i lived in Asheville, was on the radio there for a couple years 2015. i drove the parkway from Weaverville to AVL every day. U must of mentioned Uzbekistan somwhere on your site cuz i could of told u you were Polish! I also lived next door in Hungary way back 1983
@@PeterChoyce i saw the news that Blue Ridge Parkway is closed indefinitely.. how sad to local businesses too for all the tourists that wont come through and spend money:/ heartbreaking stuff
i have been doing a lot of posting on my popular social media about all the devastation caused by the hurricane. I wanted to show people what the parkway used to be so i am happy to have come across your excellent video and from there i went to the Faroe Islands with u. Thanx for being such a tremendous guide
It is so heartbreaking what has happened to Asheville and all the surrounding cities 💔 I hope they will come back from this and that this video will serve as a reminder how beautiful that area is
@@PeterChoyce nooo. I’m Polish 🇵🇱 it’s funny you should mention Uzbekistan because I am deciding on taking a trip to Kyrgystan/Uzbekistan next year or China
Ashville is on my bucket list to explore the art and foodie scene. A great video to get me inspired for summer travels!! I would much rather walk in the forest than the Vegas strip.
You know, next month, I’ll be right up there around Grandfather Mountain and Linville Wilderness. Unfortunately I will not have time to explore Asheville because I planned to do way too many hikes! That will be trip for the very near future, I hear great things about Asheville
They e since removed this crash site and debris because of the concerns over the number of injuries and people being lost trying to find this. You got to see it just in time.
@brianchapman5539 I definitely consider myself lucky! It’s a bummer but totally understandable.. people go out searching for things they have no business. Unprepared, without a map, so this was a smart decision to discourage people
I hope you enjoyed this video from the Blue Ridge Parkway, it is an incredible place with many beautiful overlooks! Have you ever driven this road?
For me it had to have been the fire tower lookout!

That Blue Ridge Parkway is stunning, you really had some crazy weather I noticed, from beautiful views to almost no visibility!
My plan is to drive through the entire 470 mile stretch, making videos along the way, and ultimately make a comprehensive video of the entire drive!
This was another one thst was fantastic, Luke. Nice touch mentioning the plane crash people!
Thanks for watching! Someone in the comments mentioned that they had removed the plane wreck

Great video! What time of year did you visit?
In August!
Very cool! Love this area. Where is that plane crash site?? Would love to check that out
It’s around the waterrock knob visitor center, it’s an off shoot of a hike!
