Thank you Stacy for showing wigs in Red. I have hair the color of 27MB and it is a harder color to find and I love seeing what it looks like when worn. I love your website. New to wigs due to hair thinning. I could be your older sister since we have the same coloring and style. It is fun to find a channel I can relate too.
Yay! I’m so glad you found me! Let me know if you need any help or if you find a color you love that I need to know about. Our hair color is so hard to find in wigs!
Not, I’m your age and this is my favorite! Makes me feel good & looks good too. Honestly I’m searching for a second one in the same color,? I regret not buying 2
Thank you! I was really struggling with my hair loss but now I know that I have options that will look beautiful and you made me realize that I can have fun with wigs!!!
Thanks for this great information and advice Stacy. I’m a redhead like you and I’m new at this. I’m enjoying the honesty and perspectives of both you and Taz.
Thank you for your response. I am considering purchasing a Raquel Welch in either upstage crowd-pleaser on Maximum Impact I love all these wigs. Just not sure on the Reds. Was disappointed and seeing the fiery copper too much blond in the front. They have another red I think it's in Auburn but it might be too Brown. Again great job keep up the good work :-)
Deborah Luongo Thank you! I know it...that dang blonde stripe in the front. Raquel Welch has some of the prettiest colors so I was pretty shocked with that one. I’m sure you’ll find one you love. I love Glazed Strawberry but it’s probably lighter than you’re looking for.
Love your review on these wig I finally found someone that is reviewing red wigs. I am a medium copper red having a very hard time finding the right red. You are Red's look like they are more of a strawberry Red if you are familiar with Envy I purchased my first wig Dakota in light red lots of compliments still not the right red I am more red than strawberry but I do love it and I do wear it. Please continue reviewing the red wigs I will continue to watch. Maybe you could wear them outside in the natural light that's always the best way to tell the color of Reds just a suggestion :-) wonderful reviews God bless!
Deborah Luongo Yay, Deborah! That exact reason...very few reds get reviewed...is why I started my channel. Glad you are here. I will definitely take your advice and get some outside time!
Science Fiction Double Feature Hi there! I’m glad you’re here! Reds are hard! Ignite and Kristen are both lace front with open cap wigs. Ignite is heat friendly, has a slightly different shape and a little shorter. (I do not own Ignite so I looked it up)
My first wig was donated by a local hospital. Genny by Envy. I knew absolutely nothing about wigs and the choices were few. It was gray and short and so was my hair sooo the stylist chose it for me. I would select it again in a different shade because I liked the easy wear and the monotop ut it has been discontinued. Wig number two was a mid length blonde Paige boy with bangs... the way I used to wear my hair. NUmber three is Sky by Noriko 💙 in shaded creamy toffee . Next was Trendsetter by RW in shaded cappuccino ( hubby fav). FINALLY I lucked in to a wig shop while on a trip to the Cleveland Clinic two weeks ago and I found my absolute fav...Eve by JR in shaded peach. I LOVE everything about it and have become spoiled. The shop was much pricier than on line but being able to try on colors and styles and feel the fibers was well worth making a contribution ( and I made notes 🤫). I also returned two wigs online during the process. One of my former styles was not flattering on this 60+ face and one color was way too harsh. It really is a process
Sally Summerfield I love reading about your wig journey! Thank you for sharing. ❤️ I agree about the wig shop and buying from them. I bought from the first wig shop I went to as well. It’s tough because, you’re right, they are more expensive but I also want them to stay in business because we need them!
I just came across your Channel. You look lovely in the strawberry blonde colors. Not a color for me though, LOL. It doesn't match my skin tone. I appreciate how you showcased five wigs in the different styles. You did a great comparison of them. My favorite is Chloe. I love lots of hair. You can tell I grew up in the 80s, LOL. Thank you for sharing!
Stand Thank you! I’m glad you’re here and thanks for commenting. :) I grew up in the 80’s too and longed for thick, big hair! My hair has always been super fine and thin. Yet I still permed it within an inch of its life! Haha!
@@WearWigswithMe you're welcome. :-) I think we all were trying to get our hair as high as we could, LOL. Unfortunately, my hair has thinned out over the years, but I will always love big hair.😎
So what is your skin tone , cool or warm ? And what are the color tones of your wigs , cool or warm ? Thanks so much for the advice and sharing how everything going on made you feel. You captured all my emotions I still go through trying to find wigs online . I don't live in an area that has wig stores . I've found that the computer monitors just don't capture if a wig tone is actually cool or warm . Figuring out my skin tone was the first step . Now throw rosacea in the current skin issues plus hair loss and the tears are pretty close to the surface. So the wrong tone in the wig makes the skin look redder . Returning wigs adds more emotions to the situation . I don't wear makeup so I can't fix it with makeup like people on you tube . I've been getting wigs for over 10 years online and the color tone thing is just what I figured out this last month . Plus I will be 63 in December and now I am seeing my face looks a bit thinner . So it's baseball hats and sunscreen for every occasion. Every wig so far is scratchy and itchy . I own Rachel welsch , jon renaeu, Paula young and noriko. The wigs are from 150 -300 dollars. I have wig cap liners that are scratchy, I bought a bamboo wig liner that is better. The bald Barbie gal on you tube I think she has mimo wigs ? Maybe her name is Michelle Moffat? Not sure . Her experience has also been helpful . That product IT STAYS is awesome . I also watch Taz, Heather from Cyster Wigs and Sugar Puff and Fluff . I love Mary Ellen after 60 and Tammy Ageless Beauty . It's a journey that's for sure . Take care and have fun!
Brenda Aesoph Thank you for sharing! ❤️ I have a warm complexion and feel most comfortable in warm hair colors. I lean toward “golden” colors in the red family. I just bought a wig in the color Fiery Copper by Raquel Welch and it’s very pretty but getting a little on the cool side of red for me. My natural hair color is strawberry blonde. As I’ve gotten older, it’s starting to get more Auburn. I agree that computer monitors make colors look different. We watch all the same people on You Tube! I have learned so much from all of those ladies.
It's interesting that you say Estetica's Aspen is comfortable for a possible large head. I've been reluctant to order it because most reviews say it's not big head friendly. My head is 33". Ive been admiring Aspen for a year... I so want to try her.
angieacapella Everyone’s tolerance for fit is probably different. My head is 22.5” so if yours is almost 10 inches bigger, you may not feel the same as I do. Thank you for watching and commenting!
Wow! You have lost weight since your first video and look amazing! I will tell you what makes your videos more appealing to me at least, is the side bar comments. Scoot over! I wrote you on a prior video and still haven't made the plunge to purchase. So many choices, colors, styles, prices and sites I start getting burned out on my research. Thank you so much for the series and I am so happy you are going to continue. Happy Holidays
Stacy, I have a question for you. First of all, thank you for your great videos! It has taken me nearly 10 wigs to find one that truly feels like me and it is the Mia in Mimosa HL. Now, though, I am a bit afraid to try anything else! I would like to find more that feel this comfortable and that are similar, or even a straighter version. What do you suggest? My head circumference and face shape and size and neck seem similar to your measurements. I have a couple of wigs that are from Tony of Beverly, a couple from Gabor, and one that is Hairdo (?)... plus toppers. I began this journey because my hair is graying, but it has always also been somewhat thin. Mia is the way I always wanted my hair to be, but I also wear my natural hair straight at times as well. Thanks in advance. I LOVE your energy and the way you present the different wigs! Thanks for what you do!
Hi Sandra! Mia is such a great style! Have you checked out Finn (I have a review on that one also). Very similar to Mia but a little more casual. I feel like Mia is the fancy sister to Finn. Minka by Jon Renau is another one of my all time favorites these days, as is Ocean. Oh, Radiant Beauty! That's a good one by Gabor.
What kind if tripod microphones and mic are you using. I have done some wig reviews and could use some input. I do not have your natural beauty but have the passion in wanting to educate about and encourage others to get a wig because hair loss is such a downer to womens self esteem.
Great questions! I will always share whatever I am using. I think it's great you make videos, I'll go check out your channel! Ok...I use my iPhone XS Max (After looking at the cost of a DSLR vs upgrading my iPhone, it was cheaper to get the iphone and I can use it for way more stuff than just videos/photos), my tripod is www.amazon.com/gp/product/B018ICYNKY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 . I tried out a lav mic www.amazon.com/gp/product/B016C4ZG74/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and while I like it, I like my Heil micwww.amazon.com/PR-40-Dynamic-Studio-Recording-Microphone/dp/B000SOYOTQ on a boom better. It's left over from my short and unsuccessful career in voice over (haha!) For lighting, I use two soft boxes www.amazon.com/gp/product/B017D7W57S/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1. Hope that is helpful! I am always a work in progress. I'm still not happy with my color but I think the color of my walls need to change. There is always something!! ;)
ive had no hair for 30 years and i still just have no self esteem in respect to wigs. I have been buying HH wigs that loose their luster and shape within a year so now ive turned to synthetic. it takes me 2 months before I'll even wear the new one I just bought. I just have the hardest time?
Janet McCarthy Thank you for sharing, Janet. I feel like there is less stigma around wigs NOW then 30 years ago, although it’s still there. I think the way you are feeling is normal for someone that started wearing wigs 30 years. You are not alone, based on other comments I have read from people. But, SO MANY people wear wigs these days that no one is even going to bat an eye at you wearing a wig. WEAR YOUR WIGS, GIRL!
