- SANGAM is the annual global music festival of Shankar Mahadevan Academy.
It brings our diverse community of students, teachers, affiliate partners and staff from around the world
to celebrate our mission - the Joy of Music!
It gives our students an opportunity to perform in front of their teachers and the maestro, Shankar Mahadevan.
It sets a platform to watch senior artistes perform, to interact and share knowledge, and to have several moments of fun with music.

Shankar Mahadevan Academy was founded in 2011 by Bollywood singer and composer, Shankar Mahadevan and technology entrepreneur, Sridhar Ranganathan to bring Indian music education to the masses. Shankar Mahadevan Academy (SMA) is the first school for Indian music in the world to bring high quality Indian music education through live, online classes.
Our mission is to spread the Joy of Music.
As of 2021, we have students in over 80 countries, as young as 2.5 to 92 ! We have conducted 200,000+ live, online classes and continue to offer live, online classes 24X7 with our expert instructors. I hope it should have been conducted in govts schools or college or music colleges with people who really cannot afford to learn,Instead of conducting in Taj vivanta.am not against you sir. But your presence in ordinary location will inspire many people to learn classical music.
Sangeet cannot be purchased . Govt. schools don't have music teaching facility . So Sankarjee is doing the great job . Namaskaaram .
