Anyone else see the heart on his rock wall? Take a look after he places that first rock. LOVE it!

The owner should have paid the price for corner pieces. It makes a huge difference in the look. I wouldn't spend so much time cutting all the pieces for an exact fit. Variation in the grout line width and filling in gaps with small stones makes a more realistic looking stone wall.

    Wheres your video?
First off, whats wrong with the scratch coat? Everyone does it different. I used a notched trowel for mine, but I know many guys in my area that just put it on like plaster. Too each their own as long as they get the required thickness per manufacturer's spec's.
Second, maybe the homeowner didnt want to spring for expensive corners. I've had to do it before. Its not fun, and you do what you can with what you got.

      VERY cool.
How do you break into his trade and learn to do rock work? I dream of creating rock gardens, pathways, walls; surfaces of ANY kind! BUT, I haven’t the first clue as to what to do first in order to get myself around this type of work.
      Any advice?
      Thanks!
