    I've had my kenwood for about 45 years but I think only made bread once. Your video was so good because it was honestly done as if you were also finding out how the machine copes with making bread. I used to use my kenwood every day, fabulous machine. After watching your lovely demo I'm going to have a go with the bread hook. Thank you

    Use a slow speed for dough. Kneading it to develop gluten not mixing it. Hand kneading is a slow gentle process so why must machine kneading be fast and rough. All you are doing is putting unnecessary strain on the machine for little or no gain.

    I’m not an expert but honestly you fkn killed the mashine. It was on its way out of your house and away from your torture and you were woundering why it was jumping?! Well sir, it’s not supposed to run on almost Maximum when having a solid dough and the result should most defenitely not look like play dough. It should be almost sticky, let it rest and then you bake it out again with some flour where it will get ”the last” part of the flour. Shape into bread or buns and let rest again before putting it to the owen.

    Sir, are you working in a really cold place? Thanks for the video!

    It looks a bit too fast to me. Kneading speed should not exceed speed setting 2, as far as I know.

    Could you feel hot at the motor area? How many times have you been using till now. How long does it takes for each process especially kneading a dough?

    • @misterberks
      @misterberks  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The motor didn't get hot while I have been using it. But I only use it to mix small amounts, about just under 1kg flour. What I can say is that if you are making puree wth the blender option, I takes a little longer that a regular blender to get the puree texture.

    Hi Sir Berks. I am new to bread making and considering a stand mixer. Your video really helps a lot for me to visual its functionality. Its now 2 years old, is your Kenwood KHC29 still working fine?

    Is it OK to use 1kg of flour or no??? Is this shaking OK during mixing the dough???

    How much flour did you use in this? If I use 500 grams will the motor be strong enough?

    • @misterberks
      @misterberks  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes I believe it can handle 500g of flour easily. The bowl is big enough. I used about 250 to 300g in the video.

    Hi Sir Berks, just to follow up with your new Kenwood purchase. So far have you any problem with the stand mixer kneading dough from day one till today as I noticed from your video that the mixer head moving vigorously and I am worried that if I purchase the PROSPERO, it will give me problems esp on kneading dough

    • @misterberks
      @misterberks  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I am not having any problems at all with the mixer. It shakes based on how much you mix in it and the texture of the time. I used the blender function quite a lot. It's really fast and powerful.

      @@misterberks I have the Kenwood Chef Titanium mixer, and I love it. The head of mine doesn't move that much, but all tilt-head mixers will move a bit. As long as they are securely locked in position, there is no problem. Kenwood makes a very solid product. Nice video, thanks for that.

    What's your opinion about this machine good or need one better ?

    • @misterberks
      @misterberks  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think it a good machine. So far it has been doing the job quite well. I have used the mixing and blending function. They both worked well. However, the mug for the blender is plastic. I noticed while I was washing it after use, I had to be very careful otherwise it gets scratched during the hand washing. All my blenders that I have had before now were glass mugs and they could take a beating. This one- not so sure. Time will tell!

    Probably too weak motor. Save a bit more and get one with a 1200 watt engine.

    • @misterberks
      @misterberks  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If you are not doing heavy stuff all the time, then I gues the motor will be fine. But I would agree with you to some extent, buy the best 1200!

    Thanks. After watching this I am not impressed. I have a cheap 2 hook machine with lifting head but it does not go up and down like that. I will look for a different machine.

    These machines are a joke. No window test possible. I just brought mine and I thought it was gonna blow up. Has only 6 min runtime. So I may try to use my drill press and adaptions as these are designed for lots of work. I wish i did not fall for the gimmicks/marketing. No one is honest about these machines especially the runtime in my case was left out of the spec? I wish i used the money on a deposit for an industrial mixer approx 1k. However I have a few things like I mentioned to try out. Regards
