    As just a nfl fan in general, it’s actually crazy that the jets/9ers drafted lance/wilson over fields… if the bears are smart enough to keep Justin and draft Marvin Harrison jr I think they are the deadliest offense in the NFL

      A wide receiver won’t fix this offense, it starts at QB. Just look at Vegas with Davonte Adam’s or the Titans Deandre Hopkins. Shit you can go back to Megatron, WRs only take you so far without elite QBs.

    • @MFBloosh
      @MFBloosh 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +16

      @@alexfroelich3404 Yeah, but then there's plenty of losses on his record where he was clutch at the end of the game, dating back to last season, and still lost because of other factors whether it was the defense allowing 30+ or whatever. Last years games like the Dolphins game, for example, should've been a W. No call PI on Chase Claypool to end that game. And as far as his fumbling problems are concerned, he still has an injured hand and yes, it has affected his ball handling "pause" in the pocket. And most QBs fumble when they get blindsided from behind too, so let's not act like that's not a problem for every QB. He hasn't been throwing INTs, he has 1500 total yards and 12 total TDs in his last 5 full games. To act like turnovers at the end of games is something that is only a Fields problem is crazy lol. As a Bears fan, I watched Rodgers throw a dozen game ending INTs while he was in Green Bay, but no one cared because the team was always good. Give the kid a good team. Poles is on the right track, and we will be even better if we get that HAUL for the number 1 pick.

      Other team's fans have realized how good Justin is, because he usually torches other teams. Especially the Lions, who surprisingly seem to be closeted Justin Fields fans lmao. But again, all these fan bases have seen what he can do to their defenses and how hard he is to game plan for. Dan Campbell has nightmares about it, which is a quote from him. Justin's peers and fellow players voted him as a top 100 player (82) before the year started for a reason. It seems like the people who don't like Fields are the ones who haven't watched the Bears play in years and just look at the records and go "it must be the QBs fault" as if there wasn't a dozen other issues with the team dating back to last season.

People in Chicago never have seen the Bears develop a QB, so they have no idea what the process is. Sometimes it takes a season. Sometimes it takes multiple seasons. But you don't give up on someone with that kind of talent and Justin has been balling out since before he got hurt. He honestly has saved his job at this point if you ask me, even though his job should've never been in jeopardy in the first place after the games he had last season. You are spot on! The media also wants to act like they need to move on from Justin to win, but had everyone forgotten last year was the year down. That’s when poles traded away Roquan Smith (which I didn’t really understand, and understood it even less when we gave a big contract to Tremaine Edmunds, but that’s another story) and Robert Quinn. We fully expected a 3-5 year rebuild, and this is technically year 1 of the build back up. Somehow during the tear down year Justin single handedly gave the Bears multiple chances to win all by himself running with the ball as they had 7 games within 1 pt of winning even with the defense giving up 30+ pts a game. The trade of last years number 1 pick did speed up the rebuild by getting picks and more importantly DJ Moore, but none wad expecting much from the Bears still this year. So why throw Fields away now. 3 more first round picks in exchange for this years number 1 pick would only speed the rebuild up even more. If the Bears decide to move on from Fields I gaurantee that will be what we look at as the moment the franchise set itself back into another decade of bad play.

    All this stuff going on is pure posturing. Kevin Warren going to games and writing stuff down in his little notebook? Dropping hints that Poles job is on the line? It's all an act. NE picks at 2 and wants a QB. Cards pick at 3 and would love MHJ. Make everyone think the Bears will move on from Fields. Or will they keep Fields and build more around him? Keep everyone guessing and make them over pay for that #1 pick. Or keep pick #1 and draft any number of blue chip players. The Bears KNOW what they're doing. My bet is they run it back with JF1 and continue to build around him.

    I'd prefer trading down the #1 pick for a haul (or for a little and still snag MHJ), then draft a tier 2 QB somewhere in the mid 1st round to 3rd round (i.e. Michael Penix in the late 1st/early 2nd). Then develop both Penix and Bagent behind Fields. Always good to have more QB depth w/ concussion protocol and Fields' playstyle. We can always trade 1 of those QB's or something later on.

    There is a reason why fans want justin fields on their team (seahawks falcons etc) its bc he is better and has potential to grow. Bears fan seems too impatient. Remember fields went through 2 OC and 2 HC, no real role model and the coaches just dont understand him at all. Give him another year with a new OC (hopefully the OC doesnt call 23 screen plays in a game) that is able to use him properly.

    Fields is playing well? At times, but what about these stats? With 2 games remaining, Fields ranks (this year) -
    Completion Percentage - 27th
    Passing Yards Per Game - 23rd
    Passer Rating - 21st
    QBR - 22nd
    Interception Rate - 27th
    Sack Rate - 30th
    Most concerning? Tied for most 4th quarter interceptions (6). Justin could be in the playoffs if he had finished games like Denver, Detroit (there), and Cleveland. But he wasn't clutch in key moments.

    Luke Getsy continues to put JF1 in the extremely compromised situation of 'shotgun deep in the red zone'. ( those who do not understand football will not understand why this is not good). There are other positions to build around besides QB, drafting a QB is clearly not the answer for bottom teams, draft a qb when your team can win a handful of games without a good one. I'd use the whole first round getting elite WRs or whatever single position you would benefit the most from by greatly enhancing it's depth, then draft patches and replacements for other positions

    I agree 100%! The Bears and Ryan Poles would be idiots if they drafted Caleb Williams and moved on from Justin Fields if they want to keep their jobs. The Bears best chance to win a championship is to keep Fields and continue building around him. People keep judging Fields on wins and losses and they tend to forget that his first year as the starter he was on a team that was completely gutted and at the beginning of this season the team was decimated by injuries. Since he’s been back he has been getting better each game. They better not get rid of Fields. They’ll be signing their death tickets!

    By trading the pick you can get MHJ(to pair with DJ Moore and look at Fields' stats when throwing to Moore now double it lol) a top center and shore up the defense and offense along with your cap space. The biggest pro to picking Willaims or Maye is the contract situation. But it will just be the same problem of Williams/Maye throwing it to Moore and no one else being reliable lol or Getsy calling 4 fucking screen passes in a row in your 2 yard line

Use the first round pics and other pics to fill holes and improve the overall team and keep improving the team like other teams do. I bet Green Bay is not ready to move on from Jordan Love even if he struggles again next year and/or the year after that his 3rd year. there going to continue to improve the team around him defense and offense and devise a game plan around his strengths and develop him and still keep beating us unless we take a page outta that playbook, Mind you Not only Greenbay known this! Most teams cept us know. And if you know well I guess you know

  • @Will_Moffett
    @Will_Moffett 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

    For awhile I thought keep Fields because he's playing well and improving. Then it occured to me that it might be that most of what the Bears offense is able to do is because of DJ Moore. Some receivers can carry a team and he's one of them. Had we seen production from a wider array of targets I would say keep Fields. Given that DJ Moore can make anyone look good, I'm now indifferent to whether they tade Fields or not. Just keep DJ Moore and things gonna be alright.

    If we get # 1 overall: we should trade back to New England for #2 and #33 this year as well as a First rounder next year. That first round pick next year could easily be a top 5 overall w as bad of a roster as they have. Then we take MHJ @ 2. our second first round pick trade back and get best OL or edge player there. I feel like poles will go OL in draft and pick up edge in FA as he feels he can develop his own OL. I would take Jared verse in the mid first round to pair w Montez sweat and use the our capitol to sure up our other needs. Thoughts?

    It’s crazy how “experts” think drafting Caleb Williams… which is NOT an automatic hit like some say… is better than keeping this freak of an athlete with a laser beam arm AND getting another WR, OL, DL. You know, I was so against Fields, ready to see Williams, but Fields has stepped up massively in the last couple games. If he continues it, I keep him. And that defense is really clicking, and I have to give credit to Flus for that. I wanted Flus fired SO SO SO bad, but the defense is really making huge moves now, and its because of Flus. I get rid of Luke Getsy and find an OC that will improve Fields. Also, those picks are huge, and there is talented QBs coming in the next couple years, you get those picks. Bryce Young was "GENERATIONAL" and he's crap. You don't need each year's generational talent.

The other talk is just that talk or talking heads... He will move Fields for picks... I would like to see him keep Fields and draft one as the position is just that important for a teams success.. The other part Bears fans ignore is he is due to get paid sooner than a new rookie deal... I'm not ready to pay JF1 50 million a year yet either.... Man people are so in the moment they don't understand a damn rebuild. What the Bears 🐻 are doing is year 2 of a 5 year plan. Justin Fields is in his second year( Matt Nagy made his rookie year a red shirt), the comparison to Hurts and Allen is still alive just the sports media seems to think an entire top to bottom regimen change turns into an amazing team. Last year was us building cap and picks. What the 🐻 have the opportunity to do is do what the Cowboys did in the 90s and just stock picks. Justin has shown the growth I wanted to see in year 2. Next year is going to be fun. H.I.T.S. culture is Chicago Bears culture and building a genuine culture takes time. Ryan Poles and Matt Eberflus are on the same page and everyone is going to hear the I told you so by mid season 2024.
