Picked mine up on monday and its already got 60 hours on it. I feel like I've already got my money's worth out of it. Mulcher arrives next week, I am excited to see it rip. Awesome machines
Nice review... I have the SSV75 and considering the 2024 SVL75-3 You're not wrong about the lift door and can't emphasize it enough. The Cat Man has been after me for years to buy from him but every time he calls, I have to ask "Did they fix those doors yet?" He told me once that Cat would never go to an overhead door and couldn't give me a reason other than "they just won't.". I'm willing to bet that he's wrong. The dependability of the K. engines is what attracts me. I've had an older bobcat min-x a Toro dingo and driven a few Kubota tractors for the city of Greensboro mowing fields. In my experience, these engines have been so damn good with minimal care. there are a couple of things I hope I do not have to deal with on the SVL that has happened on the SSV and that is the lift or tilt solenoids going bad and also I have lost a wheel drive motor (costly repair) but I can say I was using steel over the tire tracks at the time and the machine couldn't handle it.
I'm added to the wait list. Dealer told me I'm number 4 on the order list. Large dealer, so hopefully, not too long of a wait. I ordered all the same options you have.
I agree with you regarding the scratches, yes it’s a piece of equipment but for the amount of money you paid for it they should detail it like a new pickup.
@@toddwilson1599my thinking exactly. Sales manager at the dealer literally said you are going to scratch it up anyway 🤬 that’s beside the point you delivering a brand new piece of equipment scratched up is absurd. Couldn’t believe how they handled it. All ended up good though 👍🏽
@@MerrymanRanch 264 hours on mine and excluding the undercarrage and bucket there's not a scratch on it yet. not true at all if your really really careful!
@@ThatcherKSA agreed! I try to keep everything in pretty good shape. Why I couldn’t let it slide. I would’ve looked at those scratches every day I got in it
I'm looking to add a CTL to the farm this summer. Do you think it'd perform pretty well with cutting a roadway into a hill side? I'd also be handling 1500 pound square bales. Kinda worried that i might buy something a little under powered. I've been leaning towards the 333G for the extra power, but they're so crazy expensive. Great review also!
I think you’d be fine with both. Maybe some counter weights for more stability. I’ll be cutting a driveway on a new build next month, not off camber though. I looked at 333g as well, thought this was better fit for now. Thanks!
Just got my svl-75-3 a few weeks ago in Minnesota . 14 hours on the clock so far, mostly used for a forklift. Reverse fan, high flow, wide tracks, block heater. Coming from a clapped out t190 bobcat with foot controls. I can thread needles with the 6ft forks on the old bobcat but haven't got that good on the Kubota yet. I bought this machine mainly because of the door system. $68k before taxes, what did you guys pay? Great video!
Might seem kinda of petty, but the overhead door design is enough of a selling point for me. I'm sure there is a lot of instances where how I'd use it is stupid but sometimes the calculated risk is necessary. When you're working yourself, sometimes you need to be the operator and the ground man. The algorithm is scary sometimes though. I was finally going to make my first walk into a dealer tomorrow morning (what else can you do when it rains 6.5 out of 7 days of the week) and look at a SVL75-3 because of the promotional financing. I'm done trying to save for one the way things have gone the last few years, sign on the line and get to work already. I don't deserve a new machine, but after watching for a good used unit there is no question financing a new unit is the way to go.
I 100% agree. For price of used machines and how beat up they are I think it’s worth it. Don’t even realize how many times I use overhead door, but it’s a lot. I say go for it!
What is your opinion on how steady the pilot control is when you are working in tight places that you don't want to bump into? I was a bit disappointed in my new 75-3 It is not as steady as the deere electric over hydraulic that I ran.
Definitely can be a bit jumpy with rpms all the way up. Why I like to use foot throttle a lot. Was doing a tight grading job yesterday where that was the case
@@MerrymanRanch looking at the new Bobcat T650. They did away with the dpf with their latest engine redesign. I don’t think it uses def either, but I will confirm that with the dealer.
Good deal. Yeah I looked at a T66, definitely nice machine. Just like I said, small thing but wanted to be able to run with the door open. I believe major dpf service is at 2500 hours on these and I doubt I’ll still have it then, so knock on wood hopefully I don’t have to worry about that. Our new holland tractor has dpf and I’ve had a bunch of diesel trucks with dpf/def I’ve never really had an issue. Is another thing to brake and cause problems though.
So many little improvements vs 73-2, quieter, lifts higher, backup camera, lift with full fuel, faster speed, better servicing. I think the reverse fan works by engine temp… if you dont work it hard enough it wont time on.
The only down fall is I like the old tracks that were padded. If you are doing landscaping u wont like them so much. They are so aggressive ripping soil way more than the big pads on the other one.
Yeah definitely big improvement over 75-2. You can set reverse Blow fan to go off at whatever interval you want I have an hour set. Just have to be running full throttle when it kicks on, which makes sense.
I’m 6’2” which is part of reason I went Kubota, like the square cab. With door up above your head may get tight but plenty of room with door closed. I’d definitely go sit in one. To me cat, JD has less room.
For sure. It was pretty funny when I called him out. He walked back saying I got the one I test drove real quick 😂 I had pictures of it at dealer with no scratches

Awesome review! Thank you for the input! New machine on the way.
I’ve got 27.6 hours on mine- I just love it! Like you, I bought a new one
Nice unit , just put down my deposit should get my machine in a few weeks
Nice!

@@vinceWilliams-m2k 100% agree with you. 10 months in still loving it. Have been beating it up pretty good on job sites lately and it has been great.
Wow, 68-69 is great. I just got a quote for 78,000 with bucket, hf, wide tracks, cold weather kit.

Nice! I did some searching to find this. The dealer actually had 10 in stock but this was the only one with the reverse blow fan and high flow.
my dealer has quite alot in ssvs and svls in stock too here in canada @@MerrymanRanch
my kubota dealer here canada has alot in of ssv and svls stock plus he ships all over canada and u.s 👍
So i know what def is but what is dft? Thank you
Nice I like the updates compared to
My 75-2 . The info in that screen is huge. Looks like they fixed a lot of flaws with the -2 machines
Totally agree. Why I ended up going with the 75-3. Screen is really nice

dose the door rattle when it raised and you are working
With both pins set, no it doesn’t. That is one thing I had seen about the 75-2 as well

Right around $69k. I’m with you on the door, makes getting in and out real easy.
Mind sharing where you bought yours? Looking to purchase one?
Bayside Kubota in Upper Marlboro, Md. they should have some in stock.

What was your traction control setting set to when you found it not steady?
Does it have a dpf? One reason why I’m looking at Bobcat is their tier 4 doesn’t use a dpf or def.
Has dpf, not def. What model bobcat? Looked at a few

With the kubota can you load a dump truck? I want to see how easy or hard it is to load a dump truck. I am not sure if I should buy the 75 or 97
Max bucket hinge height is 122” so it should yes. 97-2 is 128.5”
I will be doing it this month on a demo so hoping so lol
Yes of course it will load dump truck. If your loaded tri axle dump get 97. 75 is more reliable no def
No def was big selling point for me as well
How are the tracks on the grass just curious? Might be getting one
Have to move slow on turns make them gradually, if you do doesn’t tear up too bad. If you spin on a dime obviously cuts pretty good
Tried the new Cat skiddy. No way and guess what I hit when exiting? Yeah the door.
That’s hilarious on the duty log. These dealerships kill brands
For sure. It was pretty funny when I called him out. He walked back saying I got the one I test drove real quick 😂 I had pictures of it at dealer with no scratches
Why don't you guys run a 4 in 1 bucket, in Australia that's all skid steers run with
I’ll probably grab one soon for grading. It just only comes with smooth or tooth bucket. Was ripping some stumps out this day so needed the teeth
You see that name on the arm? Thats what your paying premium price for.
Irregardless of price I still would’ve landed on the Kubota. Just the right machine for me and what I wanted
Pretty solid CtL, have a
22’svl 65-2 & thinking about trading for a 75-3!
Nice! I’d say go for it lol
