- Marmalade survived cancer last year … So for his 2nd birthday we decided to go BIG!
We gathered together all of his favorite things - Laundry basket, office chair, toilet paper, boxes, catnip, purse (which he likes to sleep in), trashcan (that he likes to hide in), tissue paper, cat DVD, new cat toys and to finish off a fish shaped birthday cake!
The boys had a blast! Thank you so much to everybody who supported us during Marmalade's illness, we have the BEST fans!!

I love how Marmalade sits on his little blankie in the end.
Toilet Paper, Boxes, the purse that Marmalade sat in, the garbage can, the laundry bin, some cat trees, the swivel chair, and the catnip. If some random person stared at this, they would think "What a mess!" But you know your cat's heaven really well. Cole and Marmalade are lucky to have such good kitty parents :)

I'm so glad his treatment worked! My husband survived with surgery and radiation and is now 3 years cancer free. Keep up the good work guys!

CateSimulate yes it was, he have had a stroke on sunday. The vet tried to help him with some meds and vitamines, but yesterday it I couldn't take it anymore. Piwi died in the arms of my boyfriend.

Nadia Fierens I'm so sorry you lost your Piwi. At home is the best way for them to go because they are with their loved ones and there wasn't any stress of having to go to the vet. Losing them is never easy. It just tears your heart out. God bless!

+Lydia Lekas I was crazy over cats since infancy, I am told - am well over 50, and haven't been "cured" yet! Cats are the perfect creatures (of course the ancient Egyptians knew that, didn't they?)

And an epic video too. I liked the "experimentation" in the second half. And I really hope Marmalade has defeated cancer for good. Just have him checked regularly and he'll live a looong and happy life, I am sure of that.

My cats (Tigger and Shadow) watched this with me and now they are jealous of all the things Cole and Marmalade have and are expecting me to go get it (at least that is what I think they are telling me when they starting crying at me). Looks like I am heading to the store to stock up on goodies for the boys (its not even their b-day either). :)

I love how cats can be so alike yet so different. We had a cat that would "cry" when we left or went to sleep. The "cry" was very distinctive. Also, she'd carry around this "lucky rabbit's foot" toy that we called her baby and you could tell when she'd be crying and have it in her mouth. Often times when arriving home or waking up you'd find her wet "baby" at the door or someplace other than where you saw it last because she carried it there. It was her security blanket.
I love Cole and Marmalade. They make me miss my cats so much. I also love that you guys seem to put your cats above all else. That's how it goes when you truly love cats. They own their people. Lol Your boys have such personality. Happy Birthday Marmalade and so glad you're doing well!

I'm so glad that we aren't the only nut jobs who do things like this for our kitties. We can't have kids, so the kitties really ARE our children!
Those are some very happy kitties, you guys sure went all out to entertain them. I mean toilet rolls just for them to play with? Also what is that black stuff you sprinkle for them? Pepper?
Catnip! Not all cats react to it but Marm and Cole do.

I seem to remember Chris doing a Big Cat Rescue video about the scents the keepers used in the toys for the big cats. I could be wrong but I thought ground pepper might be one of them.
And anyway, it looked like pepper. No big deal really.
The first time I saw someone give catnip to their cat I instantly thought of it being some type of drug for cats XD
Razzman Khaliff Now pepper would be kind of mean, lol! It's catnp. I grow it in my back yard. What I should say is that catnip has taken over my back yard. I put a few plants in and now I have catnip growing all over, lol! That's okay, we have 3 cats.

Awww Marmalade was all "hello? 😿" when everyone was gone. So cute!!
So, there was a street cat that was coming to our house everyday and i was so scared of cats but by the time we growed closer and closer she can't come to the house because she is dirty but she can come to the kitchen and my maid's room. My cat is very happy since she gets to explore outside and outside the kitchen (where she most stays) we put her water just incase if we didn't know that she came... But now im her favorite!!

Don't feel them too much tuna, it's high in mercury, and thus carcinogenic.
Not to mention the video is from a year ago!
A bigger problem with tuna is (unlike just about any other meat or fish) low in taurine, which is like a vitamin to cats. Too little taurine in their diet leads to irreversible eye and heart damage.
Tuna-flavour tinned cat food is OK because, like all the other tinned cat food flavours, it's only about 4% named stuff and 96% mystery stuff (but the mystery stuff has plenty of taurine, so that's OK).
Actual tuna is OK once a year. OK once a month. Probably OK once a week. If it's once a day (and you give them two meals a day) that's going to be really bad for them.
Been a fan right from the start . Was so sad to hear that Marm was ill. But he kicked cancer's butt...and he is amazing ! We have six of our own..Thank God all in good health. Five black,one big fat grey and white guy .All rescues from bad situations . We adore them all and couldn't picture our lives without them in it . And I know that cat party was a cat paradise ...lol So glad Marm is doing great . Stay healthy ..everyone!
