    The story of Takayama Ukon was well known in my generation, on account that the story of Japanese Christians seeking refuge in the Philippines during the Tokugawa Shogunate, was taught as part of our PHILIPPINE HISTORY lessons at the time. Which explained why there is a Plaza in Paco named PLAZA DILAO in honor of the 600 plus Japanese Christians who settled and made a life in that part of Manila during the Spanish Era. Philippine History lessons must have changed greatly since our time.

      He's literally the type of guy who knows nothing about my country or about the Jesuits who came to my country who brought peace and spread the truth of the Gospel. He's also the type of guy that if you look up every single TH-cam video that talks about Christianity in Japan you'll find him criticizing the Jesuits and praising the Shogun for murdering Christians and calling them traitors just because they have a different faith. He literally has no life. To him I'm actually a traitor to my country just because I converted from Buddhism to the Roman Catholic Church of Christianity and he is literally not even Japanese.

      @@nahidbethehonoredone It does but will deny it out of fear of its critics using it as an excuse to call our faith a Synthesis faith with other religions. That is why you will hear some Catholics claim that holidays such as Halloween or The Day of the Dead originated within Catholicism when it actually was Pagan holidays that the Church integrated through changing some aspects such as which God to worship during this time as well as putting Christian Fundamentalist beliefs into the Holidays doctrine to make it more Christian. They did this to further convert those who refuse the Christian faith believing that it would show them how Christianity can work in any culture much like you said about how Christianity integrates itself with the cultures of the civilized world.

    Crusade Prayer (94) To cure the mind, body and soul
    Tuesday, January 15th, 2013 @ 22:50
    “O dear Jesus, I lay myself before You, weary, sick, in pain and with a longing to hear Your Voice.
    Let me be touched by Your Divine Presence, so that I will be flooded by Your Divine Light, through my mind, body and soul.
    I trust in Your Mercy.
    I surrender my pain and suffering completely before You and I ask that You give me the Grace to trust in You, so that You can cure me of this pain and darkness, so that I can become whole again and, so that I can follow the Path of Truth and allow You to lead me to life in the New Paradise.

      It's all right to consider Amakusa a local saint. But his canonization is a tricky matter for the Vatican because of the violent manner in which he professed his faith and led his followers to their deaths. His cult-like following is also a mark of contention, as well as his youth and a lack of the necessary number of official miracles attributed to his memory.

    Awesome... Only the pope doesn't declare anyone a saint nor does he have authority to "canonize". In the Bible, a saint is *anyone* in Christ, dead or alive. It's not some "earned" title given out by the Vatican but a supernatural transformation by the holy spirit. Study the Bible and the books it references. Ask Jesus to forgive and cleanse your sins with his blood and ask holy spirit to fill you up to overflowing. If you keep following the pope you will lose your soul.

    • @natnatnat3639
      @natnatnat3639 4 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      It takes a long time for a person to be declared a saint. When the Vatican declares someone a saint, they can not take the title away. Who says that you will lose your soul? A Pope has a certain authority over the church. Like a father and a mother has some type of authority over the household. But the Pope doesn't replace God in anyway.

    • @pamcatap2214
      @pamcatap2214 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      The authority of the church is also in the bible. Where authority given to the apostles as well. Pope as successor of Peter, holds that authority.
      The Catholic Church is the visible body of Christ that lead to Christ himself.

    • @Ioannes_Solis
      @Ioannes_Solis 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's actually correct and that's the same views that the church have: Any person who has the grace in work in them is a saint.
      So the church gives three distinction
      The saints on earth
      The saints on purgatory
      and the saints on heaven.
      So basically when the church Canonize someone as a saint it simply to CANONize/ to make in law. It is not to get them to heaven but to witness to the world that that person is truly a saint, and that God has truly indeed blessed him.

      Canonization is the recognition of one as a role model of Christian. I hope you learned more than this protestant propaganda after these two years...

    0:53 *This lady is full of shit! Takayama was never "king" he was just one of the many minor warlords, who would switch sides, betraying each other when its convenient regularly (Yes daimyos during the sengoku era are treacherous bastards who would stab each other in the back regularly so they'd keep their positions and expand their power) he later on served as one of Hideyoshi's generals against Akechi Mitsuhide (another bastard daimyo who betrayed Oda Nobunaga, ambushing him while he is resting that led to Oda's death). Takayama himself was later on the victim of other daimyos' power grab when Hideyoshi changed his mind about christians. Tokugawa Ieyasu later on had issues with christian daimyos because he was paranoid about the growing economic trade between christian foreign traders and christian daimyos so he conveniently declared that christian daimyos as enemies of Japan and so started a purge against all christians. Tokugawa confiscated Takayama's lands and awarded it to the other daimyos who supported his decision. Takayama Ukon, now in his 60's, was tired of the shit going on so he just decided to exile himself and leave for good. He died in the Philippines 2 months after arriving. Now, ignorant fools worship him like some motherfucking saint and I find that laughable. Imagine leaving your country coz youre just too tired of giving a shit anymore and you just want to find a quiet place to die and later on you find out people are now worshipping you. I hope Takayama is in heaven now showing jesus good quality hentai.*
