Awesome video dear Nigel!!! Thank you so much for this one. Just want to share that I've literally just taken up the tenor two days ago!!! Feeling mega excited about learning this absolutely divine instrument and making 2025 a mega musical year full of deep joy!! I will most definitely be following your videos on the tenor saxophone very closely now, there's a whole world of gorgeous music to embrace and enjoy!! Thank you so much hun. God bless you and yours, and I wish you a very Happy 2025. 🤩
Thank you Very, Very Much for posting this tutorial my friend. This is one of my favorite Safe tunes. Until now, I figured bit out myself by ear, but hadn't played it in a while. So, I decided to search TH-cam for the Sade recordings, and videos, and I came across your video. Now, I am more than excited. Great video instruction, my friend! Thank you again! Kudos! Check it Out! Ciao!!!
I’ve actually made lessons on this inside my Sax School Members Area which cover the entire solo with an “easy” and “original” version. You can get started with membership here: www.mcgillmusic.com
Depends on the brand Michael. Also good to remember that a good repairer can sort most issues on any sax. Check out this article for some more suggestions: saxschoolonline.com/articles/buying-a-beginner-saxophone/
Hi +Alex gear solid . Absolutely not. I have thousands of students much older than you! The most important thing is to just get started and enjoy playing. I'd suggest checking out a free 30 day trial to my Sax School and see if it suits you.

I think the second solo is played with alto.
Nope. Watch Sade live. He plays altissimo on the solo on tenor.
Is it possible to find somewhere this version of audio track as instrumental without sax, please?
What is the best Sax to start with as a beginner and what's the best brand?
I saw some at the pawn shop, is that a good place to buy a Sax? Thanks!

I have to have it down by Wednesday, as I have gig, fun
+Dryfield3 Awesome! Go for it!
When playing on the alto sax as opposed to tenor should the same notes be played
Good question. It must be transposed 2 1/2 steps below tenor for it to sound right. So a D on tenor is an A on alto.
@@markklinefelter9263To clarify, that means it's played in G flat major, step by step even transposition
is it too late to start from the start in learning how to play the sax. im 30 years old. thanks
