USB drive is Not Showing on TV | How to Solve the Problem USB drive working on TV

- We'll see in this video, Modern television sets enable consumers to watch videos and listen to music directly from their USB drives. Most USB drives are shipped in the NTFS file system by default. It appears that many TV brands do not support this type of format.
More often, you will need to format your USB device in FAT32 or exFAT as most TV sets require these file systems. Before you do so, be sure to transfer all the files stored in the USB drive to a backup location for later retrieval.
After you have done so, perform the following:
Plug the memory stick into a USB port on a computer that runs the Windows operating system.
Check if the drive has been detected and locate it in This PC.
Right-click the USB drive in question and click Format.
Click the File system dropdown menu to see the list of file systems available and choose FAT32 or exFAT.

The USB drive was formatted in FAT32 and the tv is not recognizing it. Have tried using VLC app. Ensured permissions were granted. Still can't get tv to recognize the usb stick. Another tv does recognize it but won't play the mp4. However that tv is very basic. Trying to get it to play on a tv that should play it.

On my new TCL Google TV, FAT32 doesn't work. When I formatted NTFS, works fine
Mine works but not all videos appear , i have 9 only 4 of them are shown . Whats the problem? They're all the same file type
If it is FAT32 OR exFAT32 and if the files are more than 4gb it will not show try NTFS

I have a panasonic smart tv the only usb drives it recognises are the usb pen drives i have films on laptop hardrives in enclosures fat32 formatted no such luck panasonic tv wont recognise them okay in the bedroom i have an alba tv/dvd combi with usb the same usb enclosure laptop harddrives work fine so it goes to show you a cheaper branded tv can be better than an expensive one 🙄
