i have a question , concerning the difference between the Slice and PDU session ? what are the metrics to evaluate a QoS flow ? how for a subscriber can check that the operator are note violate the requirement in the SLA ?
1. PDU session is basic pipe for user data flow. 2. Within a PDU session, there will be one default QoS flow and there may be more GBR and or NGBR QoS flow added as required. 3. Slices are end to end division of network resources for a specific service. Point 1 and 2 will be within slice also. 4. I have not seen any metric accessible to user on QoS. If you know it, pl share.
can u give a reference about the concept u mentioned in your video related to how many slices a user can access simultaneously in network slicing.IS this limit is defined by 3GPP standards or by other governing body
What is the benefit for a Ue of simultaneous registration to more than one slices ? In any case, a Ue can register and use all Allowed s-NSSAIs in a specific TA, without the need of simultaneous registration. Is it correct ? Thank you Mr Kumar
In the case of RAN Slicing, we have group of slices in a TA, UE can access slices in a group at a time. That group of slices will have common AMF for the specific UE. This needs simultaneously registering in gp of slices.
In case that UE does not provide requested NSSAI during registration on Serving PLMN or HPLMN then UE will be provisioned with default Configured NSSAI.Correct ?
Great presentation. Covered all releases of 3GPP. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for your videos. I have a little diverging question. In 5G, is there still this hexagonal frequency usage plan to avoid interference?
Freq reuse factor is 1, means same spectrum can be used by neighbour cells.
Hexagon coverage is because of radiation pattern and not due to 4G and 5G.
thanks for this session. wonderfully explained.
Most welcome!
In case of NR Carrier Aggregation for eMBB, the aggregated frequencies should support the same slice for eMBB.Correct? Thank you
Intresting aspect...need to explore

8 slices ...defined by 3GPP
Thank you for your work :)
My pleasure!
Is Slice specific authentication assigned optionaly to a slice by an operator ? Thank you
Yes as per policy of operator
Sir please make a videos about 5g radio spectrum,5g channel model and 5g use cases and system concept
The course is available on the channel. May see the play list

Is Nssf or AMF of HPLMN responsible for the mapping of Configured NSSAI to Subscribed NSSAI ?Thank you Mr Kumar
AMF may ask NSSF as required.
In case that UE does not provide requested NSSAI during registration on Serving PLMN or HPLMN then UE will be provisioned with default Configured NSSAI.Correct ?
During initial registration, NSSAI provided by UE is used by gNB to select AMF serving the requested NSSAI.
In case UE does not provide, AMF selects default AMF
During registration response msg to UE, allowed NSSAI is provided back to UE.
Hope it clarifies
thanks for detailed session...
Always welcome
