Not sure what you’re talking about man. There’s a whole market for abstract beats and hip hop lyricists. Several artists have done way more in sound design than this. This is a a pretty straight early 00’s beat, with a bit more emphasis on a darker atmosphere. Reminds me of older busta rhymes and method man’s album he did on bad boy, forget the name but it had that say what song on it with missy elliot. Dope as beat. Demon ft Ill chill, moody good ft Joshua idehen & rejjie snow - grumbles and sparkles, dope dod from holland, I am legion, foreign beggars, there are heaps more from the underground scene that work within abstract beats and hip hop. I certainly love it and write my own stuff, quite a bit heavier than this but very inspired by the 80-100 bpm range hip hop. Half time drum and bass also has a very nice emphasis on groove being majority around the 172-176 bpm range. Subjective of course to the listener but as a hip hop and metal head, it certainly appeals to me and others. This beat is very nice. Also has an ivy lab sound to it. Great production
Another artist worth the notable mentioning is Bus Driver, the album in particular im thinking of has the word electricity in it and a picture of what I’m assuming is a younger aged version of the artist on the album cover. Have a go at his productions. Outstanding. Very left field and jazz. Another artist worth the mention with same calibre material is Clipping. Another fantastic band/artist
Yo, let me add another Hopsin caliber name to your list if you don't mind. If you don't already know the name Marlon Craft just peep his initials, MC. Searching Marlon Craft albums is a good time by itself, but the best advice I got is find his TH-cam channel, click videos, click on Oldest, and watch the evolution of him as an artist all the way up to present day. Present day? His latest video is a collab with Method Man called "Muggsy Bogues." MC x Logic "Keep Being You" MC x Oswin Benjamin "Jesus Shuttlesworth" MC x Bobby Feeno "Way Too Much" Bottom line if you see somebody featured on a Marlon Craft joint check that guy out too, they might not have that many but what IS there is gold. Like yo, who tf is using George Carlin samples in their beats? Jay Lonzo x Marlon Craft "American Dream" is the only answer I know. Radio appearances on Bars on I-95, On The Radar, Funk Flex, Sway's Universe like 4 or 5 times shit I lost count. Skinny kid eating, the son of a jazz musician so songs like "The Static" is clear evidence throughout. If you're like me and you don't sleep on Hopsin, don't sleep on Marlon Craft either...💯
And Hopsin if you're reading this, do the same thing I told juggernaut. Don't just stop at finding him on TH-cam tho, link up. I know both of you at least through your music, in my opinion you would mesh very well together. M.O.A.B. music...🔥🔥🔥

Honestly, it was dope. Doesn't feel right for me to drop it without asking and giving credit where it's due.

You don't know anything about music and it's history with that dumb statement
