode 2 that was on the 3DS would have gotten ported over to the U.S.

Yasunori Mitsuda composed for Episode I, Kajiura composed the cutscene music for Episode II, then Kajiura composed all of Episode III's OST.
Sounds so much like the ending to future redeemed ❤

This is next level audible comunication. This is also generic.
This bares a lot of similarity to Suteki Da Ne.. This game and FFX both came out the same year too (coincidence? unlikely)

Xenosaga was horrible I didn't like it I liked the first xenogears
Xenosaga, like Xenogears, is amazing but deeply flawed. I would love for both games to get remade into the masterpieces they should have been.
Namco screwed it up in 2 and improved it in 3 which should have been 5 episodes. Truncated release destroyed it.
