Love these videos. It's like sitting down with your trusted techy friend and asking "What's the difference between the S22+ and the S23+?" Straight forward, honest, conversational, and no sensational bs.
Obviously you have plenty of money so you can just upgrade every year or someone paid for your device nothing to fill bad about but at the end of the day you are not getting that much better a device you just get longer battery life and the Gen 2 processor all is cool with that I'm using the s22+ somehow my device really gets not two days but only one day and maybe just a few moor hours and all I've got to do is plug my 45 wat charger in and that pretty much it !
@@sisadiliza2008I can get hours of gameplay out of my phone on upscaled emulators and call of duty on my s23+. It never really heats up at all and when it does, the phone adapts and cools down after about 15 mins.
Just got the s23+. I like the form factor, flat display, and don't need the s-pen and the size is more favorable compared to the ultra. Was able to get a decent promotion with my carrier. I noticed another reviewer mentioned the 23 plus was $850usd which is a really good deal if the prices have gone down in the USA recently, but I agree at $1000usd it isn't as enticing.
Glad to hear you’re enjoying it and got a good deal. Maybe there is a sale I don’t know about but it hasn’t had a permanent price drop. I think at $799 and under it’s a good phone to grab.
I bought the 23 ultra and didn't like the size or the corners on the phone. I dont ever use the spen either. I took it back and ended up going with the plus and really like it
I just bought my wife an S22 plus renewed for 300 bucks through Amazon (renewed). Looks and performs like a new phone. in three years, I will upgrade to an S25 plus
I gave up on the Plus this year after Samsung did not make the S23 Plus with LTPO Display or a least QHD+ Display. I traded in the S22 Plus for the S23 Ultra this year but I prefer the S23 Plus design any day. I just can't understand why phone manufacturers do not make a smaller android phone with LTPO Display, Telephoto Camera and the Fastest Chip available. If I ever find a smaller phone with big phone flagship specs I will leave Samsung for good. Word!

@Iamveryhappy If you're not a gamer or don't watch too much videos on your phone, the battery shouldn't be a problem for you. But people who do what I said notice differences on the battery life and feel the S22 series burnt too much the battery.
How is the battery life on the s22+ honestly? I can’t seem to find a certain answer to it. If the battery life is satisfactory on the s22+, I might just buy it because it’s hundreds of dollars cheaper than the s23+.
I had a s22+ and for me the battery was ok, not bad but certainly it could be better. It all depends on your usage. For example, on my workdays I was able to get around 30-40% after 12-14h of usage and between 4 and 5 hours of screen on, that with occasional gaming. During weekends and when I had heavier usage due to my gaming sessions the battery burned faster, and many times I needed to recharge it after about 7 hours. In other words if you are not playing so much in the s22+ you can easily get at least one day of battery, maybe one day and a half, but as soon as you start to play games, using GPS or the camera then you can expect the phone to die sooner of course. That said, I've got the s23+ and the battery is much better. Now on my work days I end around 60% of battery remaing (against the 30-40 in the s22). Also I noticed that the battery drain during my gaming sessions really was improved, also when using GPS I noticed a lower battery consumption. So yeah the new phone has better autonomy but it is expensive. I was lucky to get a good discount due to the trade in. Anyway, if you don't mind having less autonomy then it's fine to buy the s22+ now that is cheaper. Or you could wait until the s23 price drops and get a better phone overall. Hope I helped.
Adam, have you checked your S23 Plus camera to see if you have the blurry picture issues that many are reporting? I’d like to get the phone but I’m worried about this issue and that some are saying it’s actually a hardware defect with the main lens being “decentered” , as they’re calling it.

@@MrOldskool1974 I actually noticed this too. If you use manual focusing on pro mode it seems to fix this blur issue for me. This has been going on since the s22 series and thats because of laser auto focus.
@@farasty7371 so that makes me wonder if it’s actually hardware or software? I have no idea how these cameras and lenses work, and I don’t pretend to. Just got a s23+ for $399 with s22+ trade in off of Samsung's website, coming in 6 days. The battery and heat were my deciding factors and the fact I got it $399 unlocked with the trade in. There can be in some cases. But usually no there isn’t.
Battery life and over heating is enough of a reason to upgrade. Over time the battery becomes damaged with that over heating.
