The man who made Billy Grahams casket died of pancreatic cancer at Angola prison where they have turned the prison into a hospice facility. His job was to make caskets for the inmates that died.He made his own casket shortly after he was diagnosed. 😞

I did not know that a prisoner made Billy Graham's casket. Great love, humility and forgiveness from the beginning to the end. Really reflecting Jesus Christ. Gospel of the Cross of Christ all the way through.
He lived like a millionaire king and played it off in the end to the fools. I'd take the million dollar life and let a pauper build me a great coffin in the end, where do I sign?

His father worked hard and long hours, on a dairy farm, to provide a nice home for his wife and children. These men cherished their wife and children. What's wrong with that? Not all men have that kind of good character. Who are we to question who God blesses materially? The jealousy is showing!...

I have visited that prison and have witnessed the casket making...love and respect goes into each one and they are beautifully made.

I was watching Rev Graham being honored by his lying in state at the Capital. I was struck by the beauty and simplicity of the casket. Thank you for sharing this with us. I grew up watching the crusades on TV. Rev Graham touched me every time and I miss hearing his voice but am looking forward to seeing him in heaven.🙏🏻✝️

what a HUMBLE choice of casket to have designed. so befitting of his life. Many would have wanted Bronze or something else fancy. He chose his burial casket as a symbol of the life he lived. Hi very life preached to all of us, all the way to the end! A true man of God, and we honor you.

@Leo Peridot The richest you talk about Jesus was talking to a rich man he said what must I do to inherit the Kingdom of God. Jesus head sell all your possessions and give it to the poor. You went away very sad hes not saying That christians muscle all their stuff and give it to the poor. What Jesus is saying anything that's more important him that's an idol we need to get rid of it like money houses cars girlfriend boyfriend children anything that a person May love More than God They are not worthy of God. After that men left he said it's easier for a camel go through eye of needle . And you're probly talking about the preachers on TV making millions they are not the man a God They are not Christian It's what we call appearance of ever Christian I call them fake question you're not even a Christian. So these churches are getting rich But you forget to look at closer Show me these churches are not Christian they are cults Like mormon Joe was witness muslims And so on Christianity is not a religion It's not about them mighty book its faith on God Repent accept Jesus as savior. Religion is man made works is man made despain in the church doesn't mean your Christian Being a member of a church doesn't make a Christian All that is works we cannot work on way to heaven it's by grace not works. As the biggest problem with the cults . Jesus Christ never set up a church catholics claimed Jesus did but he never did the Catholic Church was started 325AD . Even the apostle's do not start a church They preached They were killed for sharing a truth why on Earth were they risk their lives for Jesus Christ if it wasn't true they had a testimony of Jesus Christ if we could a done it ourself Being a good person Jesus Christ will not come and die for the whole world.

Now that is a beautifully made Casket. And, just like the Graham family to include people who need forgiveness like everyone does. But, in a unique position being a prisoner. Really a humble perspective and loving one as well.

The focus is not on prison or captivity but freedom and forgiveness in Christ - which is what Billy Graham preached for 6 decades. Clearly he followed his own teachings.
But no sane person may ignore the slave labor that produced it.

Bless you all. Really like this man. He was just normal and not at all like some of the TV evangelists who got all weird when I was growing up. The video reminds me of something I've been trying to decide for a while now though and it is this idea of burial. "Ashes to Ashes and Dust to Dust" keeps standing out in my head. I have no desire to be stuck in a coffin. Please get me back to the Earth just as soon as it can happen when I pass and cremate me. I cannot imagine being stuck there like that and it just does not seem to be a normal phase of life. "In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return." -- that, I like.

I pray that i'm making sense with these words as in we seem to do these things a bit backwards because we celebrate a new baby being born; Yet, we mourn our loved ones whom we lose and we miss them so much without remembering where it is that they have gone Home to. His public gaffes notwithstanding, of all the past or current televangelists, I believed that Rev. Graham was the most sincere & humble. The choice of a casket handmade by prisoners just reinforces that idea.

@Leo Peridot Not all christians do that. The Christian said done that are the fake christians you have not met the real ones. It's like saying every way person is a murder when one person. Same thing with christians. There are fake Christians say are there are christians but you're really not.

But they become a Christian when they're in prison God forgives What someone truly repents. It's 1 time God does not forgive Someone that's not a Christian add for God's forgiveness guide us and forgive that person because hes not a Christian he had to accept Jesus Christ as your personal savior repent of all your sins and accept Jesus Christ as savior. Because the ones that never went to church never read The Bible your argument is I never kill anyone I'm good to my neighbors that may be true but they have seen guys gonna judge even the personal since summer breaks even one law Bible says if you broke One law you broken them all.
