Dear, I can not thank you enough! I want to make this as a wedding sign and just add our initials and the date. You just clarified all the doubts I had. Thank you so much ❤❤
Thank you for explaining each step of the process. Also for explaining the difference between the plaster and joint compound. I am thoroughly inspired by your work and I am excited to make my first wall art.
This is absolutely beautiful art piece, thank you for taking your time and sharing your art and techniques. I really enjoyed so much. I would like to try
Thank you for making this video. It is so easy to follow and you are very thorough. I am trying to make one for my house. I used plaster bandage on the wire mesh. Waiting for it dry. I was planning on applying plaster tomorrow but I just read the comments about using medical gauze and wood glue to avoid cracking. Now i am worried. Is there anything I can do to prevent cracking at the end? I am making 30in x 40in art
hi! thank you so much! use some varnish as a final layer. this final layer should seal the sculpture painting. also, be careful when you move around the painting. it should be fine if you handle it carefully.
@@ateliermico thank you so much for your respond. I have one more question - I plan on using water based acrylic paint on top of plaster and then varnish on top. can I use liquitex varnish gloss or get the krylon crystal clear glaze? I want to have shiny effect to the art.
Hi! Thank you so much for this video your work is amazing! Just a few technical questions. How many layers of joint compound do you apply and how many times do you let it dry between each layers? And to varnish you work do you use spray or liquid? Thank you again ❤
this is amazing, as I am a very colourfull painter do you recommend multiple layers of paint ? acrylic? or do you think it will be easily cracked etc? thank you for your videoo
Why did this work use gypsum gauze and water instead of woodworking glue medical gauze? It doesn't matter which one I choose to use? Is it just the difference between the drying time and the cost?😮😊❤
hello! the joint compound is not suitable for applying directly on the canvas. instead we recommend using modeling paste. check this link for our recommendation amzn.to/4byugdm
hello! yes it’s easier to use plaster bandages on a larger scale, but from our experience it’s better to use medical gauze + wood glue, because the joint compound will not crack.

hi! we apply 3 layers of joint compound and we let each dry for at least 24h. the varnish that we use is spray✨
this is amazing, as I am a very colourfull painter do you recommend multiple layers of paint ? acrylic? or do you think it will be easily cracked etc? thank you for your videoo
Hello! We recommend applying 2 layers of acrylic paint based on water, it won’t crack 🤍
Do you like the plaster bandages better than gauze and glue?
Yes, because it’s easier to apply them, but both have the same effect
Superb❤❤
Why did this work use gypsum gauze and water instead of woodworking glue medical gauze?
It doesn't matter which one I choose to use?
Is it just the difference between the drying time and the cost?😮😊❤
hi! it’s easier to use gypsum gauze + water, but there are more chances to crack at the end. so we would recommend using medical gauze + wood glue.
THANKS SO MUCH
The compund joint can be used directly onto de canvas?, or does it need any type of primer?, I mean for a tecnique without the wire mesh

May God bless you😅❤ Thank you!!! I really neaded this explanations❤

Why did you not use wood glue and medical gauze on this? Was it to big or what? Thanks 🙏🏻

If I want to go in with acrylic as the end result do I still need do use varnish after the acrylic
hey, if you use acrylic there’s no need for varnish. only if you want it to be more glossy, then you should apply glossy varnish
👌👏
