If you want to play a great racing game that’s about drifting and racing on the highway. It’s called racing battle c1 gran prix. Was one of the last games they made next to ITC for the 360
11:08, I disagree a bit with you Dustin ^^' For having played the game many many times, I would say that one of the best way to start this game is to buy an AE111 Levin/Trueno from the new car dealership. For the first special events, like you've probably seen, you'll need a NA car for stage 1 (Hakone and Hiroshima), and a FF car for stage 2 (Haruna, Akagi, and Ura Rokko). The AE111 can do both, plus this car is fast and relatively cheap. So you can complete the NA challenge first, reach the level needed for the FF Challenge, then convert your AE111 to Turbo to do the FF challenge and the Turbo Festa when it appears without needing to change your car ;)
Racing Battle: C1GP was made by Genki RP too, it was based on best motoring, and feature circuit and wangan racing, both Kaido Battle 3 and C1GP are my favorite PS2 racing games, KB3 physics are just too good, better than GT4 were

Thanks for the list. Noob here: If TXR: Drift 2 is the best Touge game, what is the best " Wangan" Racing game, alot of people say TXR3 or is there something better that came later?
@@Rockport1911 I would say both 01 and X are equally the ultimate experience for it's avalailable console platform, personally if you have any experience on upkeeping a JDM platform you will learn to appreciate ITC/ X more for the in depth details like actual real life parts from the aftermarket rendered within the engine bay, the sounds also matches all the different parts as you upgrade your car.
Plot wise, make sure you play street supermercy first before starting your journey from ITC, all the roster changes will start making sense after the mad scramble to fill in the power vaccum left by the final boss's defeat in TXR 3.
Ive always been a fan of touge and genki and all that jazz, so txrd2 was one of the first ever genki games i played, but thanks to my pc's specs it only ever ran at 30% speed, glad to see you covrering it Dustin!
this title is misleading for me as I've been playing this game since around launch and I've loved it so much the whole time. criminally underrated
Quite a pity the Shutokou/Kaido Battle saga ended up in a short-lived smartphone game.
Please also do the Japanese-only C1 Grand Prix-it's more like colliding Shutokou and Kaido Battle together, but stages are set in not just expressway but also circuits like Tsukuba.
This game deservers a fan translation as soon as possible.
My favorite game of all time, and feels fantastic on a wheel. This is one game every touge fan must play.
Tokyo Xtreme Racer one and two were one of my most favorite games on Playstation growing up. These games got me into cars.
Hakone has always been my favorite map from battle gear. I had the course memorized at one point lol.
I just love how Kaido Racer Chain Reaction had cars like DeTomaso Vallelunga and Renault 21
Kaido racer 2 was my childhood weekend touge racing simulation for such a long time
If you want to play a great racing game that’s about drifting and racing on the highway. It’s called racing battle c1 gran prix. Was one of the last games they made next to ITC for the 360
I have this game and now I’m gonna play it from scratch all over again!
11:08, I disagree a bit with you Dustin ^^'
For having played the game many many times, I would say that one of the best way to start this game is to buy an AE111 Levin/Trueno from the new car dealership.
I miss these old Kaid Battle games. Still have part 1 and 2 in my PS2 hard drive. Great OST in both of them too
Genki also made D1GP ps2 game its like the most accurate drift game like in real life
That was made by Yuke's instead of Genki, as far as I know
Racing Battle: C1GP was made by Genki
RP too, it was based on best motoring, and feature circuit and wangan racing, both Kaido Battle 3 and C1GP are my favorite PS2 racing games, KB3 physics are just too good, better than GT4 were
I knew from the thumbnail it was TXRD2. I've played it so much its up there with ACE COMBAT 04 and the PS2 NFS games.
Hardly anyone knows about the Kaido games made by Genki. Very nice vid man
I have so many playthroughs in this game. It was and still is my most played game ever. It's still in my PS2 right now. I've always been an Initial D fan and this game was a great alternative to spending money playing the Initial D arcade machines.
Eden: It's a drift game, why should we start with a fwd car?? Sounds like a terrible idea! 😂
Also Eden: *gets a fwd car anyway*
Classic mistake of many content creators that brings this game for the first time. The second is complain about the handling model without learn to understand the physics.
@@Drift4Drifters plus their rookie mistake is not to modify the tires/wheels to make the rear end less grippy
@@adlibbed2138 hmmmm i try not upgrade my tires while i can, but i never used different tires in front and back. Interesting. Would be like set different pressure of calibration.
I'd love to see more of this game, really hoping for another episode.
If it doesn't happen, Ill play it myself
Actually Im old enough to have put many hours into TXR Zero. Its really that game that got me into the JDM scene and Tokyo underground racing scene in Japan. Me and My bayside blue R34 GTR were wangan legends haha
Its been 15 years and I still play this and Chain Reaction
The latest game they made is Import Tuner Challenge on I think the Xbox 360 only, its AMAZING man
Where's the drift part? 😅
This is still my absolute favorite racing game on PS2, and would be my favorite racing game of all time were it not for Ridge Racer Type 4.
All I'd need for a remaster would be:
- Better translation for menus
- Better UI
- remove the gravel sections on the tracks
Would love to see more of this game!
Games like this Aare what make the 6th console gen so much fun to revisit.
absolutely the biggest generation for budget racing games
