The next part of the video is basically Rita finally recognizing Keiji, we are shown Ritas backstory and how the mimics rely on “backups” to win their fights. Rita overcame her first mimic by taking down all the mimics backups and killing the “server” containing the mimics backups. Then Rita and Keiji share a special moment over real coffee (which im assuming is rare during their time). Then, the mimics invade their base, Keiji decides to unfortunately kill Rita to remove all the mimics backups since only one of them can make it out alive. After Keiji kills Rita, Keiji gets locked up for 3 days, then receives an award that was only given to Rita.
